Gargoyles FAQ

XXI. Marvel's Gargoyles Comic

1. What was Greg's involvement with Marvel's Gargoyles comic?

He was consulted on the general plotline during its first year, and was slated to take over the writing of the book in the second year. He even wrote a story for it, set during the Avalon World Tour, that had the travellers encountering Coldstone and the Yeti in the Himalayas. However, the comic was cancelled before it could be published.

2. Why was the Marvel comic cancelled?

The book was cancelled because it didn't sell enough issues, and also due to Marvel's financial troubles (which caused them to drop many licensed titles at the same time).

3. Are the Gargoyles comic books canon?

No.
