Thanks for taking the time for our questions! I was just watching "The New Olympians" episode of Gargoyles and as the camera pans the city there is a satellite dish on one of the buildings. I understand if you don't have an answer, but are they receiving signals from our (human's) satellites or do they have one of their own?

Greg responds...

I don't recall. Sorry.

While I was watching "Image," my jaw dropped. Over a week later, and I have yet to pick it up off the floor. I'd like to chime in with the other commenters on how well this episode works as a metaphor for being a trans person, and the fears and issues that anyone who is in the closet about their gender, identity, sexuality, etc, has to face and work through. That alone has bumped this episode up to second place on my favorites list. (With Bereft still holding the number one spot!) And has also solidified why M'gann is my favorite character in the series.

I love how M'gann's white martian form looks like an actual alien, and isn't sexualized (or even all that humanoid!) in the slightest. I love that her natural form defies the usual science fiction convention of green skinned space babes, and lacks any female characteristics. While I like the reptilian, xenomorph-ish design in the comics, I'd have to say this version wins out.

How on earth did you and the art team come up with such a great design that doesn't look like it's from earth?

Greg responds...

I give full credit to Phil Bourassa and Brandon Vietti on this. I'm just the dopey writer who gets to be impressed by these guys' work all the time.

One more question. In Agendas, Batman said he knew that Captain Marvel was actually a kid. Was that because Billy told him or because Batman investigated Marvel?

Greg responds...

The latter. Billy/CM didn't know Batman knew.

Greetings Greg!

I fully enjoy each and every episode of YJ, "Agendas" having just aired yesterday.

It did prompt a question or two which I hope do not qualify as spoilers.

1. Given that Batman is "The World's Greatest Detective," and claims he knew about Captain Marvel's secret Identity the whole time (I have no reason to believe he didn't, he is that good after all), Are there other members of the league (or other superheros on the level of the league) who have not shared their secret identity, but Batman already knows their secret. (I am only hoping for a yes or no and would not ask you to provide a list.)

2. From what we saw for the JL's membership procedures, it seems to be almost completely democratic (I hope I did not misinterpret). Each member gets to vote on each issue, each potential member/member under review, etc, even those issues where a member is concerned (IE renewing Dr. Fate and Captain Marvel's membership status). My question is: when Batman was elected as head of the JL, did he vote for himself, or not?

Thank you for taking the time to Answer the questions you do.

Greg responds...

1. Yes, Batman knows the secret identities of everyone in the League. They do not all know that he knows.

2. I'm sure he would have. Though I'm not sure there was a formal vote for individual members when it came to the seven founders.

Greg responds...

1. During Season One, quite solid. During Season Two, they're estranged - to protect them.

2. Not particularly.

3. Probably there was, before he (seemingly) betrayed the kingdom.

4. Not particularly.

5. Good.

Oh no! Not only was Superman dna stolen...but by Lex Luthor!!!!! And there is more than one clone! Poor Superman. It is awful when you think about it.People keep giving him a hard time but this was almost like rape.He is by far the victim in all this. I hope this is not used as a plot device for Superboy story but acknowledged and handled sensitively for Superman's sake and the sake on any person who has been violated. And it must be me, but Captain Marvel in the JL disturbs me. He IS a kid in a man's body. I cannot see how Batman can find no issues with it. Are they really going to have him sitting there while they could be discussing things that are not age appropriate? Interesting Batman can just wave his hand at everybody and tell them how right he is and how wrong they are to question him.

Greg responds...

I wouldn't say that Batman is doing that at all. Clearly, he'd personally vote to keep Cap in the League. But he's not even advocating that the others agree with him, and I don't know where you get the idea that he's being superior about it. I think that must be baggage you're bringing to the scene, cuz there's nothing there to justify what you're suggesting in the actual episode.

Since, by this time, we know Cap stayed with the League, a majority must have voted for him to stay.

Not a question, but rather some praise. I seriously love "Young Justice". I think it's an absolutely brilliant show and I like how each episode gets better and better every time. Character development and interactions have been very enjoyable, the plots are engaging, I love all the voice talents chosen for each role, the animation is outstanding... All in all, it's amazing.

Right now, I'm waiting for "Insecurity" to air this Saturday and I'm positively anxious to watch "Performance" the Saturday that follows. I almost can't stand the wait, actually, but I'm being strong! (Fingers crossed for no more hiatuses from CN, too~ XP)

So I just wanted to say thanks to you, Brandon and everyone else involved for giving me a series to love and a good reason to enjoy weekends just a bit more. Cheers!

Greg responds...

You're very welcome. Of course, we're on summer hiatus now, but you got 15 straight episodes first, and a lot of series go on hiatus for the summer, so I hope we're forgiven and that you'll be back with us in the fall.

Wow! 'Agendas' was fantastic!

1. You've said that Black Canary is your favorite (DC) character - do you have a favorite male character?
2. Were Match's irises blue or gray? I couldn't tell.
3. How old is the Atom?
4. What color are Talia Al Ghul's eyes?
5. Is the Atom in this series Ray Palmer?
6. This isn't really a question - I just wanted to say that I love your portrayal of Lex Luthor! He's very manipulative, but in this oddly charismatic way. Perfect for Luthor.

Thanks so much!

Greg responds...

1. Probably Captain Atom, though I'm a big Red Tornado fan too. And of course, I love our versions of Aqualad, Superboy, Robin/Nightwing, Kid Flash, etc. Heck, basically, I like all of 'em. Male and female, young and old, heroes and villains and supporting.

2. I don't know. Weren't they white?

3. As of "Agendas", he was 35.

4. I don't know.

Hi Greg!! First let say,I love the series!! I was very excited to see the series return!! I have watched the first four installments since the series has returned, and have enjoyed them very much!!!That being said, my comments and questions are on the 17 March 2012 installment image. Miss Martian is my favorite character, i thought this installment was outstanding! Even those it was hard to see her in so much pain after seeing the vision of Superboy. I hoping this doesn't destroy her relationship with the team, especially her relationship with Superboy, i like them as a couple, i think their good for each other. I can understand why she's wouldn't reveal her true form.I'm pulling for her,i hope good things happen for her!! That not a spoiler request, just making a comment about what i hope for her,Again i'm really pulling for her!!
My questions
1. Does the manhunter have martain vision on this Earth??

2.Why was Superboy so surprised that Miss Martian based a lot of life on that sitcom " Hello megan" ?? When it seemed like he called her out on that in the Terrors episode.

Greg responds...

1. If you mean as some kind of additional power, then no.

2. Who said he was surprised?

1. Why was there a scene cut from Agendas? I mean the one where Superboy demands entrance into Project Cadmus.
2. What did Doctor Fate say after Superman was objecting to allowing underage children in the Justice League? It starts with "That seems....., but I cannot understand what he is saying.
3. Who voiced Hal Jordan and Hawkwoman in Agendas? Are they going to voiced by the same people or was this just a one time thing until others can found to voice them full time.

Greg responds...

1. The slot in the DC Nation block is shorter (to make room for the shorts) than our original timeslot was when we were an independent show. Something had to be cut.

2. "That seems myopic. I have been one with Kid Flash and Aqualad. Both are ready."

3. Neither are officially cast, but I believe that Danica was Hawkwoman and Dee Bradley Baker was Green Lantern (Hal). But unfortunately, my Season One scripts are boxed up at this moment, and I cannot double check.

Dear Greg,
So, today's episode; Wow... First off, great job with Match. The costume seemed inspired by his early appearances, but having him burn the S on his chest, at first reminding me of the affectioantely-named Emo-Prime, then reminded me of Match's later Bizarro-inspired appearances. Again, nicely done.
Other things I liked in this were the first mention of The Atom, very cool. Making Roy and Guardian family, also cool. And Hal & John's response to Guy joining the team of NO. Hillarious! On that note, nice voice casting with Maggie Q as Diana, she commanded such authority, nice job.

Please keep it up and pass my good tidings to the rest of the cast & crew.

Yeah, we all loved Maggie's Wonder Woman. And she was so much fun to work with too.

2. Guess it depends on Lex Luthor's blood type, but still I tend to think not, because Kryptonian blood would not be compatible with human.

Hi Greg, I want to know if you think Batman's response ( In Agendas) about why he trained Robin from age 9 really somehow justifies taking children into crime fighting. Because in my mind it does not. No matter how Batman ( or the writers) spin it. Taking in a teenager is very different to a child.

Greg responds...

Well, I guess it depends on which universe you're living in. In ours, I'd agree with you. On Earth-16, I think it's extreme, but I buy it.

Agendas was awesome. A few questions, though.

I'm assuming that Guardian is Jim Harper and that he's the younger brother of Red Arrow's biological dad (He did say Roy was his nephew, after all, and if it really is Jim, the shared surname would indicate a paternal relation). Is my assumption correct?

You said in response to an earlier question that Guardian was only 24 years old. If the above assumption is correct, was there a big age gap between Guardian and Roy's dad? Because I can't imagine a mere six year gap between uncle and nephew otherwise.

Does Roy know that he has an uncle?

On a happier note, congratulations to the cast of "Young Justice" for being nominated for "Best Vocal Cast in a Television Series" and "Best Male Vocal Performance in a Television Series in a Supporting Role" (Crispin Freeman- Roy Harper/Speedy/Red Arrow) at the BTVA awards. You guys certainly have my votes- though I figure that by the time you read this the voting process and the announcement of the awardees would be long over.

Greg responds...

Well, by now, you probably know that in fact Guardian/Jim Harper was NOT in fact Red Arrow's uncle. Instead, BOTH were clones of the original Roy Harper, i.e. Speedy. Guardian was force-grown to be older, but he also was cloned SECOND, so he's actually younger.

Red Arrow did believe for all of Season One that Guardian was his father's much younger brother.

I've never heard of the BTVA Awards and had no idea we were nominated? Did we win?

Agendas

Damn it, Greg! Please don't make me like Lex Luthor. You've already made me like Venom, stop doing this. Stop taking character that I consider to be lame and making them work for me! Okay, with that tangent out of the way, let's segue into my review.

It's been twenty episodes, and sixteen months since we last saw Project Cadmus. Ideally, we wouldn't have had the delays between episodes that we did, but that is hardly the fault of the show. Still, it was nice to see Superboy "return home" and face his past. This is the third episode in a row to focus on a specific member of The Team. Kid Flash got his episode, Miss Martian got her's. This week, it was Superboy's turn. As with the previous two episodes, this was one the character needed.

I know next to nothing about the DC Universe, but through pop cultural osmosis, I knew who Superboy's other dad was since shortly after the series got started. I thought Luthor was very effective in this episode, and I loved seeing him play the good dad. If I step back and pretend I don't know anything about Lex, his words near the end were frighteningly agreeable.

"Big Boy Blue lives in a world of black and white. You were created by the bad guys, so there must be something wrong with you. But we both know life isn't that clear cut, the real world is full of grays."

And he's right. Lex Luthor is right. I'm sure some Superfans are going to be disgusted with this, but it's true. Now, granted we all know Luthor is a very dark shade of gray, and he is using the truth for his own ends, but that doesn't make him wrong.

I also enjoyed Luthor's Xanatos Gambit. He used Superboy to discover the genomes, and bring them back under control. Smart. Practical. Smarter and practical than the DCAU version of Lex Luthor who threw a fit when something didn't go his way and always got his ass handed to him at the end. But what should I expect when you put Lex in the hands of the man who created David Xanatos. Luckily for all involved, I don't think Superboy is going to turn out to be like Thailog.

Loved finally seeing the Watchtower, and I loved this design. It was built into an asteroid, instead of just being an orbiting hunk of metal. Pretty cool. It was great seeing the Justice League get together and really seeing how they operate, and the disagreements among the team. Maggie Q is a great Wonder Woman, and I loved when she needled Batman for training Dick Grayson to be Robin at nine years old, and I loved it even more when Batman said he did it so Dick wouldn't end up like him.

Four home runs in a row, keep them coming.

Greg responds...

Thank you, Greg.

Hi Greg.
Loved Agendas. It was interesting to see the JLA's voting process regarding
new membership.
I have some questions related to that:
With the remarks about the importance of the membership decisions and that the JLA doesn't want to encourage the creation of another Injustice League, does the JLA
have a maximum amount of members? If so, is part of the reasoning to keep League decisions from becoming too unwieldy?
Wonder Woman's suggestion of expelling Captain Marvel took me by surprise. Is a
unanimous decision required to expel a member?
You mentioned in a response to a past question that Zatanna was previously deemed an authorized guest. Does this status have to be voted on as well?
Finally, it was good to see a glimpse of the Atom. Is Ray Palmer well-known by the general public to be a renowned scientist? Does the League factor into their decision his scientific knowledge?

Thanks for another great episode!

Greg responds...

1. Nope. Although as Superman stated, the option exists to vote no to all new members.

2. I don't think unwieldiness is a big concern. There's no rule that all Leaguers have to go on all missions.

3. Nope. Just a majority.

4. No.

5. By the GENERAL public... I kinda doubt it. But he's a leading physicist in his field. Many people would have heard of him.

6. Potentially. It'll certainly come in handy in Season Two. (WHOOPS!! SPOILER!!!)

Are we talking about in the world of the show or about the work of making it?

If the former, then she wasn't 'chosen'. She just lost the game first.

If the latter, then it was because we wanted others to react to her death and because we felt we had more interesting dilemmas to present by keeping others alive longer.

When Lex says to Superboy in "Agendas", the episode that just aired, that half his DNA is human, I assume he's being figurative and it's actually less than half, since he spoke merely of filling in missing sequences and Superboy looks just like Superman; much like one could say "Delilah is half Demona and half Elisa" but it wouldn't be technically accurate. For some reason her mentioning seeing Kid Flash on the news seemed to suggest that...But then again plenty of people see him on the news, don't they? ...Hmmm...

I don't think the FACT that she saw him on the news means she had a crush on him. But she could have indeed been curious about him. He's a young hero about her age. That's something that she would have been interested in - maybe even fantasized about - as she dreamed of being a hero herself (and not a criminal like her parents).

If this double posts I'm sorry, whoever the admin is can remove this only if it is a double post.

I saw your answers to my questions, or one of them anyway, but I also noticed that I left out the second question.

The companion comics have a date of say April '12 on them (issue 12) but that comic came out in January '12. Was this intentional or were the comics finished sooner than expected? I was waiting for the questions to open back up to ask this, and when asked, I messed up and left out my question.

I've noticed this trend when looking at the page on the comic website I order from. I may be wrong, I don't know.

One added thing, I noticed looking at the comic site, that Issue 14 has a different look than 1-13, any reason why the change in the way you display the issue number.

I've never really understood why comics' cover dates don't ACTUALLY reflect the dates they come out. (For example, it's currently July as I write this but our "September" issue just hit the shops, stands, etc.) But it's a fairly universal thing. Not at all specific to YJ.

You're welcome. (But you don't have to infer anything, as I flat out stated it.)

Has there been any recasting for season two?

Greg responds...

RE-casting? For Season Two? You mean changing the actor who played a character for the new season? No, not that I can think of. Obviously, we've added cast members for new characters.

Sha'lain'a is awesome!!!!!
Why does Kaldur's mom like like Beyonce?
Does Sha'lain'a have any powers of her own?

Greg responds...

1. I don't really think she does. But if you see the resemblance, that's fine.

2. She has the same basic Atlantean attributes that would - on the surface - make her seem super-human. But she has no magical abilities.

DO you have control over what goes on YJ dvds? Would you consider putting extented versions of the shorts of DC Nation in them? I remember the authors saying they usually leave things out...

Greg responds...

I have no control over what appears on the DVDs. None.

Hey Greg, for a random question that has NOTHING to do with spoilers or any of your shows.

As a fan of Kim Possible, since this will hopefully be answered by you by the time it's 10 year anniversary comes around:
1.) What's your favorite episode?
2.) Who's your favorite villain and why?

Greg responds...

1. I've seen many Kim episodes, but there are probably many more that I haven't seen. My favorite one that I wrote is "Big Bother", but I only wrote two, so that's not much of a sampling. And in any case, it's been a bit too long. I can't remember too much beyond the fact that I loved what I saw of the series.

2. Probably Drakken. He's fun.

Hello, me again!! I remembered my other question :D

Ok so, light refracts when it enters water, many people know this. What I'm wondering is if Atlanteans notice this when they go on the surface world, do colours look different? Are small details (eg small writing) hard to see on the surface? Is everything a little blurry underwater? etc.

Am I reading to much into this??

Anyway, thanks for your time, love your work!

Ps- my brief perusal of the latest questions showed no spoilers!! Go ranting!!!!

Greg responds...

I don't know the science of this. Suffice to say, they adjust enough to get by.

Marvin Martian Manhunter: writes...

Hey Greg love your show, and the characters. There's only one thing that's really bothered me in this series. What is it that Artemis sees in Wally that would make her be interested in him?

I haven't seen her do anything that suggests she's interested romantically. Again, that isn't to say that I see no relationship between them - just I see it as more of a surrogate sibling relationship thus far.

In order for this to be a romantic relationship, Artemis would have to enjoy Wally's company, and she doesn't. They rarely interact between missions besides when she's being a bossy surrogate sister to him. She doesn't like his sense of humor and I don't think she thinks very highly of him, either. If most of this interaction has happened in that comic book then that's different. Unless Artemis is poking Wally about him saying something dumb or seeing a chance to deflate him a bit (for his own good, in the end), she doesn't talk to him at all.

People have noted that Artemis got jealous of Megan in "BEREFT" when Wally mentioned knowing her, but they forget one crucial detail - up until that point, Wally gave Artemis his undivided attention. Being attracted to someone, and being attracted to their attention are two very different things. Besides, the problem with "BEREFT" being the biggest anchor to their "romantic" relationship is it relies on an AMNESIA, and the benefit of that plot trope is to have characters act differently than they usually do due to ignorance
I KNOW that Wally & Artemis are supposed to be a couple. My issue is that I see it as a case of the show TELLING me something rather than being effective at showing me. After all, "TSSM" didn't need amnesia or Dr. FATE to get across the notion that Peter and Gwen were kismet. And that lessens my enjoyment and appreciation of that subplot, where I feel it doesn't work without blunt signposts directed by the plot itself.

For equal time, Wally did spend much of his time beyond "BEREFT" flirting with Megan incessantly, until "COLDHEARTED" obviously. It was mostly his fault that they started off on a wrong foot, since he was upset that Artemis was replacing Speedy. Yes, he stopped referring to Artemis as "beautiful" after the amnesia beam was undone, but we still see he cares because at least twice he's reacted very strongly when Artemis was either hurt or "killed" in subsequent episodes. Of course, this reaction is similar to that of Conner - screaming her name and going on a rampage - although unlike Conner, Wally can't back it up. I've seen Artemis show as much concern for Kaldur during a rough mission as she has for Wally, which doesn't quite equalize it. I can at least rationalize that Wally likes Artemis because he finds her hot. I can't think of a single thing Artemis likes about Wally, at least romantically (or even in general). Which is why I interpret their relationship as more of a surrogate sibling quality, even as the show hammers that into a different shaped peg.

Greg responds...

Well, believe it or not, I think she found him physically attractive from moment one. And vice versa. I also think she admires his scientific brain. Wally can be a goofball, but there's no denying that he's brilliant. And she's interested in the same science he's interested in. I also think that she admires his heart; Wally never gives up. And I even think she admires his normality, which is something she never had. I think she likes the way he holds his own with her, gives almost as good as he gets, which she respects.

Basically, I think there are a lot of reasons she's attracted to him - even if she doesn't want to admit it to herself. Now, whether we've succeeded in showing this is a fair question and clearly, as far as you're concerned, we haven't. But for other fans, we clearly have. And I feel pretty good about it, myself. So... <shrug>.

Anyway, the thing I don't think you're really taking into account - or at least you're letting this surface fact overwhelm your interpretation of the relationship - is that both Artemis and Wally are (or were at the beginning of Season One) two very insecure people who cover their insecurities in different ways. Artemis plays the tough girl, and rarely lets her armor down. Wally plays the blustering wiseacre, and rarely admits to his true feelings either.

You say they hardly interact between missions, but we rarely SHOW you any time between missions. And she pokes him BECAUSE she likes him. And vice versa. It's a cliché, but it's one based on the very real way people - especially teens - sometimes behave.

I also disagree with your interpretation of "Bereft". You dismiss it based on tropes like "amnesia" and having characters act differently. But the whole point of Bereft was the clean slate. Artemis didn't have some kind of all-encompassing amnesia and neither did Wally. They ONLY lost six months, which happened to include their mess of an introduction to each other. But neither were behaving out of character for even a second. We tried to show that if they had met under different circumstances, the attraction to each other would have been immediate and reciprocal, and neither would have had to go through all the baloney that their true first meeting caused. The amnesia didn't create an artificial situation. It was their bad first intro that created that.

Now, you may have a point about "Denial". Perhaps we did "tell" too much in that. But I think we ALSO showed. I see chemistry between them in that episode, which Kent NOTICES and comments on. You don't see it, so it feels to you like it's being shoved down your throat artificially. But we'll have to agree to disagree there. I see the chemistry first. The messed-up interaction (and other characters reaction to both) second.

Oh, and by the way, I don't think Wally was ever really upset that Artemis was replacing Speedy. I think that was just an excuse. Shallow as it sounds, I think he was WAY more upset that he tripped and looked like a fool in front of a pretty girl, who then (due to her own insecurity) made fun of him. He reacted badly to that. And she reacted badly to his bad reaction. If Red Arrow hadn't been an issue, Wally would have just found a different peg on which to hang his insecurities.

I bought the trade paperback of "Young Justice" (issues #0 - #6) today and enjoyed it. A few specific comments.

1. The Terror Twins gave me a mild "Jackal and Hyena" feeling; I especially thought of the Diamond Exchange scene at the start of "Her Brother's Keeper" when I read the part about them on the loose in the mall.

2. Judging from the flashback to the Joker's invading the Justice League's old headquarters, the Flash must have once been just as much a wisecracker as Kid Flash now is, though he seems to have settled down in the present-day scenes.

3. The story in #3 and #4 ends with Selena apparently getting assassinated by the League of Shadows after all, even after the two assassins we met "on stage" were foiled, meaning that the team failed in its mission - something you don't see in super-hero stories too often. The last silent panel brought that home well, I thought.

4. I thought that #6 came up with an ingenious way of telling Robin's origin story without having him break the "don't reveal your civilian identity" stricture, by having him remember it to himself.

5. The end of #6 was another shocker - a vision of Superman gone rogue, destroying the Daily Planet building and killing Lois Lane and Perry White, before Superboy takes him down. It left me wondering: does whoever was behind Superboy's programming believe (and fear) that Superman may indeed run amok someday, or is that what he wants Superboy to believe? (A rhetorical question, I should add.)

I also enjoyed all the humor in it, from the scene in #0 where Wally's mother is correcting his grammar and Superboy misinterprets her statement to Miss Martian unwittingly demolishing Wally's plan for a private moment with her by the campfire and Wally's account of his origin (and, yes, having two super-speedsters from different eras called "Flash" *is* confusing, though at least they wear different costumes).

I'm definitely buying the next trade paperback when it comes out - and I'm also glad that it's easy to follow for someone like me who has only a general familiarity with DC Comics.

Greg responds...

1. I can see that.

2. Ditto.

3. Agreed. I think Art and Franco did a great job with that.

4. Thanks. We suggested that to Art and Franco.

5. Those aren't mutually exclusive options, of course.

Making it accessible to hardcore and casual fans alike was the goal.

Did Artemis's father physically abuse her at all?

Greg responds...

Depends what you qualify as physical abuse. He didn't beat her or abuse her sexually, but he forced her to push her body beyond the endurance that any decent parent would force on his or her child. And he was certainly emotionally and verbally abusive. (Not that HE would agree.)

Hi Greg, i would like to ask how does martian shapeshifting work? How did they get the anatomy of any living lifeform correct by thing about it e.g shape and position of lungs, heart reproductive organs etc by just thinking about it.

Also, clayface's shapeshifting ability does the clothes he forms when he changes his form feel like real clothes or like clay and can he take those clothes off or they automatically reduce to clay?

Thank you

Greg responds...

1. Study and experience. Telepathy probably helps. But that's why, in Season One, Miss Martian had trouble with male anatomy. She had not studied it in the same way.

2. They'd feel like clay - though he can modulate how wet or dry, soft or hard it is.

2a. He can shed any of his clay (including fake clothes) as it's a morphic field that keeps him alive. And, yes, once out of contact with him, the clothes would revert to clay... though I'm not sure if the color would change or not.

Red Robin writes...

Hey, might I first say how much I'm enjoying the work you've done on Young Justice. I grew up watching Gargoyles, and when I heard you were going to be the one behind my favorite super-hero team, I was beyond excited. You've also been able to create such rich mythologies and fantastic characters.

1. So, I know that you've got a large selection of DCU characters that are going to appear in the Young Justice series as both minor and major roles, but due to the fact that there are a lot of variation of certain identities (i.e. 5 different characters who were Robin, 5 different Batgirls, etc...), are there any particular characters that you would have greatly liked to use for the show, but found yourselves unable to due to the continuity and current time setting of the characters you've established?

2. Its been established in the YJ comics that it wasn't only Dick Grayson's parents who died, but also members of his extended family who were also in the act. In the archive I see you named his aunt who died Karla. Did you at any point consider naming her "Harriet Cooper", as in the aunt of Dick's who appeared in the Adam West Batman show?

3. Why was it decided by the creative crew that Dick's uncle would survive, but remained paralyze?

4. Why are white martians portrayed as more humanoid looking in the Young Justice comic, but Miss Martian's white martian form looks more bizarre? Was it part of Miss Martian's lie, or just a decision on the part of the artist of the comic?

Greg responds...

1. Well, I suppose. But given enough episodes and/or issues, I'm sure we'll get to every character that Brandon and I want to get to.

2. Honestly, it didn't occur to me, but Aunt Harriet must exist somewhere on Earth-16.

3. It has to do with a future story idea.

4. AGAIN... nearly all the visuals of Mars in the comic were part of M'gann's lie. ALL Martians actually look (more or less) like M'gann's White Martian form as revealed in "Image", differing only by color.
