Man. If there was ever to be a Gargoyles revival, it would've been nice to see them try to get Nimoy to voice a character. You know, due to the whole Trek-Gargs connection. But now? *sigh*

MATT - Yes, that's one of my favorite moments in "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck" as well.

That part apparently grew from one of Carl Barks' Scrooge McDuck stories (I think it was called "The Old Castle's Secret"), where Scrooge is searching through Castle McDuck for a treasure placed there during a war in 1057. I wouldn't be surprised if Barks deliberately chose that year aware that it was when Macbeth was overthrown - thus meaning that he'd picked a year where there was indeed war going on in Scotland.

At first I thought it was a fake announcement like the april fools day Gargoyles one, but now I am tickled pink about the Duck Tales announcement. If it is 2-D Animation - which I think it should be - it'll be amazing. I can't help but wish Gargoyles were on their horizon.

That is all I will say.

This DuckTales accouncement is awesome.

And not a little funny because I just started reading my way through "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck". I always smile when I read that one of Scrooge's ancestors aided Macbeth in 1057.

Aaron Williams (who did the webcomic "Nodwick" and still draws and writes the webcomic "P.S. 238") wrote about the "Ducktales" return in his blog yesterday - and remarked that he'd also like to see "Gargoyles" return - but ignoring "The Goliath Chronicles".

You can read his comments on that here:

Good to know about the DuckTales reboot, there might also be some hope for a Gargoyles revival after all.

DuckTales -- Wow! With the Darkwing Duck comics also coming back, is it safe to say the nostalgia wave has finally entered the 90's?

Speaking of Disney XD shows (well, at least future ones), with only an episode left in the first season, I also wanted to say I've quite enjoyed Star Wars: Rebels, in particular I've grown fond of the entire crew of The Ghost. Fun characters, all around.

Gravity Falls, Rebels, soon enough DuckTales -- I'm surprised at how many Disney XD shows I'm attaching to, lol.

It won't just be the 30th anniversary of DuckTales that year. I'm of the opinion that if June Foray reprises Magica De Spell once again as she did for the Remastered game, the premiere of the new series (or the first new appearance of Magica) should air on September 18th...because I can't think of anything better for her centennial.

To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."

Ducktales premiered in 1987. 2017 will be its 30th anniversary... Gargoyles 30th would be in 2024. Will Disney XD bring that back too? ::fingers crossed::

NICE!!!
I'm excited... Is it 3D or traditional animation?

Not Gargoyles news but DuckTales is making a comeback with a new animated series.

@Masterdramon @Matthew @Brainiac Thanks, guys. I'm really looking forward to it. I went to the first tour down in Philly in 2012, and then the "Second Quest" in 2013, so I look forward to the format of this new season: the "Master Quest." I hope they do a tour next year to celebrate the 30th anniversary. :)

I just watched Transcendence last night. While it's 2 hours I'll never get back, it did make me think of Matrix and Dingo. :) I was hoping for some law and order at the end of the movie.

Anthony, Matthew> I've been to a few of the concerts as well, though none since the tour recently returned. I do have a friend near Boston whom I've reminded, so she might attend as well.

And speaking of shared things folks in here enjoy outside Gargoyles and Weisman productions...Todd Jensen, have you seen this yet?

Hope you enjoy the Symphony Anthony. I attended when they played in San Jose a couple years ago and it was amazing!

Anthony: Ooh, enjoy!

I attended when they came to Honolulu a few weeks back, and it was a real treat. Pretty much melted me into a big pile of nostalgic goop. :)

So nice to see this place still kicking after all these years - actually reminded of it by discovering (yay) and purchasing the finally-released Season 2 Volume 2 DVD from the Disney store website - that escaped my attention last year but hey - better late than never for a proper copy.
