Rain of the Ghosts AudioPlay

Hello,

As you may know, a few years ago I started writing a series of Young Adult novels, starting with Rain of the Ghosts and followed by its sequel, Spirits of Ash and Foam. I've enjoyed the process and I've enjoyed working on a franchise whose course I can steer myself.

More recently, I launched an ambitious project, adapting Rain of the Ghosts into an unabridged full-cast AudioPlay with an all-star list of voice talent, a musical score and sound effects. (It's definitely not your standard single-narrator audiobook.)

The voice tracks are already recorded and paid for, but projects like this are expensive, and to finance the post-production (editing, scoring, sound effects and mixing), I've launched a KickStarter campaign* here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1693681637/rain-of-the-ghosts-full-cast-audioplay.

I hope you'll consider pre-ordering a copy of the Rain of the Ghosts AudioPlay on KickStarter.

Now with this sort of thing, getting early momentum is very important, so if you are going to contribute to the campaign, the sooner you do the more it helps us out. It would also be very helpful if you could help us spread the word about the campaign. Forward this email to your friends. And if its something you do, mention the project on social media like Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. The campaign's Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rain-of-the-Ghosts/414679108692632 and the KickStarter page can also be reached by clicking on http://www.rainoftheghosts.com. For those of you who are on Twitter, my handle is @Greg_Weisman and we're using the hashtag #RainoftheGhosts. I'm also more than willing to do interviews and press, so if you are connected to any kind of press outlet, please don't hesitate to contact me. Every little bit helps!

Thanks,

Greg Weisman

*For those of you, who - like me - choose to live largely in the technological past, KickStarter allows individuals to contribute funds toward worthy projects, receiving "rewards" in exchange for their donations, with a guarantee that no money is delivered unless the project fully funds, thus insuring its completion. If you'd like to contribute but are having trouble negotiating the KickStarter website, please contact me for help.

Do you have a favourite Ben 10 episode and favourite Batman: The Brave and the Bold episode?

Greg responds...

Well, I won't pretend I've seen all episodes of either series. I haven't even seen all of my episodes. But I liked Ben Ten Thousand a lot, and likewise Requiem for a Scarlet Speedster.

First off Hi and I just wanted to say in love young justice and am hoping for its return, but I have a few questions
1. Did Aquagirl use stealth tech during her time with the team?
2. Did Tempest?
3. Did Jason Todd?
Thank you for taking the time to answer

Greg responds...

1. Yes.

2. Yes.

3. Probably not.

We know that Oberon sent the Fae out from Avalon in order to teach them some humility... Was there a singular inciting incidentthat caused this ruling, or was it just from the sheer number of small incidents of individual Fae?

Greg responds...

Okay, first. I try not to use the word "Fae" to refer to all of Oberon's Children. That's a fan term, which I have - through not paying attention - occasionally found myself using by accident or out of laziness. But I'm trying to break myself of that habit.

Anyway, the answer is BOTH, i.e. there was a cumulative effect of multiple incidents that started Oberon thinking along certain lines. But there was also a singular incident that ultimately triggered his decision.

If Guardian (Jim Harper) is a clone of the original Speedy, which I'm assuming means they are genetically identical, why is the Roy clone of speedy a good amount shorter than Jim Harper even though at start of Invasion he is 23-24 and approximately a full gown adult? Shouldn't they have ended up at the same height or does the cloning process stunt growth after it is done?

Greg responds...

Fair question that I should have - but never have - thought of before. And I honestly don't know the in-universe answer. Open to suggestions.

Dose Brooklyn have a younger sibling I read gargoyles couples each normally have three eggs/ three children so I know he has a brother dose he have a younger sibling.

Greg responds...

For all we know, Brooklyn is the youngest of the three biological siblings. If he did have a younger sibling, he or she would be the same age as True.

But, of course, I'm not going to confirm or deny anything. No Spoilers.

Keep in mind that Brooklyn considers his siblings all to be the same age, give or take a day or two. The biology matters less than the Rookery.
