Right, I guess I would know more questions to ask about the dog. ;) I guess tourists need the info more readily. But I'll check it out tonight. Scold me if i don't.
Thanks. ;p Bye! Love you!

Beedoo!> Neater? I don't know about that. *l* We'll see. ;)
So, early on the planning roster is:
- flights
-- Do they transport pets?
-- How?
-- What are the rules for taking pets into The Netherlands on a temporary basis?
-- When? And when are you going back?
--- What does your employer have to say about it?
I think you may have a better shot at figuring out the rules for taking a dog over here. You'd think that being in The Netherlands it would be easier for me to find out, but I'm finding that anything involving immigration mostly gets explained to foreigners, which does make some sort of sense. ;)

Argargarg... >.<
Yeah, I think you're actually a lot neater and more organized than me. ;p
*nodnod* Yeah, I don't think it would be a good idea for her to travel alone. Especially with as nervous as she gets when I'm not around. Even drugged. ;p
Okee. ;)
And now, we need to go clean at Marie's, so I'll let you go to bed.

Yes, but it's the kind of measure of control where you never get anywhere. Nor is it very flexible. We need to focus on the smaller picture first.
Yeah, go be lazy! And learn Dutch. And clean my condo, which, really, I usually do in the weekend, so I doubt there is much to that anyway. ;)
My uncle who has competition dogs takes them to Norway sometimes, and knows people who buy their dogs all over the world. He says the quality and the rules of the transport differ per airline. So it'll be a consideration when picking a flight. I think it would be preferable if you two left and arrived at the same time.

I know you do. ;) Me too... it's a measure of control.
It's going to be hard for me to be that lazy.. I'm too independent... I mean, the time NOT doing stuff sounds lovely, in theory... Been a while since I got Summer Vacation.
I don't know THAT much about pet transport... the fursthest Kayenta's ever been from home is Del Taco. o.0

Or you can just be lazy, sit on your couch and mooch off of me. But I understand if you want to hunt your own food... ;)
So, if we're serious about you coming, we need to look at flights. Not just book them, though; we need to know their stance on pet transport as well. Heck, we need to know a lot more about pet transport!

*l* Well, that's one thing my boredom is good for... compulsive cleaning. ;p And hey, I'll have time to brush her all the time. ;) It's a matter of me getting off my ass to do stuff a lot of the time. ;)

I tend to want to over-analyze everything, plan out every contingency and have a perfect plan. But I think we need to do this in bits. First part is you coming here for a few months: what does it take? What will it cost? (Flight, dog transport, lack of income, potential future lack of income, dragon upkeep...)

Alright, I'll do that. *l*
Yesa, I DO look forward to having my house cleaned. And re-dirtied by your dog. ;)
Which option? Failure?

Tramped on/down the grass?
Believe me, I'll find lots of things to amuse myself with in your absence. ;p And cleaning. ;p I just feel bad about mooching off you...
Okay... so, there's more things we need to check out...
I count that as more of a contingency... I don't think it's likely, but the option is there.

Now, if you don't want to stay, things are less complex, but not simple. You go back, bereft and jobless, and cry and cry and cry and cry while you're poor until you get another job, I think.
Legally they are quite simple, though. You just went on a long vacation.

I will support you. You cannot work on a tourist visa. Which is something of a bummer cause you may be lonely without something to do while I'm working.
I suspect getting a civil union arranged is a matter of days. Of course, maybe that's just for two people of the same nationality. We could look into that.

Is it? What would you use then?
Well, if you want to stay, then apparently you have to go back home regardless and apply for the appropriate visa at the Dutch consulate in the United States (I -really- hope they don't want to see you in person!) Then I get a big pile of forms to fill out, after which they give you a sort of entry ticket visa to enter the Netherlands, and we go to the immigration services to have it turned into a partner visa.
However, this story was told to me by someone who only made the relationship official in the legal sense after she lived with him for two years.
