Thanks for posting portions from "Roswell Conspiracy"'s series bible. I only saw a few episodes of the finished version - which varied in quality; they included a rather funny Superman parody, and an episode that I particularly liked bringing in the downfall of Atlantis (using the Thira interpretation of it) combined with a few "Cyclops" robots (one of whom was identified as "Talos"; another was shown with a stick fragment in its "eye" - the real Polyphemus following his blinding by Odysseus?) - but it always rather interested me (especially the notion of the various alien races on earth being the origins of Earth's legendary creatures).
One particular feature of the excerpts that you posted so far: Siobhan's surname being "Barrow". Since, IIRC, Siobhan was actually a banshee - was the surname intended as a reference to the barrows found in the British Isles (which, given their Celtic origins, would certainly make them an appropriate inspiration for a banshee's surname)?
Pretty much.
What's "IIRC" stand for?
Is Gargoyles on any other stations besides Toon Disney?
Not that I know of, at least not in the U.S.
Who are Lexington's and Brooklyn's biological parents and what did THEY looke like?
Don't know.
Who was Hudson's mate and what did she look like?
Not saying and not telling.
What's up with Desdemona's (Colfire's) wings, how come no other gargoyles have wings like her's.
There is wing variation across the Gargoyle bio-community. You just haven't seen many gargoyles (not many are still alive, frankly) to know that she is not completely unique in this wing shape.
I just wanted to say that most my favorite characters on Gargoyles are Othello(Coldstone), Desdemona (Coldfire), and Iago (Coldsteel). And my question is this: Will you make more episodes or write more comics/books with them in it (preferably only about them)?
I have more stories to tell about them. Just need the forum.
Okay, I've looked but can't find the answer.
You said that gargoyles get energy from the sun, but they also eat (at least, Broadway does), so what kind of dietary requirements would they have? ie. would a gargoyle food pyramid of what they need to eat look like one for humans (lots of starches/carbohydrates on the bottom, fruit and veg. next etc), or should they eat proportionatly more of one thing than us and less of others?
I don't know. What do you think?
Will you ever give the no-name Wyvern clan members who were shattered names?
It's not too likely, as they didn't have names.
Do Lexington and Iago have mates?
Not as of 1996.
Hi again.
I was just wondering how much of yourself you tend to put into characters you create, on average. Or how much you tend to empathise with or even envy them in a way.
Eg: I wish i was Brooklyn, sharp, lean, predatory looking bastard who could probably get the females (or males if so inclined) easily.
Hope this question makes sense.
It makes sense enough.
I put a lot of me into every character from the best to the worst. Sometimes, I get pretty literal, as with Vinnie's last speeches in "The Journey".
Usually, it's not quite so on the nose.
I tend not to envy them much. My life (if not my career) is pretty darn great, so there isn't one of them I'd like to change places with. But I do empathize with them a lot. A lot.
