The thing about stereotypes in media is that theyâre so engrained that we often donât even notice it and may unintentionally replicate it in our own work. So if someone is saying that youâve fallen into one, itâs not an insult against your character itâs just to bring it to your attention. Getting angry and saying that someone warning you against a stereotype is trying to tell you what to do is a weird way to respond.
