I also picked up the first ish of Starbrand & Nightmask 'Tis good stuff, very reminiscent of SpecSpidey in tone. Also marks the debut of 616 Kenny "King" Kong.

Picked up Starbrand and Nightmask #1 yesterday, along with Kanan #9 and Ms. Marvel #2 (as an aside, I think that's the most individual comics I've ever bought at the same time).

I was going in knowing absolutely nothing about these characters (including, until very recently, that they existed at all), so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's definitely off to a good start; the main characters are interesting, we get brief but enjoyable introductions to some supporting characters (including a SpecSpidey alumn! Okay, it's his 616 counterpart, but still), the dialog got some good laughs, and there's a nice mystery regarding what's going on with some villains that I'm very intrigued by. Based on this first outing I'll definitely be picking up the next issue.

(Also, loved Kevin's shirt.)

No shame at all! Watch:

Starbrand & Nightmask #1 AND Star Wars Kanan #9 both hit the stands and the e-stands tomorrow!!!

See. Just proved it.

Greg Weisman

I'd say the Wise Man just made some shameless self-promotion...but we already no he has no shame.

I've got the first Kanan trade already and I'm considering picking up the second when it comes out.

So big week for Greg Weisman in comics -- not only are we getting Star Wars: Kanan #9 tomorrow, but also Starbrand & Nightmask #1, right?
