Supermorff> Thank you very much. The same situation could possibly be said for other divine pantheons as well. It makes me wonder how many of them are even still existent. However, I also have another question not related to the gods:
During part one of "The Gathering" episode of the Gargoyles series, there was a hooded figure and another male figure standing next to the two cyclopes where the Children of Oberon were paying fealty to Oberon himself. I know they were most likely Children of Oberon, but who are they exactly?

Well for what it's worth, we did see a Pegasus, a Centaur, a Cyclops and a Gorgon amid the many BG characters paying their respects to Oberon in The Gathering: Part 1

Mythology Fan> I don't think Greg has confirmed whether any specific Greek gods and goddesses are still alive. What he has said is that not all Greek deities were Children of Oberon, and many were mortals who were ancestors of the New Olympians (and were themselves the offspring of humans and Children).

See, for example, this response, which is one of Greg's oldest on the site: http://www.s8.org/gargoyles/askgreg/search.php?qid=639

According to the guidelines, I am supposed to ask knowledgeable fans my questions before asking Greg. Here goes:
I have always been a fan of mythological figures of all cultures, gods in particular. I noticed that some of the Children of Oberon worshiped as gods in the Gargoyle series are Odin, Leader of the Aesir, Anubis, an Egyptian Death God, and Anansi, a trickster worshiped as a West African God. However, I have not heard of any Greek/Roman Gods being mentioned as Children of Oberon under Oberon's authority or in living condition.
Are the Greek/Roman Gods still alive and well in the Gargoyles series?

That whole play sounds awesome, wish I could've been there.

MASTERDRAMON - Thanks for posting the outline of "Recruits". I haven't watched the Radio Play yet on YouTube (I've been waiting for the script to go up on "Ask Greg"), but the synopsis told me a lot about the story.
I particularly got a kick out of the encounter between Batman, Iron Man, and Xanatos at the end. And the revelation that Thailog's also a new recruit for the Light - and that Vandal Savage is in the Illuminati and recommended Thailog for the Society. And Valmont's severed hand showing up as a new magical object.
Anthony Tini> Huh. Didn't realize the Xanatos Goon Squad outsourced to a galaxy far, far away.

Heh-heh-heh.

Great work everyone, I'll be sure to read them all soon as I can.

Episode Summary:

My take on the Mutates origin story. The end of Season Two draws near as Shredder, with the help of Dr. Sevarius & Fish Face, hatches a diabolical plan while Krang lays the ground work for the invasion of Earth by the Rock Warriors!

enjoy
