I remember reading that the scene in "The Silver Falcon" when Elisa had her gun loaded and drawn, and Broadway dashed out in front of her, was another deliberate contrast with "Deadly Force."

That ThinkGeek t-shirt leaves me wondering how and when Goliath got his talons on the chopper Lexington built before it blew up.

There is balance in all things. Live in symmetry with the world around you. If you must blow things up and steal from those around you, THAT'S WHAT RPGS ARE FOR!

MATTHEW - [I also remember that the gun that nearly killed Eliza one episode would save Broadway's life in "The Price."]

Technically, not the same gun. I recall Demona smashing Elisa's gun in "Long Way TIll Morning", and Xanatos in his gargoyle armor doing the same in "Eye of the Beholder"; both of those stories took place between those two episodes. And there were probably one or two gun-smashings that I don't recall (it's been a while since I've watched "Gargoyles" all the way through).

But, yes, Elisa's gun did wind up saving Broadway's life, and I suspect it was intended as a contrast to "Deadly Force".

Hufflepuffs are really good finders

I've been thinking about that lately and how apparently the NRA accused "Deadly Force" as being pro gun control. I also remember that the gun that nearly killed Eliza one episode would save Broadway's life in "The Price." A good reminder that things are rarely as black and white as we may think.

But it is also true that the moral one most needs to hear is the one that they most likely will ignore.

Posting here to let my fellow fans know about a Gargoyles t-shirt being sold at Thinkgeek. It's the only officially licensed Gargoyles product (aside from the DVDs) that I've seen in years.

I fear the same could be said of many good morals - those who most need to hear them will be the ones who will refuse to listen the moment someone tries to share it with them.

Deplorable and loving it!

I'm starting to think that "Deadly Force" should be required viewing for anyone who owns or intends to own an assault rifle. But those who need to hear its moral the most are the least likely to do so.

Just found out in France there is a comic retelling of Awakening with all original art from '96, reprinted 2011.

You need a fifth of Kentucky bourbon to help dull the pain, Greg? I could probably jump the southern border and pick up some of the good stuff for you.
