1) I remember reading ages ago that you had a Zatanna arc, a Marvel Family arc and a Red Tornado arc planned for season 2, all of which had to be shelved because there wasn't enough room for them. Am I right in thinking that you wanted to include these stories - and would have included them - had season 2 been 26 episodes rather than 20?

2) Why didn't you have the Team meet Sgt. Marvel and Lt. Marvel in season 1? They weren't off-limits to you like Troia was (unless they were and you haven't said) and it strikes me that having the Team meet Mary and Freddy might have been a fitting climax to Captain Marvel's season 1 arc. Obviously you had a story in mind since you were going to do a Marvel Family adventure in the comic before you were asked to bring the comic into the season 2 era. So yeah, just wondering why you opted to leave Mary and Freddy out of season 1?

Hi, Greg! Back in 2012, in response to a question about Queen Bee's real name, you asked: "What makes you think her name isn't Bee?"

From what I can tell by poking around with Arabic phonology and Google Translate, it wouldn't make much sense for her personal name to be "Bee" - that sound in Arabic, usually Romanised as "bi", means "my" in English, apparently. I am, of course, assuming that Bialyans on Earth-16 speak Arabic, given the country's geographical location and some of the established placenames.

But of course, she could easily be named something like Nihla, which means "bee". "Malikat Alnnahl" is "Queen Bee" in Arabic, and you can (I think) see where "nihla" becomes "nahl" in that phrase, with the "al" prefix meaning "of" that should be familiar to all of us from Ra's al Ghul, "Demon's Head" or "Head of the Demon", as well as lots and lots of placenames. I assume the extra N comes from how you conjoin syllables in Arabic, but that's purely a guess.

Hopefully you found that interesting. Anyway: without asking you to confirm or deny anything specific, like "Yes, her name is Nihla", would you say it's fair to assume that "Bee" is more of an English *translation* of her personal name, rather than a transliteration of the sound of her personal name into Roman characters?

Hi Greg! This isn't so much a question as it is a statement (I don't have any questions that don't fall into "spoiler" territory and I live in eternal hope that there will be more Young Justice to come, so I wouldn't dream of bothering you with spoilery-questions).

I just wanted to say -- I watched Young Justice devotedly from it's premiere through second season finale, and -- although almost three years have passed since "Endgame" premiered, YJ is still one of my utmost favorite shows. Your characterization and inclusion of some of my most-loved DC characters excited me then, and still excites me now. YJ-canon is, actually, my favorite (and IMO the most logical) canon for the DC Universe.

No matter how many times I rewatch it (repeatedly and often, as I own the bluray), it still captivates and draws in new viewers. Just this previous month I got my boss and his daughter hooked! I'm hoping Cartoon Network (or, well, any network or streaming service with the ability to produce new seasons) notices that after nearly three years without new episodes, the fandom is still devoted and growing. Here's to hoping they get their act together and let you make a third season (sooner, rather than later).

So, okay, here's one for you.

Most of the Light's plans make sense. They follow a consistent pattern: one or two surface ruses to draw attention, and one lower-level plan to advance Vandal Savage's philosophy that humans need to evolve and take their place on the cosmic stage. Even the entire season 1 plot seemed engineered to put Earth in the galactic crosshairs, so as to give humanity the chance to grow from overcoming the Reach. And THAT seemed engineered to make Earth interesting to Darkseid.

The one thing that I DON'T get, however, was one tiny little plan.

How on earth did the Light, humanity, or indeed ANYONE but Count Vertigo benefit from killing Queen Perdita?

If Savage's plans had been successful, Vertigo would become King. ... What good does that do Savage? Or the Light? How is that worth using four ice villains to freeze the planet?

So, basically, if it's not a spoiler to answer... Why would Vandal Savage get involved in that one?

I don't know if you'll ever get around to reading this but i just want you to know that i highly respect your work in animation. Young Justice was amazing and got me through some tough weeks at high school. whenever i was down in the dumps i'd just smash on a episode of the old YJ and it would give me a nice "Homey" feeling. i especially enjoyed the Wally/Artemis spitfire.
I think i type in "Young Justice" into google once a day to see if any news has come up about it, and i try as much as i can to help the show out. buying DVD and following on Facebook etc.
Do you think that WB studios or Cartoon Network studios even mention young justice anymore in their meetings, as to bring it back for season 3. or do you think it's in the past and they are not interested anymore.

I noticed while watching Young Justice that Roy shoots his bow right-handed but keeps his armguard on his right arm, as if to shoot left-handed. I had originally meant to ask you why that was, but I think I have figured it out: is it because he is skilled enough to not need an armguard for shooting right-handed but has one on his right arm in case circumstances force him to change hands? This presumes that he has less practice overall shooting left-handed, or at least feels less comfortable in his ability to do so safely.

I was a huge fan of Young Justice when it was on air, and would even manage to wake up for it on Saturdays (Specifically for season 2) despite being a college student who loved to sleep in.

I especially loved Wally's character, and felt that he was the best character (With Robin/Nightwing being not too far behind with his constant prefix questioning)

My question is, which do you think caused the most people to react to Wally's sacrifice at the end of Season 2? The attachment to this specific Wally that you guys built up over two seasons, the fact that your Wally was the only remaining Wally in media at the time (As it would be a while before he was added back into comics), or the end of the show meaning that we might not know if he could ever return.

And heck, I'll add in another question. What was the inspiration for Dick's obsession with prefixes, and why he chose to use the non-prefixed words? Specifically Whelmed because that was always my favorite.

If Nabu refuses to let Zatara remove the helmet of fate because he's afraid that neither Zatara nor anyone else would put it back on again, then how in the world does Zatara eat? There's no way to access his mouth with that helmet on 24/7. Does the host of Nabu no longer need to eat? And I'm not trying to be facetious, I'm 100% serious with this question. Like, in season two, Zatara has been Doctor Fate for over five years. Surely he's eaten something in that time? Or is his body sustained through magical means? 1) When Canary becomes leader, was it because Captain Atom's lenght was over or because he stepped down?

3) In Legacy, Batman was acting as Team supervisor (or liason with the League), which is a duty of the League's leader. Almost at the end, he says "I've sent the League out to help quell the panic". So during early 2015, was he the leader?
4) If so, when did Batman's lenght as leader (during 2015) start and finish? And during 2010?
5) After Aqualad leaves, the task of recruiting new members falls into Nightwing. Does that mean he always recruits the freshmen or, like in season 1, the mentors bring them into the Cave?

Hi there, big fan of your show. I'd been hearing so much praise but I was never big on the superhero scene. Finally got roped in when my boyfriend sat me down to watch it, and I marathoned it in two nights. Fantastic work and completely enthralling.
Before I ask my questions I must add in that I am big on the shipping side of things, so I have "shipping goggles" on, so to speak. I really like Conner and M'gann's relationship: it's grown to something wonderfully complex in season 2, and a pretty realistic one at that. I'm interested in knowing your thoughts on creating this relationship, both as a study and as a learning experience as someone who aspires to be a writer one day. And so here are my questions.
1. As I noticed, their relationship always seemed pretty integral to the plot (as opposed to, say, Wally and Artemis) both in season 1, and definitely in season 2. Was the show conceived to portray such a relationship, or did it grow to fruition after deciding on their character arcs?
2. In that same vein, was the subplot of season 2 concerning M'gann and her continuous (ab)use of her powers there from the beginning of development and, by extension, act as a means to develop their relationship?
3. Was it always planned for M'gann and Conner to split? What I mean is, as soon as you knew you were getting a second season, were they already doomed to fail?
4. At the end of the events in episode 11, if it weren't for Conner being there would M'gann be compromised and still be frozen in the ice?
5. I know Superboy and Wondergirl are a couple in the comicverse. As Cassie is obviously an item with Tim, it may be moot now. But during development, was it ever considered that Conner and Cassie would follow their comicbook selves and move toward a relationship?

If I heard correctly, I understand that when you and your collaborators first broke the story for Young Justice, you had a "two-year" plan for the series, though you also had plans for as many as five seasons, in total. Considering that, I have two questions. First, did you ever expect to get a pickup for season 3? It seems to me that, if not, you went through an awful amount of trouble (I.e. Purposefully and masterfully introducing elements evocative of an eventual Apokolips storyline, among other things) to tease storylines that you were fairly certain would never be explored on the show. Of course, given your propensity for thorough world building, I could definitely see how you would make such a creative choice. Second, if you had gotten a season three pickup, would you have liked to continue the concurrent comic line (there were definitely more stories that could've been told in comic format, including what went on during the five year gap, how Ocean Master became disgraced, the Marvel family story that you had planned, etc.)?

I consider your and your collaborators' take on Young Justice to be a masterpiece, not just in terms of action but in terms of planning and structure. And that leads me to ask the question of how, exactly, did you go about mounting that type of beautifully complex operation? I mean how were you able to develop all of those intertwining stories for literally hundreds of characters and feed them all into the larger agenda? Did you start by breaking a general story for where you wanted the series to go and which characters you wanted to take it there? Or did you start with the main characters and work your way out from there?

Hello there, I'm a big YJ fan, and I have a couple of uestions.

1) When you first thought about Artemis and Wally's relationship, did you always knew they were in for the long run? I think what I'm actualy trying to ask is if you developed their relationship beliving they were meant for each other, and if they would be still together after season 2 if Wally hadn't died.

2)My second question is about Nightwing-Dick. In the comics specially, it's clear that he has a hsitory with several girls (Including Zatanna, who by the way I love how you portraited) but none as strong and deep as the one he has with Barbara. We know he's a "dog" and not quite ready for her, but do you believe that he (I mean the Dick you developed) would ever be?

2) What did the League said to the media about Zatara disappearing?
3) Since Zatara was a stage magician too, was his secret identity really a secret? If yes, how did he kept it that way?
4) Same question with Zatanna.
5) Has Zee ever visited Wayne Manor?

I did go to see someone; I started soon after Young Justice started. But the early days weren't easy. Knowing that I'd miss the rest of the show if I killed myself gave me something concrete to hang onto. So. Thank you.

I loved your work on Young Justice. The show really shows the hard work and time you and the rest of the creative team put into it. I really loved the character design, plots, and how your were able to take the characters of such a huge and overwhelmingly popular univers and depict them in your own ways, but still stick to their origins. A character that I love in pretty much every adaptation he had a appeared in is Wally West and that includes the way you have made his character out to be in this series. I don't know if you have previously answered this or not but my question involves just this character.

What exactly inspired you to go in the direction you did with Wally West/Kid Flash? And why? (As far as his utterly tragic yet brilliant send off in the episode "endgame"). Which by the way I thought was excellent. There's no better way to send off and honor such an amazing hero in this kind of show. My question is manly out of curiosity and wonderment, because I'm sure there were many ideas contemplated with the role and direction this character and many others that you all had in mind. I don't know if it really fits in the regulations given and can be answered, if not I'm sorry. Once again, thank you all for the effort you put in to the show and giving us such a great piece of art and entertainment. Every episode was outstanding.

If the Light's ultimate goal is to make humanity more advanced and evolved, then why would a Lord of Choas like Klarion be one of the main members? I understand him wanting to cause chaos for fun like he did in the episode Misplaced, but in the end does he really care what happens to Earth?
