i was wondering about Chavez heritage?is it Puerto Rican or Mexican?
I don't know... yet.
Hi Greg. It's great to see Gargoyles back. Anyway, I have a question about when the Wyvern Clan split between 988 and 994. What I would like to know is why didn't the departing Gargoyles take any of the eggs with them? The new clan would have missed out on an entire generation of the clan. Or did they do something like take more of Bronx's generation(978) with them? I guess that would make sense. Thanks.
The why had to do with the difficulty of establishing a new rookery. Otherwise, I think you answered your own question.
It's really great that you answer all these questions from the fans, Greg. There must be a few thousand in the archives and I know plenty of them are FAQs, repeats, or just silly. But this website is a wonderful gift to fans. If all the authors of stories that I liked did this (if all of them were still alive...) I would be in heaven! So thank you for taking the time for this website and all of our annoying questions.
Questions about Gargoyle biology
1. Are there any wingless gargoyles other than the garg-beasts?
I mean, are there any wingless members of the "sentient" gargoyle species? (the species that have opposable thumbs, can talk, and who (usually) wear clothes) Not Bronx's species, but Goliath's species.
Also I mean born wingless, not wingless because of injury.
2. Do gargoyles see in color? Do garg-beasts?
3. When gargoyle (and garg-beast) babies hatch, do they suddenly burst out of their eggshells in the evening, just like gargoyles explode out of stone sleep, or do they hatch more slowly?
4. a. When birds lay eggs, occasionally one is "bad" or dies or something, and doesn't hatch. Does this ever happen to gargoyle eggs?
b. If so, do the clan hold a Wind Ceremony for the eggs that don't hatch?
1. No.
2. At least as well as I do.
3. Let's wait and see, shall we?
4a. Ever? I suppose so.
4b. Yes.
Issue #3, Wow ... anywho. Cuddos on the late this time (one month). I'm loving the comic book, I'm just concerned what the other people would think if they knew I bought the last issue :( . Alas poor Jason, we knew him well, but a toss up for Morgan Morgan (some name), asking out Elisa wow. And was that anger in Goliath's voice with "LIMITED?!". I honestly forgot about Delila and thought Elisa was talking about Demona (the next page, who knew?) "Thirty-six, Thirty-two" what kind of greeting is that from the Fishing Lord. Did Elisa get invited to the ball, or was Xanatos expecting Goliath to bring her? (I think he might have a thing for her). And last but not least, who is the new girl that is in the laberynth,my "Amazing Spider-sense" is telling me that her name might be important. Also, howmuch leeway do you have for violence?
So far I've been allowed to do everything I want, violence-wise. I'm not an ultra-violence kinda guy though, so...

I know you've said that Demona cast a spell on the Manhattan Clan right before they woke up in the 20th century that allowed them to understand modern English. My question is, how does Angela understand modern English? I would assume that she grew up speaking Old English, as she was raised by Tom/the Magus/Katharine.
Avalon compensates when it sends people to where they need to be...
(How's that?)
Oh, and by the way, Demona casting a spell is just a possible answer to the original modern English question. Not a definitive answer.
Do you have how the gargoyle population of the present day makes it the point it reaches in March 2198 roughly mapped out?
Roughly, yes.
I have some questions about the relative size of some gargoyle clans in the present day - when the comics occur.
1)Which gargoyle clan in the world has the most eggs as of comic issue #3?
1a)Which gargoyle clan in the world has the 2nd most eggs as of comic issue #3?
2)Which gargoyle clan in the world has the most members (not counting eggs) as of comic issue #3?
2a)Which gargoyle clan in the world has the 2nd most members (not counting eggs) as of comic issue #3?
1. I'm not telling.
1a. Oh, that I'll tell. No, wait. I won't.
2. I'm not telling.
2a. Oh, that I'll tell. No, wait. I won't. Oh, okay. No. No.
Let me start with I love the newest comic! I'm very excited to see what happens from here on out!
I was noticing something that you had posted on the wall. You said that Demona was Hudson's daughter, I might have miss read that but considering I did not. Wouldn't that make Broadway his sister, then considering that making Angela his niece?
I was also thinking would Sevarius know about the connection between Hudson, Demona, and Broadway?
Demona is Hudson's ROOKERY DAUGHTER. They're not biologically related (or if they are it's pretty distant). Angela is Hudson's rookery granddaughter. No biological relationship there either. Broadway is both Hudson's rookery son AND his biological son, although the latter relationship is of no import to anyone except gargoyle fans. Therefore no biological relationship between Broadway and Angela.
