I know that Disney isn't totally giving up on the Gargoyles franchise, but is there anything specific they are giving up on? And is there anything special in the future for Gargoyles? Because i am getting a little tired of the same episodes and comics. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I just found out about the Gathering being the last. Unfortunate, as I never got a chance to go there. :(

Also, this is an issue I thought I'd ask. I looked around in the archives but no cigar. If it was answered, I simply didn't notice, and I apologize beforehand if this is the case. If you were ever unable to continue the Gargoyles in any way, shape or form other than cartoons, comics, DVD's and such, how would you continue the story? Maybe publishing them online in deviantArt or a website of its own in story or comic form? Would you be willing to do that, if it were to come to that? Thanks again.

Hey Greg big fan, Awsome work on the Spiderman series it truely is the best. But my question was about the gargoyles series. I recently revistited the show and watched it from beginning to end and i was seriously impressed. I know that disney has the rights and all that, but have you ever tried/considered to re-pitch the series to them? perhaps thats simply not how things work but i find it dificult to see how such a powerful storyline couldnt be profitable.

There was time, so long ago, in cities far away that Gargoyles were one of the most watched cartoons in the land. Many seem to ask the same questions on release dates, but I am curious if there was anyway to contact the "mouse" other than by sales. Is there an email address, or physical address that one could "write too", and maybe get the corporate heads to see that the fan base has never left? They have created the sci-fi through movies and tv series in the last few years, I would have thought Disney would want to be in the "game".
I am 28 now and remember rushing home from school just to watch the latest and greatest of this fantastic series.
Anyway, with out the brilliance of the creators and writers, I don't believe this series would have done as well as it had...well with the exception of season three. It was okay, just not up to the standards of seasons 1 and 2.

Greetings, Mr. Weisman. First off, let me say that it is an honor to be able to speak to you, regardless of whether my question is accepted or not. I truly wish I were able to meet you someday being a writer myself! If only my living in Puerto Rico were not so bothersome... (why not make a Gathering here? :3)

Anyways, on to my question. We all know the story: for reasons beyond us, Disney canceled the legendary Gargoyles TV show we all know and love, and then we got a certain spin-off fiasco. Then, literally a decade later, we get a gratifying notice: the comics! (which I will definitely buy this summer, hopefully, even if it's only the Clan Building trades.) But now, sadly, Disney's gone EPIC CANCEL on us. Again. Therefore, I must ask this question. Apologies if it has been asked, by the way. Here goes:

Has it crossed your mind to consult other animation companies, such as Viz, Funimation, Man of Action (creators of the excellent Ben 10 series) on acquiring the license off Disney, or perhaps giving the series a new animated show on a different genre, such as anime or CG? Hell, I'm pretty sure people would pack the theater if it were to be turned into an anime or CG, especially given the highly impressionable teenager crowd of today that's into these genres.

If you ask me, Gargoyles is definitely not doing well under Disney's wing- I mean, it was virtually untouched for a whole decade and more and would have been thrown into the dark hell of obscurity were it not for the fans-i.e. us, and I'd like to take the chance to thank the fans for doing everything the fandom has done.

I'm loving the effort and detail put into Spectacular Spider-Man! It's incredible how this show stays close to the comics, and somehow does its own thing! I can't find anything negative to say, and I'm accustomed to always finding something bad to say.

But I am curious...what was the reasons behind putting this show (in the USA) on Disney XD? The show started on CW, and it was doing well (wasn't it?) on that network, then BAM...Disney has the show...and their decisions to torment us with how long we have to wait for the season 2 episodes seem so...stupid. What happened? Why Disney?

(We are talking about the same company that screwed us all on Gargoyles after season 2 aftreall, Mr. Weisman...)

Hey Greg lets just say if the comics are sucessful and thier that popular. Do you think we will have a new series of Gargoyles or a remake of season 3? In the future I hope we get a live action movie of Gargoyles and hopefully there will be new products such as games, toys, cups, keychains, posters, etc.

I've been a huge fan of Gargoyles since I was a little girl and I have felt Disney shot itself in the foot for never really appreciating this amazing, revolutionary series. My question is does Greg think Disney has lost it's drive for quality and dedication to good animation and ideas in recent years? this is the first question i post in YEARS... sure feels weird...

Anyways, with the comics being quite a success (for us - thank you so much for making this dream come true), I finally hope I got how the "spin-offs" were intentioned. Somehow I allways got the idea of them being "real" spin-offs, with as many episodess as Gargoyles. I'm happy BAD GUYS has come out in this form and this capacity, it suits the story, theme and place in the Garg-universe.

With the future of the comics being on-hiatus though, I would love to hear if you have thought of releasing the other spin-offs on potential mediums.

For example, I just read into the 2198 storyline, and it came to my mind that it would make a quite interesting computer game. Not that I want to limit my question to this, but today there are so many different ways of telling a story, that hold many opportunities in character development and storytelling (be it computer games or a youtube series or "Alternate Reality Games" for the Internet, that consist of prequels or spin-offs, as was done with Dark Knight or LOST or Cloverfield - for the film version of WATCHMEN, there'll even be an animated panel-retelling of the chapters - kind of like what is done at the Gathering with the voice-acting

I know Disney still has to give the OK, but have you ever thought about releasing one of the spin-offs on a totally different medium than Comics or TV? And if you did, would it change the "course" of the story?

I hope this is not too off, since I know you're fighting for the comics to stay alive and the DVDs to be released, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

Since the cancellation of Gargoyles with the other stories that you have created have you tried to take the ideas for any of the spin offs to other companies such as Scifi, Cartoon Network, etc to try to get a new series or one of the spin offs produced? I loved Gargoyles, as well as, your work on other series, loved the Goliath Chronicles and would love to see the completed spinoff for King Arthur and Gryph. Do you have any plans to work on any other series in the future other than Spiderman, yours or others?

I'd like to know if the show would ever come back. I know that it was canceled/terminated and I'm hoping that some time in the near future that it will come back with new ep's and the canceled/terminated will change to coming back. Will this EVER happen?????? I was a big fan of the show and still am and would love to see it back on the air.
I would also like to know why the show was even canceled in the first place. The show rocked, wasn't too violent, no swears, top notch charactors, first rate story line and with humor for all ages that everyone from the six yr.old to the college student could find humourous. Why would a show with such promise and talent be canned???????

Thank you for all of your work in this series. I have been watching gargoyles since it first came out and they are my favorite cartoon of all time. You really are a genious. Greg, I am A huge fan of both W.I.T.C.H. and Gargolyes, the best shows on TV. I'm glad they are at least runing reruns of them both, and I hope that'll continue for a long time. I am also a huge fan of Disney World, een going at least once a year since I was 3. Do you belive that there will ever be any continuation of either seires on TV? and even if not I want to thank you for you work on two incredible shows.

Before I ask my question, I'd just like to say that I've been a fan of the series ever since its original run in the 90s, and I think the work you and everyone else on the crew did was (well, 'is', actually) brilliant. Especially during the first season and the first half of the second season.

Now, that I've take up excessive time with some praise. I'd like to know: now that you have ball rolling for the series again with the comic book series, is there a chance that we could ever be seeing new episodes someday?

Why did the creators of the show stop making the series?
