A year ago I rediscovered the Gargoyles, by accident. I'm from germany and the last time I saw Gargoyles was back in 1998, so I was like "WTH?" when I switched through all those stupid TV channels here in germany and all of a sudden I stumbled over Gargoyles. I was about 8 years old, the last time I did see the show (and never actually understood the storyline), Gargoyles was just sooo cool back then. I love watching those Disney Afternoon tv series (Darkwing Duck, Talespin and stuff), but completely forgot about the Gargoyles. Thanks to the internet I found out, that they re-air Gargoyles in germany: Every sunday two episodes, since 2008! And they still air it and don't seem to take Gargoyles off-air for another year. I think you must be very proud of Gargoyles. Anyways after I discovered Gargoyles again I watched the complete show and what can I say? It's a true masterpiece but the last 12 episodes were strange. The Gargoyle Chronicles are aired with the intro of the second season here in germany, but I'm aware of them now. :D This time around I finally understood the timeline and everything. Brilliant! I couldn't resist and ordered the three TPB of Gargoyles/Bad Guys. Again: Brilliant, but just too short. I imported both DVDs and received them a week ago. Thank's god there are region free dvd players around! I like watching some movies in the original language and that's what I'm trying to do with Gargoyles, even though the german dub is fantastic, too.
I follow this "ask Greg" section since a few months and was reading a lot about Young Justice then. I thought I'd give it a try and thanks to the internet (forgive me) I was being able to see the pilot of Young Justice. What can I say: Another great show! Problem is here in germany we barely know of any of these superheroes, because all these comics aren't being sold here. I know Batman, Robin, Superman, Spiderman and that's pretty much it. So I was like "hell, I don't know anything" when all those superheroes appeared at the end of the pilot. And then my question is:
Do you know when and if Young Justice is coming to other countries? Germany to be precise?
I asked the german Cartoon Network channel, but they say they don't have plans to air Young Justice right now, but that may change in the future...
Just wanted to ask if you know a bit more.

While I've seen a very positive reaction to the show online, I've seen several bloggers take issue with the way Miss Martian has been portrayed so far.

Not trying to stir the pot, but do you have anything to say to those who feel she is too much of a stereotypical "girlie girl" or that she was belittled by the boys and hit on by Wally?

I've seen episode 3 of Young Justice, "Welcome to Happy Harbor." Is the resolution Miss Martian applied to the bad guy really OK? She checked first that the target failed her scan, but there could be other reasons a failure could happen. Heck, her supervisor for the episode, Red Tornado, would have failed the scan. Did she even consider those possibilities? Note that the lead hidden bad guy's first statement to his assistant highlighted the extreme punishment. (I hope I'm not too vague from trying to minimize spoilers.)

It’s here, it’s finally here! The first all new Young Justice episode in almost two months! So how does it hold up? Pretty good, I’d say. Admittedly this episode doesn’t have quite the same level of intrigue and jaw dropping moments as Independence Day or Fireworks but that’s okay. This story is more about getting to know the kids a bit and giving the character stuff more room to breath. And the character stuff is very well done here. We get to see the original four from the pilot interacting with each other, as well as the two newest additions to the main cast.

I particularly enjoyed Red Tornado, Jeff Bennet gives the character a very deadpan delivery that ironically brings Tornado to life. And thanks to the episode’s tag, it looks like we’re going to be learning a lot more about this guy in the future.

Of course it’s M’gann who’s the real star of this story. She starts out very insecure and unsure of her place on this team, if not this planet. But by the end of the episode she seems be a lot more confident though I’m guessing she still has a way to go.

Not that our retuning characters don’t get plenty of nice moments. Kaldur is once again the voice of reason, Superboy shows about all the social graces of somebody who grew up in a tube and Wally is… well Wally. And I loved watching Robin heckling Wally’s pitiful attempts at flirting.

On the antagonist side of things, Mr. Twister is an okay villain but something about him didn’t entirely click for me. I couldn’t even tell that was supposed to be John Delancie doing the voice. Still, considering he turned out to be merely a henchmen for the real villain, maybe that’s the point. Given his interest in Red Tornado as well as being able to duplicate Red’s powers with the Mr. Twister armour, I’ve a pretty good idea who this “Professor” character really is.

All and all, it was a welcome re-introduction to this universe and I can’t wait to see the team’s first official mission next week.

After zooming in on a screen shot from "Welcome to Happy Harbor," I noticed that some of Red Tornado's back story from the comics was on the lower left screen when Aqualad announces that Red Tornado is on his way to The Cave (The Elemental Wars and his time with the Leymen).

1a) Was this information scripted to be used or was it something cleverly injected by someone else?

1b) According to the Earth-16 timeline, when does the Elemental Wars and Leymen membership take place (i.e. 7 years ago)?

So . . . earlier this week (1/19/2011) I picked up and read Young Justice #0. (sigh) I'm still waiting to hear the release dates for Mecha-Nation #2 or #3, so I was happy to pick a comic written by (well you, lol) Greg Weisman & (Spec Spidey's) Kevin Hopps :) Anyways, without further delay,

*** Young Justice #0 SPOILERS BELOW!***

My continuing caveat with these Young Justice reviews is that I barely know a lick of DC lore. Frankly, it was Spectacular Spider-Man that most effectively introduced me to the Marvel Universe, despite me watching/reading other Marvel properties years earlier.

So if there's any inside jokes/easter eggs/homages here, I'm not likely to notice them.

Nevertheless, from the moment I read the first page, I was immediately pulled into the story. Maybe it was because I saw the two-part premiere, but even if that's the case, I don't think accessibility will be an issue for this DC newbie.

Anyways, this comic takes place between the last two scenes of "Independence Day" Part II . . . July 5th to July 8th. It really is perfect timing this issue came out this week, just days after Part II re-aired, and a couple of days before the new episode goes on the air.

The first couple and last few pages transition between television-to-comic and comic-to-television with such ease, I'm kinda wondering if both were written at the same time. ;)

Anyways, onto the story . . . this one mostly focuses on Kid Flash and him taking in the stray . . . you know, Superboy.

I am definitely reminded of the awkward moments Superman realized he has a clone, and that abandonment feeling lurks everywhere Supey goes, starting at Kid Flas-, er, Wally's home in Central City.

After a day of vegging in front of television (I'm gonna guess that Wally was giving Superboy a crash-course on pop culture), Kid Flash gets a letter from Batman (without crushing Superman's hope that it might have been Superman looking out for him) with a cash card dedicated to Superboy's "expenses." They make their way to the mall and 'Forever Sixteen' to get Superboy something to wear that isn't a solar suit . . . I smiled when Superboy only bought black shirts, justifying the classic cartoon trope of wearing the same thing every episode.

Unlike Aqualad or Robin (who are either patrolling in the ocean or stuck at the Wayne Mansion), it doesn't take long for Kid Flash and Superboy to find trouble, aka the Terror Twins, Tommy & Tuppence Terror. They seem the particularly physical sort for simply robbing a jewelery store, but it doesn't take long for Kid Flash and Superboy to get them away from their appointed hostages and well, the mall.

But before things really heat up, the Terror Twins get timid and make tracks (tee hee) . . . and not to Kid Flash and Supey's credit. We're treated to the Flash and Superman, who treat the duo with news that Batman has made his decision as well as another moment of silence (though not as awkward) from Superman.

Todd Jensen revealed to me that the names Tommy & Tuppence were also used for a husband & wife detective duo in a few Agatha Christie novels. As previously mentioned, I wouldn't know the level of coincidence/homage in this factoid, but I find it interesting enough to worth sharing :)

All in all, a fun issue, and I gotta say, I'm liking the friendship that's developing between Kid Flash and Superboy, which was short of getting hostile when the two originally met in the two-parter -- now, Kid Flash is giving Superboy a 'bro' punch on the shoulder . . . and immediately regretting it. d:

Can't wait for the -- (check issue number) -- um, first issue (as well as you and Kevin's return as writers later in the series)!

It's times like this I am grateful to J. Michael Straczynski's "Babylon 5" for conditioning me to be patient with new TV shows. Like the early episodes of "Babylon 5," while this episode was quite enjoyable, it didn't suck me in and hook me. There just seemed to be a disconnect for me and what was happening on screen.

Mr. Twister didn't excite me as an antagonist. His design was great, and the effects of his powers were great, but there was just something there that didn't grab me the way, let's say Electro did in the first non-pilot episode of "Spectacular Spider-Man." But, maybe it's because I've never been a DC reader, and I never heard of Mr. Twister before this episode aired.

The character interaction was perfectly enjoyable, though. Kid Flash has great chemistry with just about everybody, and his line about finding himself hot had be rolling. Superboy continues to be a fascinating character, especially in his search for identity and purpose.

But, the meat here is the newest team member, Miss Martian. At first glance, she appears to be an unfortunate hold out to the early Silver Age of comics where most of the female characters were just girlfriends and damsels in distress, such as Marvel Girl and Invisible Girl back when Stan Lee was writing the books. But, by the end of the episode, she takes charge and proves that she is quite formidable and deserves to stand shoulder to shoulder with anyone else on this team. I had a feeling her whole "baking cookies" moment was designed to get us to underestimate her.

And her gambit where she posed as Red Tornado was brilliant. I'll admit, I was fooled.

Not bad. I liked it. I liked the pilot much better, but I appreciate a slow build... especially when I know the payoff is going to be excellent. And trust me, comparing this to "Babylon 5" is about as high a compliment as I can give.

Looking forward to next week's. I'll definitely keep watching.

Hi, this is more comment then question. First of all the quality of the animation and the character designs for Young Justice is truly wonderful. 10 out of 10...well maybe poor WW's tiara could do with some shrinking. Her forehead is hiding behind that huge thing. :p

I am just hoping that this verse will keep the essence of the DCU but not go down the same road that TAS and Jl/JLU went down. I see you have assured us that you are trying to keep this Earth unique and fresh. I hope so.

Please do better also in how you write your females. The Timmverse women can never touch your Gargoyles females in my opinion and, no, you don't have to comment on that. :) Your ladies were actually complex and have personalities. I couldn't even bear the way Wonder Woman was written in JL/JLU and she is my idol. I must admit I was not happy by the way way the ladies were portrayed in the first episode of YJ. But I have faith that you will do right by them.

So thanks again for making me excited to tune in and watch some decent animation.

I must say.... I love the pilot episode and even the trailer for episode 3. Waiting for Friday is what's helping me through my final's week haha. Young Justice has the important foundation crucial to a fantastic show. Intriguing characters, an interesting and expansive concept, and, of course, awesome characters. I really like how you set up small plot points in addition to the large ones (such as the Light). In particular, I find Superboy and his reconditioning to life outside a lab to make for very entertaining dialogue. He has to learn simple concepts like junk food and crushes, no doubt with the jokesters Robin and KF providing incorrect info to jerk him around. But it made me think, do the heros have friends outside other superheros/ superheros in training, or will a majority of their social lives be spent with only those groups? Also, will there actually be romantic relationships featured (in both the Justice League and Young Justice), or will it more likely be 'will they or won't they' type romances and crushes? Thanks, I think you are doing a fab job on the material so far and I'm super excited to see the rest!

I watched the first episode of Young Justice and, I must say I absolutely loved it! It, to me, is just as well written and thought provoking as Gargoyles ever was and look forward to subsequent episodes from you here. It has actually renewed my taste for the DC mythos... Side bar, when Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash are in the elevator with Superboy... I had recently watched Awakenings again. And when Robin opened the door I smirked thought "I wonder if commandos will be on the other end, with Robin sheepishly saying 'Heh, sorry, wrong floor?' "

I have a couple questions about Young Justice.

1. Is Aqualad and Artemis going to become close since they both have baggage? Such as Aqualads father being a villian and Artemis having a dangerous past.

2. I've read online an interview with one of your voice actors for the show, Jesse McCartney stated two things. The first was that the relationship between Kid-Flash, Miss M, and Superboy is going to become a love triangle and the second thing he stated was that early on in the season Aqualad would tell Robin this leadership job is something you were born to do not me and that he needs to take things more serious. He also mentions that this becomes a huge discusssion between Aqualad, Robin and Batman. So my question is whether any of this stuff is true or not?

3. Would telling the age of Zatara be a spoiler? If so then you dont have to worry about it. But if not I really curious whether this is golden age Zatara, he seemed like he was in his late 40's.

4. Is their going to be any episodes that will focus on each member of Young Jusice? Such as a story about Aqualad, Artemis, or Miss M.

5. How do you think Superman felt that night discovering he had a younger clone of himself? Of course he was mad as well as in shock, But he didn't react the way I expected he would towards him, he looked at him angry and basically pond off on the rest of the Leagures, then he flew away.

6. I understand that Artemis profile showed she was a master archer, but how good is she compared to Speedy? Would you say their equal, or one's better than the other.

7. How long would you say each member of Young Justice have been superheroes? other than Robin whos been doing it for 4 years.

Hope you're reading this. I really love your work on Spider-man and Gargoyles. As for my question: Considering you have the whole DCUniverse at your disposal, any chance Ragman will show up in Young Justice? It would be cool to have a Jewish superhero showing up in an animated superhero show. Sure, Ben Grimm and Doc Samson are Jewish and have appeared in animated from, but they've never said they were Jewish. Ragman's origin is tied into the legend of the Golem, so any young Jew watching it would have a Jewish hero to look up to. And he operates in Gotham, so it wouldn't be out of place to have Bats or Robin run into him. I'm asking you because you did have The Golem appear in Gargoyles, so maybe you'd want to put Ragman in Young Justice. Just askin'.

hey Greg,
this may seem like a strange question, but I was wondering about the character designs, more specifically in their civvies. At the end of "Independence Day Part 2" before Miss M comes, you see the four guys. With the exception of Superboy, they're all wearing long sleves, Aqualad shown in a sweater and Robin in a sweatshirt AND a coat. While the designs look good, it seems a bit excessive to be wearing so many layers in the middle of the summer. Was this just a decision made by the character designers and animators? Or is the Secret Sanctuary/Happy Harbor just in a colder location?

I strongly support Young Justice and am eagerly awaiting more. I just have a small question which I hope is not too imposing and I don't mind if you are unable to answer. The cast you have chosen are beautiful and seem to be very promising simply from the first two episodes, I just have one question that is important to me and as a very big fan of alot of female super heroines with Black Canary actually being my third most loved(just as a sidenote) I would just like to ask if the main cast of characters will include a couple more girls as prominent regulars, as you have stated before that the main cast will expand, because honestly I love Miss Martian and Artemis and would love to see a few more prominent girls on the team. This is by no means a dig at any of the boys and nothing to do with inequality or what not I just simply have an affinity to the ladies of DC.

But I do have a question. Now I know you're not going to answer any "is so-and-so appearing in the show?" questions, but its just a hypothetical question. I noticed that Zatara was part of the league, and being a Zatana fanboy I was curious, since her dad is in the league and this is about their "kids," I was confused as to how old she might be in this universe, since she's usually one of Batman's fangirls. So, hypothetically speaking if Zatana were to appear in the show would she be her typical adult age or more around Robin, Kid Flash,or Aqualad's ages?

In response to the poster who talked about the gender imbalance (which I also noticed), you talked about the 4 traditional side kicks.

1) Even though Wonder Girl (Donna) and Wonder Girl (Cassie) showed up shortly after the formation of the Teen Titans and Young Justice respectivly, and Donna was essentially a creation for Teen Titans because the writers failed to realize that the previous Wonder Girl apperances were just a de-aged Diana, wouldn't you consider either of them as important core members of the team?

2) Don't you think we've progressed as a society somewhat in terms of gender equality since the golden age of comics, and should that not be reflected in updated revisions?

3) Any chance of Cassie or Donna as Wonder Girl showing up in future seasons (or even this season) of Young Justice?

Hi Greg, I want to start off by saying I am a long time fan of your work, I enjoyed Gargoyoles (both the comic and the TV show) emmensly, and I love your other work as well. I am working at becoming a published writer as well as getting into the comic industry and you are one of those I'd list among inspirations. So please understand that the following critcisms are not a personal attack.

Someone pointed me to this site after I had started discussion about the lack of female presence in Young Justice's pilot, and I did see your earlier response about not being able to work in the female Leagures for speaking roles, and your reasons for holding Ms Martian back to the end of the episode.

You cite that Donna wasn't a member of the Titans until their second outing (or even a real proper character because originally Wondergirl was just a young Wonder Woman who ended up fighting alongside herself), and of course Cassie wasn't introduced to Young Justice till issue 4, but would it have been impossible to work Cassie or Donna into the series as a sidekick for Wonder Woman so there was some female presence. I'm not quite sure why there isn't going to be a Wonder Girl sidekick on the team since that's always been a staple of the young hero group? I thought Artemis was going to take that role, until I was told that Artemis in Young Justice isn't the Amazon.

Ms. Martian being the immediate target for flirtation was rather irksome; I hope that she shuts the boys down a bit ala Angela in Gargoyles.

I know you an write women really well, that's why this was a tad disapointing... but I enjoyed it over all, and hope to see more of the girls on the team.

But please consider adding a Wonder Girl to the team in a future season if she doesn't show up in this one.

I apologize if this is a multiple. My computer is acting a little hicky... The new YJ cartoon aims for older kids, while the upcoming comic book is under the all ages Johnny DC line. Finding stories all ages appropriate is probably not hard, I doubt every episode on tv would be incompatible for the all ages crowd, but it is it somehow odd or difficult to write for an audience that is not necessarily the target of the main product?

Mr. Weisman, during a Comic-Con interview you identified Batman as being the leader of the Justice League, and the rest of the League clearly deferred to him in the Young Justice pilot. So I started to wonder about leadership in the League:
1. Has Batman been officially designated the leader in some way, or does he lead by more of an informal consensus?
2. Is Batman the only leader the Justice League has ever had?
3. How does Batman feel about leadership? Did he want to be the leader, or did it take him some time to accept that he was the best candidate?
4. How does the rest of the League feel about Batman's leadership? Obviously, it will vary from person to person, but is there anyone on the League who is dissatisfied with the arrangement?
5. Aside from the leader, are the rest of the League theoretically equals (I say theoretically because obviously some have seniority or greater expertise in some matters than others).
6. Was it difficult for you and Brandon Vietti and who ever else had input to narrow down the League's membership? You probably weren't looking for a JLU set-up with dozens and dozens of heroes, and part of being a long-time comic book fan is developing a fondess for B-,C-, and D-list characters that sadly go underutilized. I know if I were called upon to do so, I would have a hard time not including all kinds of wonderful, obscure characters. Was it hard for you?

By the way, good on you addressing the gender "controversy." I sensed no fanboyisms in the pilot. I'm personally always assailed and bemused when someone, regardless of sex, ethnicity, orientation, etc. complains of "inequality." The true sexists and/or racists are the ones who always troll for "problems" like this and complain as such. Genuine equality requires no quotas in my mind. Anyway...

My next question is related to Roy Harper, formerly Speedy.
Despite his cantankerous fiery attitude toward Green Arrow about his rejection from inclusion in the Justice League and a real tour in the Watchtower, he seems like he would be the eldest of the sidekicks. Can you disclose any information about his age in relation to the other sidekicks?

Well, I'm solidly impressed. A friend just managed to drag me into watching "Independence Day"; if he had mentioned who was behind it, I would have acquiesced alot faster.

Others have already brought up most of the excellently done pieces, such as the group dynamic, the strong characterization, and so forth. In particular, having read the response to the "why no female sidekicks in the initial ep?" and having fond memories of Gargoyles' and Spectacular Spiderman's female characters, I am looking forward to seeing the heroines of Young Justice teach the boys a few things.

However, there is one point that I was particularly impressed by, although I shall have to be a bit delicate in this. At the end: Superman's reaction to Superboy. It was a superbly well executed sequence that managed to communicate Superman's shock and horror at having been cloned without consent--a violation of the highest order--and his struggle to not associate the boy in front of him with that violation. I'll admit, my reaction to his reaction was "Okay, first, we get you to a bar. Then, a psychiatrist." Superbly well done, and I'm curious to see where that dynamic goes. Superman has already more or less dumped the responsibility for his clone onto others, which, while understandable, doesn't bode well for their future relationship. But, still, the scene was superbly executed, and I'm looking forward to where it's going from here.

And on a final note, a question: Level 42? Seriously? Where they find Life, a whole 'nother Universe, and just about Everything on the computer? That was cute, but now I'm racking my brains on what reference/significance 57 has!

Thanks for going the extra mile with this, and I'm looking forward to more.

1.I notice you have the street level characters like Batman and Black Canary taking charge of the youngsters, with fighting and so on. So what role do the metas play in their mentoring?

2.Will we see more of the Superboy and Aqualad friendship? They seem to have a bond already. It would be more refreshing to see than the same old same super/bat thing...ie Superboy/Robin.

3.I did not really like the Miss Martian intro. She seems a little too sugary and one dimensional batting her eyes off the mark at Superboy. What challenge does she really present to Kon? Big fan of the idea to ground the show in realism. After watching your previous work I've always left your show's feeling that I've gotten much more than your typical cartoon experience. I was pleased to have similar feelings after watching young justice.

In spirit of the covert and behind the scene missions that batman will assign the young league, and given the show has the appropriate rating, will we be seeing REAL guns and bullets, and not your typical random super villain technology laser gun every other episode?

I love the covert angle and being that the young league is going to be in the shade for now, we'd love to see some realistic shady characters and some shady gat's...

When the Young Justice team is led by the Justice League members into the decoy base, lounge is show to be in full view of reporters (who are behind a glass window. Hi Greg - loved Young Justice! I was curious about Cadmus, though. Are there only saw three humans actually working in the sub-levels? (Guardian, Mark Desmond and the female scientist) Or were there more that we just didn't see?

It seems like there should have been more, since there was a large men's washroom, with a number of stalls in it... I'm assuming they wouldn;t have built that just for Desomnd and the Guardian. If there are more people working there, why didn't they respond to all the craziness going on?

Do you feel like DC's Fifth Dimension characters (such as Mr. Mxyzptlk, Bat-Mite, Qwsp, Jakeem Thunder's Thunderbolt, etc.) would be tonally appropriate for Young Justice? I'm not asking if you have any plans to use them, just whether you think those characters would be able to fit in with your show's relatively serious take on the DCU.

Along the same lines, how do you feel about red kryptonite (the variety that causes random changes in Kryptonians for a roughly 24 hour period)? Would it be too silly for a show like this?

Back in 2005, during the run of Justice League Unlimited, DC Comics imposed an embargo on the creative team of the show â€" the most infamous of which being the Bat-Embargo â€" that disallowed the use of most prominent Batman-related characters. And later Aquaman's. Is there any possibility of that happening to Young Justice? If so, do you have any contingency plan for that? Or does Young Justice have precedence over other DC shows in regards of the use of its characters?

Being original is never too easy: as amateur writer myself, and as misunderstood loner, i spend often much of my time crafting my own stories and developing characters of my own, and as certain perfektionist, it is long process.

Of course, i dont think it is a bad thing to be influenced by others and perhaps occasionally paying certain hidden tributes to them, but as any at least somewhat intelligent knows, too much borrowing is bad thing too: it only makes final product to look and feel predictable, facile and empty.

Many writers these days seems to be struggling between two choices:
When maing something original, how to make it to feel on its own and as much unpredictable and enjoyable as possible...
Or, whenever taking upon him/herself to craft from something that,s already been done in some form at least, to make sure not to repeat too much on the past, but still maintaining certain loyalty to its history.

Although i can certainly see many influences which must,ve been crafting on makers minds when gargoyles was crafted, it still manages to maintain it,s own fresh sense and certainly stand on its own. You and your fellows managed to make intresting world which was filled with intresting characters, deep themes and surprising plot-twists, something what is only very rarely seen in tv these days.

Then, you were showrunner on Spectacular Spiderman and have done work in The Batman for example. In The Gargoyles, you were given freedom to make your own characters, places and objects to use, and to use them in almost anyway possible, as long as it would seem to fit in. But whenever working on Spiderman, some things that fans of the franchise had grown to love in the past had to be maintained: Peter Parker/Spider-Man has to be portrayed as outcast whom fights against both city,s evildoers as well his own problems in his personal adolescence, or in Batman,s case, Btsie has to be this dark and tormented warrior of justice, Alfred loyal(and cynically sharp) butler, and Joker to be sick psychopath. And yet, repeating too much on the past, and you get scratched.

Having worked on something original and taking upon something you had been fond of in the past, which one do you consider to be easier/pleasent to do and how often, as a writer, you struggle between all these choices?

Hello, Mr. Weisman. Congratulations on Independence Day, it was all I had hoped for and more. I have a few questions about Earth-16 that I hoped you would be willing to answer.
1. As of Independence Day, roughly how long has the Justice League been operating?
2. If I were to assume that the seven (bronze?) statues at the Hall of Justice were the seven founding members of the Justice League, would I be in error?
3. A)Do the League members' numerical designators represent their order of induction (except for the founders, obviously)? If so, do they also represent the order in which these characters debuted as superheroes?
B)Numbers 02, 04, 06, 07, 08, and 16 were shown in the pilot. Superman is undoubtedly 01. Wonder Woman and Hal Jordan are likely 03 and 05, respectively. That leaves 09-15, for the Hawkfolk, the two Captains, the two Johns (Zatara and Stewart), and Black Canary. In all likelihood, the Thanagarians joined jointly, thus their numerical designators are probably sequential. Could you reveal any of these yet, or will we just have to wait and see?
4. I've always been curious about the DC Martian life cycle, which has, to the best of my knowlede, never really been set before. Then I read your answer to an earlier question where you said that there's a rough 3:1 ratio for Human to Martian years (biologically speaking). Was this something that you and the creative team for Young Justice developed, or was it previously established somewhere?
5. I realize I'm probably asking too much, but does Project Atom exist on Earth-16?
6. Is Mount Justice/the Secret Sanctuary located in Happy Harbor, Rhode Island on Earth-16?
7. Jim Harper (the Guardian/Golden Guardian) and Roy Harper (Speedy/Arsenal/Red Arrow) were related in the comics. Did this influence the decision to cast Crispin Freeman in both roles, or is he just that good?
8. Is Kaldur'ahm the only person to act as Aqualad (thus far), or was Garth previously Aqualad?
9. Is naming him Kaldur'ahm a nod to Cal Durham from the comics?
10. Why is it that no one is ever just whelmed?
