Greg Bishansky - [Sorrows to the Stones]

BISHANSKY - Good point. I can't recall any indication in the episodes that featured Nightstone (such as "The Reckoning" and "Hunter's Moon") that the clan and Elisa knew about Nightstone's links to Demona and Thailog. Robyn Canmore figured out that Demona and Dominique Destine were the same person and shared that information with her brothers, but there's no indication that they passed that on to Elisa and the clan (Jon certainly wouldn't).

Hufflepuffs are really good finders

ED> Thanks for the review.

At this point, Elisa and the gargoyles don't know who the owners of Nightstone Unlimited are. A lot of other fics I've seen take that knowledge for granted, but I haven't seen any sign in the canon that they are aware. But just my opinion, what do you guys think?

Greg Bishansky - [Sorrows to the Stones]

Spoilers for Greg's new fic...
Took me a while to get time to read this one. It was worth the wait.

Fantastic concept - reimagining the PIT crew as a terrorist group with a bizarre fixation on the gargoyles as apex predators (I think Thailog quietly rather liked the description). I love anything that needles moral greyness and this had lots of it -- the gargoyles defending their enemies, let alone the Talon/Goliath stuff. Nothing's easy. Nor should it be (dramatically).

Of course, Demona does something horrific and violent and yet we almost, almost feel like rooting for her... clearly a Greg B fic!

Surprised Elisa's drinking Nightstone coffee given the owners. Mind you, Starbucks is probably owned by the Space Spawn.

"Your requests are never light on drama" - top Sevarius line. "Human girl crazy" is another great one. I like that there's an extension of the Chung family and more on Tamora's return.

I like Ishtar's naming too although I'm not as familiar with the mythical background of this one as I should be. But anything that gets me reading and researching mythology is a winner for me.
Crew Blind Wave reacts to part two of Young Justice pilot:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKZEzFGHIO0
I'VE been watching some of these reaction videos while waithing for news for season 3. It's kind of fun seeing people slowly turn into fans, especially people whose only exposure to DC shows has been the CW-verse.

SEASON 3! WOO WOO!

Anonymous> I should think that it would be for a whole audience. Like it has been. Young Justice isn't just supposed to be written for kids, but for everyone. And the show was never on a kid level to begin with.
Green Lantern's Nightlight

Will YJ still be a show for children? or will be for a more mature audience?

So, I was looking at the cost for the trade paperbacks. Wow, I am glad I bought 2 copies of CB2 and BG. I still need to get a TPB for CB1, but they are a much more reasonable price.

Maybe I should try to sell the other copies of CB2 and BG (or maybe not, as I read them and have taken care not to read the ones Greg signed for me a couple of years ago).

Brainiac> I don't really pay attention to the preview button. Thanks.
Green Lantern's Nightlight

Green Lantern's Nightlight> It's the same principle as the explanation of the spoiler tags shown on the Make Comment page. You had the right idea, you just used the wrong brackets.

The Preview option is always helpful as well for making sure your usage of unique formatting or uncommon characters works properly.

There is balance in all things. Live in symmetry with the world around you. If you must blow things up and steal from those around you, THAT'S WHAT RPGS ARE FOR!

There needs to be a guide to how to make words into italics, etc. because obviously I failed. It'd be nice to know how to do these things.
Green Lantern's Nightlight

Adam Carlson> One word: Disney.

Netflix could air <i>Wuzzles</i>, doesn't mean they're going to start doing new episodes. Disney probably think anything in the realm of comics, is good enough.

Green Lantern's Nightlight

Brainiac - Kind of disappointing, but anything that brings interest to Gargoyles is good.

I still think we should petition Netflix to add Gargoyles. It worked for Young Justice, getting them season 3, why not for Gargoyles.

Adam Carlson - [carl006_1999 at yahoo dot com]

Adam Carlson> Neither; it's a still-frame adaptation of the five episodes of Awakening.

Brainiac - Thanks. What do you know about this? Is it new material or the comics combined as one volume.
Adam Carlson - [carl006_1999 at yahoo dot com]

Adam Carlson> It's real, just continuously delayed.

Hi everyone. Been a long time. Anyway, I found this on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/Disney-Gargoyles-Cinestory-Comic-1/dp/1772750794/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1484244898&sr=8-2&keywords=Disney%27s+Gargoyles

It looks kinda fake to me, but I am not sure. Haven't read an updates about anything new for Gargoyles, so what do you think?

Adam Carlson - [carl006_1999 at yahoo dot com]

Masterdramon> Interesting. I had no idea Greg could do that. I thought he left that up to other moderators to do, because he can't legally see stuff before it's previewed by the moderators.
Green Lantern's Nightlight

Greg Bishansky is not a moderator for the Ask Greg queue.

Only Greg Weisman, Todd Jensen, and myself currently have those privileges.

Ko Whiro te atua o te kino o te ao.

Masterdramon> Greg B. can delete, right? Not the other Greg. I think when there's two people with the same first name, we can a bit more specific, otherwise it can get confused.
Green Lantern's Nightlight

For the record, I would not advise submitting that question through Ask Greg. It is a clear-cut Spoiler Request, violating Guideline #1, meaning that I will delete it.

Greg has no interest in spoiling any aspect of future storylines for any of his works, especially with Season 3 of YJ currently in production. He will point-blank refuse to answer any question about whether such-and-such character or plot point will be in Season 3, so it's pointless to ask.

Sometimes whether something counts as a spoiler request is a little iffy, and if there's wiggle room I'll always err on the side of caution and send it along. Which is how you'll sometimes still see Greg answering "No Spoilers" to a question he doesn't wish to answer.

But he has made it crystal-clear which sorts of questions definitely do violate that guideline, and I'm afraid that "Will the Question show up in Season 3?" is about as textbook an example as I could come up with.

As Matthew said, please read the guidelines in full prior to submitting a question. If it is in violation of one or more, it is at risk for deletion - by Greg, Todd, or myself.

Welcome to the Comment Room Joe Van! Unfortunately Greg doesn't really answer questions here nor does he usually frequent here (hopefully he's working on something else). If you would like to submit a question you can do so here: http://www.s8.org/gargoyles/askgreg/ask.php

Just remember to follow the set guidelines helpfully displayed and hopefully he'll get back to you as soon as possible. Be mindful though that there are plenty of questions ahead of you so it may take some time, as well as the possibility of a No Spoilers response.

SEASON 3! WOO WOO!

Dear mister weisman is there any chance of Victor sage/the question appearing in young justice season 3 i ask because the question has always been one of my all time favorite characters ever since I watched justice unlimited when I was a kid and if were to appear is there any chance that he'd be voiced by the same actor Jeffrey Combs who has been of my favorite actors since I watched Re-Animator when I was twelve

Brainiac> I think too much a while ago that Thialog of Young Justice Wiki didn't like my inquires and wondering (just like nobody likes me to dare ever ask a question about anything here) when/what was going to happen in terms of where it was going to air and what not. After that I got sick of being involved with the fandom. But I was kind of getting sick of the fandom anyway, with people saying "I want to see this...", "I want to see that..." It just soured my interest. Now I'm staying out of what people have to say. I don't even go on the discussion threads. I find it incredibly pointless, and I felt that way after season 2 ended. I'm even put off following a podcast about it on Twitter because of what I've had to put up with on the wiki.

So, I'm just going to wait to see what happens. See if there's another time skip that I'll have to get used to (being against time skips was a big no no on the wiki), new characters, etc.

Green Lantern's Nightlight

8th. And thankee, I also appreciate the plug.

If you've ever taken a road trip through the Pacific northwest, you've probably seen a bumper sticker for a place called Gravity Falls. It's not on any maps, and most people have never heard of it. Some people think it's a myth. But if you're curious, don't wait. Find it. It's out there somewhere in the woods. Waiting.

All Lucky Sevens!

Anyone having trouble waiting patiently for YJS3 yet?

Thanks for the comments, I'm currently at work on a third one. Having a good time so far.

SEASON 3! WOO WOO!

Fifth.

Why would Elisa not want to be a human?

Green Lantern's Nightlight

Algernon

All of the above. ;)
And Demona might have also thought that it made better sense to go after the person with freedom of movement first. But I still like the idea that the notion of a human deliberately becoming a gargoyle outraged her even more than her long feud with Elisa.
Todd Jensen
Hufflepuffs are really good finders

Todd > Maybe she enjoyed the idea of having Elisa as a captive audience. Or maybe she was so livid that Elisa was forgotten. But she did converse with her a little bit during the act, so probably not.

I lean towards the captive audience, but people can read it as they wish.

Greg Bishansky

Second.

What struck me most about Bishansky's new fanfic
is that Demona is so outraged about a human voluntarily being mutated into a gargoyle that she gives it precdence over her intense hatred for Elisa, going after Ishtar first. In her eyes, even that feud with Elisa can't compare to the notion of a human seizing "the gift of being a gargoyle".

A few years ago, there was a comic book mini-series called "Scourge", in which Manhattan was hit by a weird plague that turned those infected by it into gargoyle-like creatures (though behaving more like conventional monstrous gargoyles, gargoyles the way Castaway's propaganda would depict them). (I haven't read it, but I saw a few preview pages on the Internet.) I wondered what Demona would have thought of that (assuming that she'd have bothered to even glance at a comic book); on the one hand, again indignation at the humans getting "promoted" (even though, as I mentioned above, it would be a different kind of gargoyle) - but it's still something cataclysmic happening to the humans, which would amuse her - even if she wasn't the one who caused it.
