I've just starting reading a book called Strange and Secret People by a woman called Carole Silver. The book details the various origins and theories behind fairies. In the introduction she mentions a changeling called Fenella in a story called Peveril of the Peak by Sir Walter Scott. Where you aware of Fenella? Is it a coincidence that her name is so similar to Finella?

It all depends on one's definition of "HUGE".
I mean if you ask certain fans, the fact that we've teamed Superboy with Robin/Dick and Kid Flash/Wally as opposed to with Robin/Tim and Kid Flash/Bart is already huge. Etc.

Thirty minutes left until the reairing of the Young Justice premiere, so I thought I'd pass the time asking a completely unrelated question.
I saw your recent response about zombies, and how you like the old-fashioned "voodoo zombies" but not the modern, post-Romero zombies. I at least partly disagree, as I feel the best zombie movies can be good vehicles for social commentary (for instance, I thought the recent Land of the Dead was a brilliant metaphor for war profiteering- on the other hand, Dawn of the Dead was probably pretty clever at the time, but criticism of shopping malls now seems hopelessly dated). But that's just a difference of opinion. I was more interested in seeing how zombies might show up in your work.
1. Did you think of Goliath in "Temptation" as a zombie? Was that intentional on your part?
2. Do you think zombies may make a more formal appearance in Gargoyles, or have you covered that ground in "Temptation?"

I've held off from buying any of the individual issues because I thought a collected book was all but a sure thing. Have you, Victor Cook, Greg Guler and the fine fellows at Ape Entertainment simply not given much thought to a collected edition, or are you waiting until more issues or stories come out before we'll see a collection?

I watched the pilot for Young Justice, and it was phenomenal. I love this original concept you and Brandon are creating by taking inspiration from past shows and comics. This show will certainly be a hit and hope it goes on for many seasons to come. The question I wanted to ask, was whether Keith David would be voicing any of the characters on this show?

umm i was wondering was it hard picking the members on your Young Justice team? or did you have a pretty good idea on who you wanted from the start and besides wonder girl were there anyone else you wanted on your team but couldnt get... oh im a big fan of young justice already and gargoyles was 1 of my favorite shows growing up and loved TSS it was a new and fresh start on a classic and i loved every episode

We tried to "walk in the door" with no preconceptions. Having said that, it wasn't all that hard. We settled fairly rapidly on our main cast.

I apologize if this is a multiple. My computer is acting a little hicky... The new YJ cartoon aims for older kids, while the upcoming comic book is under the all ages Johnny DC line. Finding stories all ages appropriate is probably not hard, I doubt every episode on tv would be incompatible for the all ages crowd, but it is it somehow odd or difficult to write for an audience that is not necessarily the target of the main product?

Both the comics and the episodes are -- as far as I'm concerned at least -- aimed to the EXACT same audience, i.e. EVERYONE (or at least everyone older than, say, two). We write both versions of YJ on multiple levels to appeal to kids, tweens, teens, college age, adults, to boys and girls, men and women, to hardcore geeks like myself, casual comics or super-hero fans or complete newbies. Etc.
