I really love the gargoyles tv show an when it ended I was sad cause I wanted more so I've looked for the graphic novel based on the show so far I've only found it on Amazon an unfortunately the graphic novel cost $35 so I was wondering if there is any place else I can buy it

Greg responds...

At this point, I don't know. Sorry. Wish I did.

Hi Greg! I am such a fan of all your work!!
I just wanted to say that I am glad YJ is back with you and Brandon mostly working the helm and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us :)
(you don't have to answer this but do you thing you'll have an episode where the team just watches celebrity hockey?)

Greg responds...

SPOILER ALERT: I'm fairly certain I will not have an episode where all that happens is that the Team watches Celebrity Hockey.

John Semper, script writer of Spider-Man the Animated Series from the 90s, has crowdfunded an audio drama epilogue for the show with much of the original cast. Since he's somehow allowed to do that, I wonder if you've ever thought about tying up some of Spectacular's loose ends through a full-cast audio recording of your own?

Greg responds...

I have no idea if he's ALLOWED to do that. Or if he just did it. You'd have to ask him. Personally, I wouldn't risk the lawsuit. And the spectre of getting permission, even for a non-profit venture, from both Sony and Marvel/Disney is nightmarish to me. In addition, since I have no ownership in the property, I'd want to get paid for my work. And finally, I've had my fill of crowd-funding for a lifetime.

How did you manage to relate to Spider-Man/Peter Parker?

Greg responds...

He's everyman. He's easy to relate to. He has powers AND responsibilities. Doesn't everyone?

Hi Greg. I want your opinion on a few things. Do you believe in a W.I.T.C.H. comeback in the future, maybe as live action TV series, a movie, or why not a season 3? And do you think a better option will be starting over from 0, and not go for a season 3? Maybe with a new original adaptation of the comic for this comeback? Btw I'm a big a fun of your work, and I follow all your tweets on Twitter.

Greg responds...

I really don't know.

Obviously - selfishly - my preference would be for them to re-air or make available the first two seasons and then have me work on a season three. A reboot wouldn't interest me at all.

I'm so HAPPY to hear that there are LGBT characters in Young Justice! I hope this doesn't count as a spoilery question but my question is quite simple really... When you said that, did you mean it? What I MEAN by that is... Are there LGBT Characters... As in plural? As in more than ONE?

And thats my question! As a gay male I'm so glad that you are very open minded and really do care about representation. I hope we get to see some same sex relationships in season 3! I played Young Justice in the background all the time on Netflix because I really was holding on to that sliver of hope that it would be renewed and I'm so glad that it worked!

Greg responds...

We've established that Marie Logan was either a lesbian or bi-sexual. In my mind, yes, there are other LGBTQ characters in the series, as well. But I am NOT promising anything at all about what will be revealed or seen in Season Three.

Greetings, Greg! I suppose that probably expected someone from the old days of Captain Atom fandom to pop up upon the arrival of The Rise and Fall of CA. Really enjoyed the first issue.

Anyway, someone pointed out that Gen. Eiling bears a starling resemblance to Keith David. Would I be correct in guessing this was on purpose? Was it your idea? Or did Will Conrad surprise you and Cary?

Also, the final page, and its use of a newspaper from Kansas City, evoked a scene in the Dark Tower books. That is not on purpose, right?

All the best, Greg! Looking forward to seeing what you did with Nate.

Greg responds...

Simon!!!!

Despite my personal friendship with Keith, it was actually Cary who casually suggested that Will model Eiling on Mr. David. Will did surprise us a little by taking that suggestion and running with it. Keith is tickled by it, by the way.

I'm not familar with the Dark Tower books. So it didn't come from me. But I only co-plotted The Fall and Rise of Captain Atom (not Rise and Fall, btw). Cary wrote it. Still, I'm not sure if that reference is really there, or if it was necessitated by the previously established location of the Continuum.

Now that you implied that season 3 will have LGBT characters and some homophobic intolerant hillbillies are lashing out, are you afraid of losing fans/viewers?

Greg responds...

I haven't implied anything about YJ. In fact, I went out of my way to say I wasn't talking about YJ. But, no, I'm not worried about losing fans. On any series I'm producing or show-running, I have to make the show that my partners and I want to make, that we'd enjoy watching, that we are passionate about. Because if we're not passionate about it, how can we expect any viewer to get passionate about it. So all we can do is make our show and cross our fingers that a quantity of folks like what we're doing. There's no other option.

And, by the way, I'm no more tolerant of you using terms like "hillbillies" to denigrate the homophobic jerks, than I am of them being homophobic. (Unless, you happen to know their names are Billie and they live in hills.) I think it makes it too easy to assume that the people who disagree with you are "other." Unfortunately, that kind of intolerable intolerance exists right among us. It exists among neighbors, friends and family members. Strangers, too, of course. But don't assume an enemy to acceptance exists in places you're not or that none exist in the realms you frequent.

Either none of us are other or all of us are other in our own other ways.

Does Lex Luther not like Dr. Desmond? He sounded snappy at Desmond in Episode 2. It even seems to be the only time Luthor lost his cool. And later he blamed him for Superboy's liberation.

Greg responds...

I think he's unimpressed with Desmond's managerial skills.

Its brought a joy to my heart seeing Young justice get renewed for a 3rd season, the fans really acknowledged this series a lot ! You also took a big part in YJ return. GgvvvvvvvvbbbbbbbYou gave 3 ways we could help The series get renewed for a 3rd series. Netflix also took part in this great return so I was Wondering How can we get spectacular spiderman to return for a 3rd season. There's been multiple petition People have created and multiple I've signed (including the one on change.org). There's also been a hashtag #MakeSpidermanSpectacularagain & people have been influencing others to buy spectacular spiderman on blu ray & I myself have bought it and been doing the same.. I just wanna know if we are taking a step in the right direction & if we are, is marvel and Disney seeing this? I mean they should be seeing all this. It's been going on for years and last thing , how do u feel about this whole spectacular Spiderman thing ?

Greg responds...

I'd love for Spectacular to come back, and stranger things have happened. But if I'm being honest, I don't see a clear path for it. Buying the BluRays definitely helps - or at any rate doesn't hurt. But Marvel has its own animation studio now (owned by Disney) and is understandably NOT inclined to PAY Sony (which controls the rights to Spectacular) to produce a cartoon based on their signature character. I'm sorry. Believe me.
