Sir, this has been bothering me for a while. Please answer, as I am getting desparate.

1.I live in canada, and I realy want to get the Gargoyles Comics, starting from #1. Where can i find them?
2.Where can I find the second half of season 2? I really want to see that happy moment when Elisa and Goliath get together.

Thank you for listening, although I'm sure you get millions of these each day.

Greg responds...

1. I don't have any brilliant answers for you, beyond the obvious. Try Amazon, try SLG.

2. You can't. Not right now, but I'm working on it, and I promise to keep you posted.

Over where I live, I can see Gargoyles both in English and Spanish (which I prefer doing with the English closed captioning to notice all the little changes), which was dubbed in Mexico, I believe. And though it makes a few changes (like some names and objects being called by their Spanish meanings, switching around Claw's and Talon's names, Alex being called Alexander J. Xanathos), I believe the Spanish dub to be quite good, even though sometimes the voice acting can be kinda bad and other times it's great (Demona's voice actress steals the show there). My question being, have you ever gotten the chance to see Gargoyles dubbed in other languages? If you have, what was your overall opinion after getting to see it?

Greg responds...

I haven't. I'd be curious, certainly.

Why can's the Gargoyles episodes be put on the internet where those that wished to could purchase, download, and put them on dvd? That way Disney won't lose any of their precious money on production costs.

Greg responds...

I don't know. I'd prefer DVDs myself, but I'm open to other suggestions. But ONCE AGAIN -- IT ISN'T UP TO ME!!!!

I've noticed Gargoyles is now on twice a night. Is that due to the success of the comic?

Greg responds...

I doubt it. Wasn't always on twice a night?

I have been looking over Gargoyles fan sites and in the credits for some of the voice actors I have found the following:

Gargoyles: Brothers Betrayed (1998)
Gargoyles: The Force of Goliath (1998)
Gargoyles: The Hunted (1998)

After scanning your FAQs I am unable (or just blind) to find out what these are. Would you be good enough to tell me. Thanks
Brian

Greg responds...

Sure.

In the late 90s, Buena Vista Home Entertainment released the first season of Gargoyles on 5 home videos. I'll list the videos with the episodes they presented below:

1. GARGOYLES: The Movie: The Heroes Awaken
"Awakening, Part One"
"Awakening, Part Two"
"Awakening, Part Three"
"Awakening, Part Four"
"Awakening, Part Five"
[Note that this was an edited movie version of our five-part pilot, originally created for a special World Premiere screening in September, 1994.]

2. GARGOYLES: The Hunted
"The Thrill of the Hunt"
"Temptation"

3. GARGOYLES: The Force of Goliath
"Deadly Force"
"Enter Macbeth"

4. GARGOYLES: Deeds of Deception
"The Edge"
"Long Way to Morning"

5. GARGOYLES: Brothers Betrayed
"Her Brother's Keeper"
"Reawakening"

All of these episodes -- UNCUT -- will be available on December 7th, 2004 on DVD. Along with some cool extras.

Okay, so I'm sitting here watching the Halloween Gargoyles Marathon on Toon Disney when City of Stone comes on.

All goes well, until I notice another crazy edit-- the word terrorist.

When the Weird Sisters-as-little-girls are telling Goliath it was good of him to spare the terrorist, and warning him not to be like her, they cut off his response, "I'll never be like this terrorist," to, "I'll never be like this."

Not too bad, really, but they wouldn't let the Weird Sisters say it either. "We were not talking about this--" I dunno. Maybe a first time viewer wouldn't notice anything off... but I did.

Just thought you and the other folks around here might want to know. Toon Disney sure has its issues.

Greg responds...

Sigh. Yeah. The notion that a single word becomes problematic, even when used correctly strikes me as an overreaction.

And yet... and yet....

If you put your mindset back to the days immediately following 9/11...

A little extra sensitivity is hard to complain about...
