Mr. Weisman,
Being a fan of such Daxamites like Lar Gand and Sodom Yat in the comincs, I had some questions about the planet and its people.
1) Do Daxamites of Universe-16 retain their species' signature weakness to lead?
2) Similarly, are they as isolationist and xenophobic as their Universe-0 counterparts?
3) What was Daxam's relationship with Krypton like prior to the latter's destruction?
4) Is Daxam a member of the United Planets in the 31st century?
Mr. Weisman,
In regards to Lor-Zod's death (which was absolutely diabolically clever, if you ask me!), am I correct to assume that no one (except Metron) will ever know the truth of what happened to him; much like how none of the heroes will ever know the truth about what happened to the real Ocean-Master (who was killed by Lady Shiva)?
Can you please describe Kryptonian naming customs in Young Justice? For Ursa Zod and Lara El, they seem to have taken the House names of their respective husbands, but Kara Zor-El seems to have the last name of her father. So do Kryptonian women take the surname as their father's name but then take the House name as a surname once they marry? Am I on the right track here?
Why Greg you make choice Garfield would remain single as an adult and not date another woman after his breakup with Queen Perdita for the rest of his life just as the dc comic book verson of adult Garfield remain single for the rest of his life after Tara dies in the comic?
I have two question about the ending of Young Justice: Phantom's finale:
1) Are Robin and Spoiler now dating?
2) Are Halo and Harper Row now dating?
I have to ask about Nightwing surviving the season 4 finale of Young Justice , because frankly I just find it all so hard to believe?
It just felt so unrealistic; first by willingly cutting himself to fake his death injury (as if anyone wouldnât at least bleed after being thrown into a statue and then have the thing fall on top of you), and then slowing down his own heartbeat to a stop. No one can slow their heartbeat down to a full-stop, and itâs not as if someone with super-hearing couldnât tell whether someone was really dead.
I'm sorry, but even now I'm still expecting Nightwing to turn around and suddenly reveal that he's either a ghost, an imposter or some other big shocker.
I was surprised at the ending, too. When they introduced Darkseidâs new furies, I was expecting them to be the Legionaires, as I thought Brainiac was an imposter who was sent to get them. Personally, I thought they should be killed, as it makes the future more interesting when you donât know whatâs coming. Granted, we were told the future was only about 99.84% corrected, so we donât know whatâs changed, but we know it must be good because of Brainiacâs presenceâ¦etc.
Why did you Greg decide as part of the young justice phantoms Garfield and Perdita would not resume their relationship in episode 26 of young justice phantoms?
In episode 26 of young justice season 4 Why did Queen Perdita choose to move on from Garfield and not give Garfield a second chance with her because she was knew that Garfield was under the influence of drugs when he said those hurtful words to her that broke her heart in episode 13 of season 4 of young justice?
Mr. Weisman,
I have to be honest with you here; you gave me quite a scare in regards to Nightwing's head injury. The reason I say this is because I was afraid that Nightwing was going to end up becoming amnesiac and become Ric Grayson; which happened in the comics. Let me say now that I am one of (presumably) many people who hated the whole Ric Grayson storyline in the comics because he went through all kinds of hell before he finally got his memory back. When it was revealed that he faked his own head injury and still retained his memory in the Season 4 finale, I was relieved and happy that he was all right. As such, I wanted to thank you so much for NOT turning Dick Grayson into Ric Grayson.
Mr. Weisman,
Here is my second set of interview-style questions centering around Mary Bromfield after seeing the Season 4 post-credits scene. Just like with the previous set of questions for Kara Zor-El, please answer them as detailed as possible.
#1. Letâs start off with the opening question: What was the idea of having Mary Bromfield have a power addiction problem in Season 4? I clearly donât remember this ever happening in the comics; unless I overlooked some specific reading material?
#2. Anyone who has read âFinal Crisisâ would have likely/easily figured out Maryâs turn to villainy based on what happened in the post-credits scene in the mid-season 4 finale. Her costume while as a member of the Female Furies is based somewhat on her Black Mary appearance from the comics. What was the decision behind these changes; in comparison to what we know from the comics (in which her attire was more Apokoliptian and also having pink hair during the events of âFinal Crisisâ)?
#3. In a post-credits scene for one of the Season 4 episodes (âBeyond the Grip of the Gods!â), Mary was being considered as a potential candidate for the Justice League Reserves. However, the problem here is that none of the heroes at this point in time knows that she is now a villain. As such, do you believe that she might just play along and join the Justice League Reserves and then surprise everyone with a massive heart-breaking betrayal later, or do you believe that Mary will likely NOT be the type of person who would willingly play a game of deception and would instead prefer getting straight to the point and go full-on villain right from the start? Which scenario, in your honest opinion, seems more plausible?
#4. As we both know, Maryâs turn to villainy is essentially Zatannaâs fault. As such, in your honest opinion, what can we potentially expect from everyoneâs reactions once the truth eventually comes out; especially in regards to the lengths that Zatanna went through in order to get her father back (since, considering what Iâve read on the internet, this makes Zatanna more manipulative than Batman)? Furthermore, Maryâs turn to villainy will undoubtedly affect Billy Baston, who considers Mary to be one of his best friends and she is also his sister. As such, once Billy eventually learns the truth about Mary, how badly do you think this will damage their relationship; even if he somehow gets personally involved and manages to save her at some point in Season 5 (since Freddy Freeman DID save Mary during âFinal Crisisâ in the comics)?
#5. Going into Season 5, is it safe to correctly assume that part of Maryâs story arc may likely/potentially involve her attempting to get revenge on Zatanna for being excluded from the Doctor Fate rotation plan? Would Mary even potentially dare to go as far as willing to kill Zatanna; assuming her hatred towards her former mentor really goes deep? Or perhaps, would Mary even be willing to go as far as to potentially kill Zatannaâs father; just to get back at Zatanna for her âbetrayalâ towards her and to make Zatanna suffer both emotionally and psychologically?
#6. By making Kara and Mary become the members of the Female Furies, this is how I interpret the possible situation concerning both of them going into Season 5: Mary started off as a hero, but has now become a villain, and the possibility of her redemption will seem low (depending on her actions in Season 5). Kara starts off as a villain, but she will probably find redemption, and will ultimately become a hero. Is my interpretation of the situation concerning Kara and Mary correct? Did you set Up Kara and Mary in such a position so that these two will ultimately go down polar opposite paths over the course of Season 5?
