Not sure if you have answered this but if you have I am sorry to have repeated it. In TGC and by the end of the original show that you worked on it is shows that Xanatos has reformed now that he has Alexander.

1) Is he really reformed or is it just another ploy of his?

2) Why didn't he have the mutates turned back into humans if he was?

3) Would the mutates want to be turned back into humans? Being mutates let's them to help others better than when they were human.

4) Why did Xanatos's go after Derek to make him into Talon? I know that it was not some vindictive plan of his against Elisa since you have mentioned before that he isn't the sort to seek vengeance on someone.

Greg responds...

1. He hasn't reformed, but his priorities have shifted somewhat. He certainly feels kindly toward the Gargoyles, though that would never stop him from using them -- just from harming them.

2. I don't think he can.

3. Fang does not want to turn back. I think Talon, and maybe even Maggie and Claw have accustomed themselves as well. Though if presented with an actual bona fide opportunity to change back, it would be interesting to see if they took it.

4. Control. And means of control.

Prior to the rise of humanity, did gargoyles ever develop agriculture or animal husbandry on their own?

Greg responds...

Gargoyle Beasts were domesticated.

This isn't really a question at all. I just found that Carl Johnson has made the 14-minute "Gargoyles Suite" available on his web site, and it spans all the music themes heard in the episodes. There is also an original African-inspired track entitled "Panther Queen", as well as the main title themes for the Disney and ABC series. (I think that these are the same as the CDs from one of the Gatherings, but I can't be sure.)

Anyway, I thought that you'd want to know that the music is freely available now, and I'd bet that a lot of readers will be downloading it :) The address is http://www.swanderfulmusic.com/MP3/Default.asp?q=f&f=%2FCartoon%2FGargoyles

(If that link is mangled, you can find them by browsing Carl Johnson's pages at www.swanderfulmusic.com)

Thanks for the news!

I checked the FAQ and several of the archives and can't find this anywhere. So please god, tell me I didn't miss it.

A while back I had a gargoyles activity book that said Brooklyn didn't like pizza. Then a little bit ago I read a fanfiction story that said Lexington was the one that didn't like pizza. So my question is, which one of the gargoyles is it that doesn't like Pizza? I know that's kind of a dumb question but I'm really curious now.

Greg responds...

Originally, it was important to us that NONE of the Trio ate Pizza. This came from us being afraid that the Trio would be regarded as copies of the Turtles, who are pizza-obsessed. So I basically declared that during the first season -- NO PIZZA.

Now that the Trio is established, I'm less concerned. Frankly, I find it hard to imagine that they wouldn't like Pizza. What's not to like?

I heard *EONS* ago, that the Gargoyles series started out with (as fans referred to it back then) as a 40- or 80-page "Gargoyle Bible" on the 'rules' of gargoyles (including stone sleeping, capabilities, and the most minute little details). Is that still available? Where could I find it?

Thanks!

Greg responds...

I still have it. I think someone put it up on the internet at some point. Check in the comment room, and hopefully someone can direct you to it.

Greg, have you or disney been contacted by any computer game developers or publishers with possibly making a game in the gargoyles universe for the PC or the consoles,(eg playstation2, xbox ect). Are you a computer gamer yourself and if so what games do you play, and what games you have played do you like the most. My faverote would have to be the awersome PC game Deus Ex, becorse amongsed other things the mood and the hi-tech dystopian future theme reminded me of the kickass gargoyles "future tens" episode.

Greg responds...

I'm not a gamer myself. I did help Disney Interactive work on a Gargoyles game way back when. Nothing since. But I'd be very interested in helping.

You said Elisa and Tony Dracon had a history. What history was this?

Greg responds...

Whoah. I thought September 30th, 2002 would never end.

Anyway, they've had cop/crook encounters in the past. I'm not going to go into the whole story here.
