Matt> Because umfi's actually tenth, that's why not.

umfi> Nineties nostalgia has been brewing for a while now. Gargoyles will hopefully reap the benefit of that, bringing in fans both new and old.

There is balance in all things. Live in symmetry with the world around you. If you must blow things up and steal from those around you, THAT'S WHAT RPGS ARE FOR!

Was listening to a podcast about pop culture related to the gay experience (Sewers of Paris) and this week's guest talked about the X-Men show from the 90s. The host briefly mentioned that he was catching up on 90s animation, had just finished Gargoyles. The host and the guest seemed like fans.

It's a trend I've noticed lately-- either people are just discovering "Gargoyles" or nerd culture has made it okay to like it. I'm a 20 year old theatre major, I watched "Gargoyles" on Toon Disney when I was 5 years old and had the comics and DVDs when I was 10. I'm a life long fan and I always talked about it, but nobody ever knew what I was talking about. I mentioned "Gargoyles" in a theatre class last semester, and half the room, even the professor knew what I was talking about, even if they hadn't seen the show. And many of them had seen the show, and we had a discussion about Shakespeare's Macbeth vs Gargoyles' iteration. It happens so frequently now, I wonder where these people were when I decorated my 5th grade locker with Hudson and Broadway...

Very interesting phenomenon that I've only noticed very recently. I guess with nostalgia and list-icals, "Gargoyles" is a real bona fide cult classic now, huh?
