Adam> Because that was the last stop on his Avalon quest. Unlike Goliath and co., Avalon didn't need Arthur to go anywhere else afterwards, at least on that particular trip.

Does anyone know why King Arthur's skiff sinks when he reaches London in "Pendragon"?

Masterdramon> That one line in there you mentioned? That just cannot be Darkwing; it's totally gotta be Negsy.

"It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."

Any fans of the Terror that Flaps in the Night will want to check out this short video of Jim Cummings...updating DW's variable catchphrase:

The reason why I'm posting it here should become clear by the end.

So when I got to "The Mirror" during my marathon, I to thinking. When put turns all the humans to gargoyles, do you like the look of any of those gargoyles (other than Elisa. She looks great as a gargoyle)?
Adam - [carl006_1999 at yahoo dot com]

A bit of WITCH never hurts either.

I'm not going to Convergeance, but I may just celebrate anyway with a Mecha-Nation reread.

Time to start the Gargoyles/SSM/Young Justice marathon in preparation for CONvergence.
Adam - [carl006_1999 at yahoo dot com]

Okay, turns out my earlier optimism about going to CONvergence was a little premature... Circumstances are just making it a little more trouble than it would be worth. I'm okay with that, and I in no way wish to impose on anyone else, but I thought I would throw this out here just on the off-chance anything will come of it:

Is anyone planning on going, who lives in or around east-central Indiana or would pass through on the way, and would possibly be interested in carpooling and sharing expenses? If anyone would be interested, you can contact me at the email below, and I'd be happy to further discuss the possibility.

Mr. Weisman, I know this may have been brought up several times, and I'm going to bring it up again, there are so many people that would love to see a movie made! I've seen so many fan trailers. This one in particular:

Is very well made and I've been dying for something in a movie form. Even if it were just the beginning of the series retold again! It would be fantastic if this could happen!

Wish I could make it to Convergence, I've got two family members that are both bakers and could probably pick up some good tips. Plus I'd love to learn the big Young Justice secret. Shame it has to be sworn to secrecy though.

I guess we should have seen the part about banana cream being the funniest pie coming. Though I hope that nobody will try to fire those pies out of a hand-held cannon.

Also, to anyone who has a flair for pastry...get to work.

Wait a minute..."Fancy Bastard"; if you rearrange those letters...and the monocle covering one eye...

...nah, surely just a coincidence.

NINE days in between today and the first day of CONvergence!

...Which it is looking more and more like I may be able to go to... just gotta work out some logistics for getting myself there, and complete the internal argument on whether I can justify the cost to myself...

KAYLLE> I have a copy of YJ V3 I'd be willing to part with for 'bout $10 plus postage and packaging. Mind you, I live in Ireland so the P&P will probably be slightly heftier than average.

We are in the month of June, the SIXTH month of the year.

Sorry, that's the best I got this morning.

Adam - [carl006_1999 at yahoo dot com]

I plead the Fifth.

Kaylle, Volume 3 is apparently not in stock at Amazon itself. I don't know if this is a temporary thing or not, but since only resellers currently have copies, they dictate the pricing. If you know of a local comic shop, you could see if they can order it for you at a more reasonable price. You could also wait and see if Amazon will restock the volume themselves or hope someone might have a copy for sale at a reasonable price at CONvergence (and yes, I'll be there, too).

Second!

I have a Young Justice question, I'm hoping there are some fans in here... I just started watching the show a few weeks ago and now I'm almost done, so I'd like to get the comics next. I see volumes 1, 2, and 4 on Amazon for roughly $10 apiece, but volume 3 is $500+. Is it just that much rarer than the others? Am I looking at the wrong book? I know I can get the digital version if I can't find a paper one, but I'd like to have a paper copy. I know I'm very late to the YJ party; maybe there's something I'm missing?

To be more on topic, is anyone in here going to Convergence? I'm starting to panic a little on the timeline, I still have a lot of costuming work to do!
