Anonymous> Whoever you are (I can only imagine), the world can be cruel, and it can also be fun. That's how life works. I'm just suggesting something that could make things a lot better.

And now Greg's links are back to inaccessible. Oh, well. Is this something Greg himself has control over? I find it kind of annoying when people post links and except you to copy and paste from it.

I have mixed feelings about Guillermo doing that adaptation. I think he understands the subject material and would do well with it but I also think it's hard to adapt it for western audiences. I feel like the network would want to modernize it -- when the time period is absolutely essential to the story. I also think the lack of a core cast would turn off the network which would want a list of stars to sort of feature every week to draw in an audience.

I guess it's called April Fools.
Green Lantern's Nightlight

That April's Fool post was from CraveOnline, I forgot to mention.

Man, Disney is really going all-out with their live-action reimaginings. But I just have to ask, where's our Gargoyles movie at?

I mean, that could be a great movie. The technology is here, the writers are here, etc. We could really have a great movie. But Disney is about as interested as a pig getting a bath.

I remember this April's Fool post about Robert Downey, Jr. finding the castle. They either said he'd play both Xanatos AND Lexington. They may have even said it was connected to the MCU and that he'd be playing Tony Stark (from what I remember, but I'm probably wrong).

I think Andy Serkis would make a good Goliath.

Brainiac> Okay. :P
Green Lantern's Nightlight

Huh, could've sworn there was a "c" in there when I wrote Brainiac.

Anyway I was going through random pages in the wiki when I came across the London Clan which is said to number 196. Considering that they're based on heraldic animals I wonder if Coat of Arms might have been inspired by the Gargoyles themselves. Also I really want see Gargoyles based on such creatures like the Salamander, the Biscione and the Theow.

Is Guillermo del Toro still doing the Monster adaption for HBO? I wouldn't be surprised if that fell through like most of his projects. Poor guy.

Just Googled, HBO let it drop, Guillermo still wants to do it. Again, poor guy. Said he'll try pitching this year.

On the subject of comics. I've been reading monster,20th century boys and Pluto all by Naoki Urusawa. If anyone's looking for a good graphic novel to read.

GLN> The count is always pointless. THAT is the point.

RIP Tony Jay.

There is balance in all things. Live in symmetry with the world around you. If you must blow things up and steal from those around you, THAT'S WHAT RPGS ARE FOR!

Brainiac> That's nice. It really doesn't answer anything. But that's nice.

(And I'm not here to start something, you do what you want, but the fact that the it's been talked about being shortened means that it was pointless to be begin with.)

Matthew> Brainia's a new one. I am amused.

My sister was the drama student in my family. I don't recall if she was ever in Fiddler, but it wouldn't surprise me.

The local PBS station aired a program last night called "Ten Houses that Changed America". One of the houses was a Gothic-style house, close to castle-like in appearance, called Lyndhurst, built in the Hudson valley near New York City in 1842 for a former mayor of New York. When I saw it, and noted its location, I thought that that place looked like a great location for a "Gargoyles" story, if we ever get any new ones.

Brainia, reminds me of my sophomore year in high school. I played a fish seller.

That's a shame. I thought I bought it back when I got Clan Building volume 2, but apparently not. I'm not going to pirate it, that doesn't seem fair and they're reasonably priced. But I would love to read it.

And yeah, I saw the price on Amazon. Don't have that kind of cash I'm afraid.

Aldrius

The comics also came out before digital releases went big, so there are no torrents or plentiful downloads to be had. No scans [for Bad Guys] because you'd have to take the trades apart and they're now irreplaceable. Wouldn't be so much of a problem to scan the single issues but the TPB has exclusive content.

You can find okay scans for Clan Building easily, but no Bad Guys.

Signature: Why can't we have nice things.

Aldrius: The Gargoyles comics are out of print everywhere, your best bet is to check Ebay now and then. Or you can wait and hope for reprints--which seemed to have been teased, but not officially announced or much of a substantial rumor.

According to BookFinder.com the only current seller of Bad Guys is on Amazon for $298.94.

I thought we were stopping the countdown at five or six? But I guess that wasn't all agreed on. I don't know why we do the countdown anyway.

1) Do you guys know where I can buy Gargoyles: Bad Guys volume 1 in Canada? I thought it was on Indigo, but I can't seem to find it now.

2) Bah! WarCraft lore is really hard to summarize well. It sounds like Weisman's novel is actually going to be fairly canon-independent. Almost thought traveler was going to include Furion and Tyrande because they were in the trailer but Greg says it doesn't. Kinda disappointing just because they're awesome characters and he would have done a good job (a bit like Oberon and Titania in terms of influence/stature in the WarCraft universe).

3) There're some Gargoyles/Spectacular Spider-man/W.I.T.C.H./Young Justice actors in WarCraft stuff. But WarCraft 3 and most of the WoW expansions were non-SAG projects so they were never credited in those games (and mostly remain uncredited to this day) I can't get them in trouble by saying "X was in WarCraft 3: Reign of Chaos"! Can I? I'm not affiliated with anyone and I don't know for sure, for sure it was them. I know I'm okay to say Josh Keaton, Vanessa Marshall, Grey Griffin (Delisle), Kevin Michael Richardson, Jim Cummings, Cam Clarke and Steve Blum all play roles in WarCraft, though.

If you've ever taken a road trip through the Pacific northwest, you've probably seen a bumper sticker for a place called Gravity Falls. It's not on any maps, and most people have never heard of it. Some people think it's a myth. But if you're curious, don't wait. Find it. It's out there somewhere in the woods. Waiting.
