Whoops: quality job for it is -> quality job for what it is. In other words, if a cinestory is what we're getting, hopefully they'll do a good job at it.

I completely agree, Inland. Some Amazon reviews on the Frozen Cinestory complain about the print quality and screencap quality too: http://www.amazon.com/Disneys-Frozen-Cinestory-Disney/dp/1926516001

Original or redrawn art would increase the production cost but hopefully Joe Books learned some lessons from Frozen and will do a quality job for it is.

I'd be very happy with Cinestory if it was a "complete" adaption: with original/redone art as a comic to work to the strengths of a comic. Direction, for example, is very important. Action flows in the direction the comic is to be read, panel to panel, page to page. I saw a page of the Frozen one and laughed at the small, silly sound effects typed out with fonts, no energy. Those could have at least been designed by hand.

No, there is no movie coming soon.

Does anyone know if there's a movie coming out soon of Gargoyles & how they're making it?

This...

This would not accurately test that hypothesis. On any level.

>does that mean the entire "Gargoyles" Season 1 and maybe even Season 2 will be adapted into cinestory comic format?

depends on the sales I guess...

Wow, for real?! :O So, does that mean the entire "Gargoyles" Season 1 and maybe even Season 2 will be adapted into cinestory comic format?

That's really surprising...which means a lot is riding on this? When we think about all the hints/teases that Mr. Sparrow and Mr. Greg Weisman gave us via Twitter, then...

Interesting insights here, Paul: http://www.s8.org/gargoyles/comment/archive/index.php?archive_date=2015-12-06

I think Demona actually does remember Gillecomgain - why else would the Weid Sisters' line "Who created the Hunter?" have carried the conversation forward in "City of Stone, Part 4?" I think the thing with Demona is denial. On some level, she probably regrets everything she's done, but doesn't want to deal with it consciously.

As for Goliath, I think he was already owning up to his mistake to an extent, just by virtue of the fact that the only reason he was there was to make sure nothing happened to Fortress 2. One has to wonder about Renard. My guess is he's patient with the people who demonstrate the potential to learn integrity. Goliath was having a real discussion with him. The employees that he fired probably blamed everything under the sun on other people, which caused him to give up on them quickly.

Two volumes with the first *nine* episodes - all the way up to "Enter Macbeth" rather than just "Awakening Part Five"? That *is* good news. I just hope the nearest bookstore will have them when they come out.

It covers the first five episodes. Volume Two will cover the next four.
Greg Weisman

hmmm it says "DISNEY`S GARGOYLES CINESTORY VOLUME 1"...

volume 1?
this thing has 384 pages and that's not enough to cover awakening parts 1-5?

Sorry for the double, but RIP Alan Rickman. You will be missed.

Matthew: Thanks. And yes...that was indeed the "J.W." I was thinking of. No way to know for sure unless we someday get more canon Earth-16 material, of course.

Nice coverage of CONvergence Masterdramon, wished I could've attended but it was not to be. Cool to hear about Frank Puar's surprise appearance, I was a big fan of Averngers EMH and would've loved to hear what was planned for season 3. Incidentally the only DC related J.W. I could think of is
Jai West which raises some big questions about Artemis and Wally's relationship
. Let me know if you had the same thought.

Very happy to see Greg plugging away at the queue again. And thanks so much for the kind words on my CONvergence 2014 report/journal/ramble/whatevs! Man reading that was a nostalgia trip.

And many thanks to you as well, Gorebash, for the technical assistance. :D

Those blank Ask Greg posts are no longer blank. There was a problem doing some character conversion from the raw data in the database to something more HTML friendly. That's all fixed.
