Does anyone think Bart is gay? I think he might be. I've seen a lot of YJ fans out there shipping Blue Beetle and Impulse. Based on the comic issue in which the Scarab says that Wondergirl causes changes to Jaime's biochemical system, I think Jaime is definitely straight, so I don't see "Bluepulse" ever happening. But I could easily see Bart being gay, and if he is, he could have a crush on Jaime or potentially develop one over time.

They're obviously really good friends first and foremost, and even if Bart is gay that doesn't mean he's attracted to Jaime. It bothers me a bit when I see people shipping two guys who are really close friends*, because I don't like the implication that two guys can't be really close without also being attracted to each other.

*I should also mention that I don't really like shipping in general. I'm only bringing up the deluge of "Bluepulse" shippers because it seems relevant.

Of course, the posts here lately haven't been the kind that can generate long-lasting serious conversations. I think we're running low on topics again.

That's me. I'll even suffer a curse if it'll get a laugh.

Block Arlo... He broke the Comment Room.

Glad to see we are back on again.

And I know he was being somewhat serious, but Greg made me laugh with this one: http://www.s8.org/gargoyles/askgreg/search.php?qid=18357

Gargoyles need not apply.

If there's any CR regulars from the Boston area . . . hoping you and you're loved ones are all safe.

I really want to know what would happen if
both Demona and Angela got into a wasabi eating contest.
For every poor soul who groans during an Adam Sandler-funded Rob Schneider vehicle, there is a child crying life-affirming tears when Bambi's mom is shot. Somewhere out there, a film student is finding out what Rosebud means for the first time. A man is pausing as Fredo prays the Hail Mary on a boat over Lake Tahoe. A woman grasps her heart as Bogie's love flies off into the foggy night. All it takes is one moment to change a person. And that one moment... no matter how fleeting... is worth a thousand Transformers."

I don't think there's a real for Elisa and Shari to fight unless there's a good story behind it....

But Dtaina drew an exact image of that, so you're in luck!

Hey guys! Sorry if this is something that's come up before, but if anybody's in the Northeast area or has the ability to travel there in July, both Jim Cummings and Marina Sirtis are gonna be at Connecticon. Jim was there last year and did autographs and had a Q&A panel and was generally awesome. http://connecticon.org/ As of last year it was a nice medium-sized con with a lot going on but not too crowded or commercial. BTW I'm not affiliated with con staff in anyway, just a normal fan/con-goer.

I actually posted here in the comment room pretty regularly for awhile up until life got super-busy. Couldn't tell you what name I used though. But since I don't think either Marina or Jim does a ton of cons I figured it was only polite to spread the word.

Todd: All the more reason to be excited for the books, right? And hey, at least we all know Greg *plans* on bringing The Tempest into the Gargoyles Universe one day (as anyone who's ever read his intro for AskGreg can recall) d:

And speaking of Rain of the Ghosts I now realized I've developed the habit of checking the Latest Responses way-late into the night to see if Greg's also updated the Book Countdown (both books one and two) and tonight, like clockwork, I see that the first pass for Book Two's Chapter Eleven is done, lol.

Was just reading Greg Weisman's latest ramble about "Rain of the Ghosts", when something struck me. In the mini-description of the book, the setting is called the Prospero Keys, and the protagonist has a close friend named Miranda. Also, the Keys are at the edge of the Bermuda Triangle, and many Shakespeare scholars believe that one of the influences on "The Tempest" was a shipwreck in the Bermudas in 1609. (And Rain's late grandfather is named Sebastian; one of the minor characters in "The Tempest" also bore that name, the younger brother to the King of Naples.) Looks like Greg's at it with the Shakespearean elements again (and it makes up for his never getting to bring "The Tempest" into "Gargoyles").

Hufflepuffs are great finders

@Anthony Spammers and harassment that catch my attention trigger the placement of a block. I block the IP address range of the network the activity is coming from because it's usually trivial for the instigator to circumvent a single IP block by obtaining a new IP from the network they're using (reconnect to the ISP, switch computers in a computer lab, etc.)

The block list itself isn't very big; mostly Chinese networks and some open proxies, but there are a few very broad blocks that are probably catching a few legitimate users. If I know a legitimate user is being blocked I'll remove the block and if the spammer or harasser returns on that network I'll try to tighten the range.

It's not the best solution, but it is the simplest for what I'm trying to provide.

Gorebash

@Gorebash - What makes you block a range of IPs?
Anthony Tini

Todd: When I block an IP address range I block only the ability to POST to s8.org. What you describe sounds like you might be connecting with an address stuck in one of those blocked IP ranges. When that happens send me an e-mail with your ip address (you can use http://whatsmyipaddress.org/ for that) and I'll check against what's being blocked and I'll remove the block for that range.

To all my fellow Americans, I would like to be the first to wish you all a happy tax day...and I use the term "happy" very loosely.

Here's hoping Formspring survives the day or the group manages to vacate before it all comes crashing down.
