Thanks. I know he hatched in another decade, but Katana and I discussed it, and we want the whole clan to be Gnash and Egwardo's Rookery parents…

Here's the problem with most fanfic writers: they seem to think Dominique is a second life. It isn't. Demona spelled it plainly in "High Noon." She's a gargoyle. Dominique is just a tool to help her in her goals. She'll use the form because she changes into a human, whether she likes it or not, but Dominique is not another life for her.

Justin - I actually don't think Goliath would be considered a rookery father, although I think Angela would be considered a rookery mother. I think that he would be the leader/mentor. After all Hudson is a rookery father to all of them but I think he is placed in a special category as their mentor.

Have you seen this yet? Extremely cool.

Maybe some rich fan is going to build their own Castle Wyvern with the help of this xD

Kudos to New Yorkers! New york, from everything I have ever seen or heard, is unlike ANY other city on Earth. That`s why I like it. I want to visit one day...

And I must say, Greg B, That link you posted was pretty neat. And those WERE NOT photoshopped pictures! :D

I did it! I watched all 485 Best picture nominees in 365 days!

New York is the clan's protectorate, so this is sorta on topic.

This is why New Yorkers are the most badass, most awesome, and all around best people in the world.

I hope when Young Justice comes back on they don't put it on Adult Swim like they did with ThunderCats.
Vinnie - [tpeano29@hotmail.com]

Might be a weird question but the room is slow, and I've lurked too long, haha.

I was wondering what everyone thought on this...

I would assume that, on some level, Brooklyn would regard Broadway and Lexington as rookery fathers to Nashville etc. From a cultural perspective of course, but also I'd think emotionally.

But does anyone have any ideas on the subject of Goliath? I know children are the children of the whole clan but does anyone think that moniker would be extended to him as well?

I know biologically, had the Wyvern Massacre not happened, Brooklyn and his generation would have laid their first clutch of eggs in 1008, and that's when Goliath, Demona etc, would have laid their second clutch. etc . So yes I would assume biologically Goliath would have been considered a rookery father.

Perhaps my logic is flawed or I am thinking too much like a human. I just didn't want to bog Greg W. down further in the cue with something I felt I could justifiably discuss in here with you guys.

Thanks in advance.

Comet, thank you so much for the Avalon Archives (wayback) link! I too miss this site. :) It'll be fun to browse it again!

It's just too bad that their links page can't be updated in its archived pages...! Everytime I see an old Clan SteelClaw link going to a geocities address.... well. *shrug* :p It just makes me want to fix it.

I'd like to say my congratulations to my cousin, Megan, who named her twin daughters Brooklyn and Angela, after Gargoyles. I sort of put the idea in her head a while ago, and I guess she and her husband, Mark, liked it. They were born at 12:00 AM and 12:13 AM on Halloween night. Kinda cool!

I'll post a pic of the girls when I can.

This is currently the only version of the Avalon Archives that is still accessable. Most of it works still quite well and the most fascinating part for me is the huge amount of normally deleted fansites that are linked there and, since the webarchive saved them too, still working (more or less)! Although most of them are not very interesting it is still cool to browse them. Found a few pretty cool pictures there and saved them.

I still hope that this page will be up again in the future, with new stuff, like that of the SLG comics.
Why was it even deleted?

@Greg Weisman I've never been to that site so I don't know what it looked like before, but I found this site: http://avmists.gargoyles-fans.org/
It may be the same person running it, but I have no idea.

Well, it's still at the internet archive, at least. I seem to recall that Lynati saved all the pages and was planning on doing something with them, but I can't remember what.

Updating my bookmarks. Does this still exist somewhere new or is it gone: http://avalon.gargoyles-fans.org/ ?

Happy Halloween, everybody!

Todd, I'm pretty sure that was not me. I say "pretty sure" because I've certainly THOUGHT about asking Greg that before. Being that Central City is in the Midwest and the arch looks very similiar to the Gateway Arch, I couldn't help but make the connection. That said, I rarely use my full name (Matthew) and I doubt the writing style is the same (I have not read/seen the post you are refering to) so I'm pretty sure it wasn't me. Still... do you have the link to the question in question? I'd like to look at it.

[B]Todd:/B] Heh heh. And to you as well, Todd!

If any other Weisman fans are thinking of what to do to commemorate the day, I suggest the following marathon:

- "Eye of the Beholder"
- "W is for Witch"
- "The Uncertainty Principle"
- "Secrets"

Perhaps with a re-read of Clan-Building Issues #3-5 worked in there as well, LOL.

To Matt: Are you the Matthew who submitted a question to "Ask Greg" about Central City in "Young Justice" having its own version of the Gateway Arch? I know that you live in St. Louis (as Matthew does), so I thought of you once I read that question.

@Spen: Oops.

I must have confused Xanatos' line about the coin with Margot's line in "Awakening, Part Three" about Brendan having paid "only 40 grand for the car."

So who wants to watch basically the exact same repeat loop as the last time Young Justice was on hiatus, but twice as fast this time? Now you can!

Paul : It probably is worth 40 grand now, but in 1975, it was only worth 20 grand.

Phil> Yeah, it started recently and was even still listed as Gargoyles for a least a few days (shades of Young Justice?). I recorded a few since I'd heard rumors - they're running something called Fish Hooks right now.

Hopefully it will reset shortly as listed on the DisneyXD website (back in its 4 AM time slot starting on November 6th).

I wonder how the clans would handle the flooding in Manhattan. I'm sure the manhattan clan would be safe enough in Xanatos' tower, but the Labrinth clan would surely be at risk of drowning.

Tonight is the Hunter's Moon, and I have a feeling both the Manhattan Clan and John Castaway will be staying in tonight.

Nokkar will take Demona, Zafiro, Guardian, and LXM-105!7! into space to hit the Space-Spawn where they live.

So it's nice that Gargoyles episodes are available online at Disney's video page, but they're not on TV anymore (at least not on Disney XD where they've been for the last several years).

"THREE of them?!" -Robyn Canmore, "Hunter's Moon"

Goliath and Co didn't know about Demona and Macbeth's link in "City Of Stone" obviously, but they certainly did a few months later when they visited Paris. Elisa even diagrammed the whole scheme on paper for us! The only time they could've figured this out was from the Weird Sisters on Avalon.

Their knowledge of the spell wasn't ignored in "The Reckoning". They had doubt that Demona had died BECAUSE of their knowledge of the spell. Without knowing about it, they would've assumed she had died, but because of the spell they had serious doubts.

The spell says that Macbeth and Demona are both immortal AND that they can die under certain circumstances.

As for Demona in 997, I doubt she had ever left Scotland. But like Greg B. said, she clearly had knowledge of the world beyond Scotland and its history. And I find it entirely plausible that while some nearby lands like England or Ireland had (apparently) been cleared of gargoyles, Scotland had enough gargoyles that Demona felt that they could survive and thrive there if the humans were removed as the gargoyles had been in other areas. It wasn't about genocide it was about justice and survival.
