I'm back. What did I miss? :p

School and work have been kicking my ass, after a while I completely forgot about Gargs. But yea, just dropping by to say hello.

An era is coming to an end ... I just posted the second-to-last in my long-running fanfic saga. "The Second World Tour" follows Goliath and Elisa on a voyage to meet new clans and reunite with old friends, while Brooklyn gets used to being leader.

This has been such an amazing journey! My tally has gotten all out of whack, so I won't be ending exactly at 100 stories (some "count," some I don't think "count"). Still and all, I've really loved doing this.

Oh, BTW, I do plan on having a better organization of that page. Have Gargoyles have their own column or page, etc.

You guys give me too much credit. It only took less than 5 minutes to do some html edits [(mostly search and replace), there's some html coding that assigns numbers to lists] to put numbers on every question. From then on, all I had to do was delete questions that were answered.

That's why I can happily say:

1)There are less than 700 questions in the backlog right now - exactly 698 questions left.
2)110 questions left until the 1st part of Aaron's Gathering 2002 Journal comes up and 113 questions left until Aaron's last Gathering 2002 Journal comes up (which is the very last Gathering 2002 Journal)
3)It's 323 until the 1st Gathering 2003 Journal shows up.
4)375 questions left until the last Gathering 2003 Journal shows up.

And yes, I don't plan on mentioning how far along until the Gathering 2003 journals for quite a long, long time.

Never saw that top 100 list before. Powerpuff girls and GI Joe in the top 10?!! good god! some people have no tast.

Truthfully though, Disney has treated Gargoyles extremely badly promotionally. From promo ads that don't do any justice to the show, to editing it to pieces, not airing episodes. Here in Canada, dispite the show being one of the top 10 shows on our Family Channel-they carried the show for less than 2 years(October 1999-August 2001). Yet other Disney shows like Aladdin, Goof Troop, Ducktails, Chip & Dale etc. have been running off and on up here for 5+ years. Being Family is not strictly a Canadian "disney channel", they don't air specifically Disney shows, but they did tell me when they pulled Gargoyles from the schedule that they don't have complete say on what Disney shows they air. Disney seems to have a say in the matter.

Certainly, Shows like the Simpsons, Warner Bros shorts and the early Superman shorts were/are all groundbreaking. But GI Joe, Powerpuff Girls or Battle of The planets(a show I loved to death as a kid) over Gargoyles and even the Flintstones? I think not.

My 2 cents(not worth much since the Canadian Dollar is dropping in value again)

Toon Zone received the June schedule for ABC Family today. Gargoyles continues on the weekend schedule for another month. The only day it is preempted will be the last Sunday of the month when a Spider-man marathon takes over the entire morning line-up for that day.

I've just finished updating this list (click my name). Can you guys take a look and see if any fan pages you know of are missing (by fan page, I mean a page with actual Gargoyles-related material)? If so, please post a link to them here. Note that I'm not linking to clan sites, message boards or newsgroups in this list. Thanks!

Journal> re: "I'm just suprised the link to the Gathering 2002 Journal still works" - that's Jim R's journal. He dropped by here just last week, so it's not that surprising his page still exists.

I made it a top priority to make sure that journal didn't become a broken link! :-D I knew Greg would come upon it someday, and when I made the transition to PHP, I made 100% certain Greg would still be able to access it. I just wasn't thinking back then, and I should've copied and pasted all the text instead of a link (since links don't actually become "links" after being posted). Well, now that I know Greg's read it, I can delete the redirection page.

Heh, and I was so certain it was him out by the car! You never know, it could've been a rental car. Had to have been his Sevarius clone... ;)

Todd - I'm just suprised the link to the Gathering 2002 Journal still works.

All the Gathering 2002 Reports up to Aaron's have been processed. Aaron's is over 100 questions away. If you counted the total number of questions and divided it by two, that middle question falls in the midst of the Gathering 2003 Reports.

LEXINGTON MUG available ...

I'm cleaning out my garage and found a Lexington mug like this one (http://www.mindspring.com/~dmalderman/gargoyles/gfx/stuff/lexmug.jpg) in as-new condition, albeit not without a box. If you're interested in it, please email me.

Looking at the questions coming up in the queue at "Ask Greg", I noticed that one of them (just 3 questions away) was about Lexington's mate, describing it in terms of "she" and "her". Of course, this question came out in 2002, a year before Greg Weisman made his revelation about Lexington at the 2003 Gathering, but it definitely feels strange reading about Lex's future mate as a female now. I wonder if Greg will comment on the choice of gender-pronouns when he answers that question.

Actually, I think that it's far more likely that the Mayan gargoyles' step-pyramid is fictional, like Castle Wyvern and the Eyrie Building (though modeled after real Mayan pyramids).

DPH > I'm pretty sure that Guatamala really exists.

Stop! Countdown time... uh-oh, uh-oh...

52 days left to submit entries for the Music Video contest (deadline is July 1).
57 days left to reserve your hotel room at the Delta Centre-Ville (deadline is July 6 at noon).
66 days left to pre-register for The Gathering 2004 (deadline is July 15).

And finally...

87 days left until The Gathering 2004 in Montreal, Quebec!

Oh well, I'll guess I will have to wait a while to find out if the location of the Guatamela clan was invented like Queen Florence Island was or really exists. I really wish I could edit one one of my upcoming questions, oh well.

Believe it or not, the upcoming link to the guy's Gathering 2002 Journal . . still works.

Hippolyta or True could also have gone with the Gargoyles who split up from the Wyvern Clan... which according to Greg didn't survive either... just a thought...

****A spiral of flame shoots out from one wall of the Comment Room, and eventually takes the form of Blaise...who remains standing on the wall.**** Why's everyone standing so funny? Ah well, I just have a quick thought....

AARON> RE: Hudson's mate and Hyppolyta (sp?).
Actually, Greg has already said that Hudson's mate died in 971 A.D., I believe (defintely before the earliest flashback, which is set in 975 A.D.). Thus no offspring of theirs in the 988 A.D. clutch (from which sprang the Avalon clan).
Hyppolyta was actually of Goliath's generation, and thus died in the Wyvern Massacre (if not before). According to ASK GREG, Hudson's youngest offspring, the one in Bronx's generation, is currently known as "True." She also would have died in 994 at the latest.
BTW, I hope I don't sound smug or anything (and I apologize if it seems that way), I just wanted to correct some of your information. Hope it helps.

Catch you all later! Until then, farewell. ****Blaise walks along the wall until he comes to a window, through which he promptly jumps and "falls" sideways.****
