Nick - You got it correct. I'm impressed that you counted the spears. The other answer was 3 volleys of spears and a net.

I'll go back to an old question: from Hunter's Moon part 1, which hunter shot used what weapon against which Gargoyle during Goliath's 1st encounter with the Hunters?

Ok, I'll answer one of my own questions:

1)There were *7* people that exited the subway car after the Gargoyles intervened with the thieves.

Margot and Brendon, the Construction Worker, Art & Lois [from Protection, when I saw Protection] and that other couple.

Now for a relatively simple trivia question: How many slash marks did Demona leave in Gillecomgain's face?

At the moment, I plan on attending the Gathering.

I have another convention that I _must_ attend for work that starts on the same Sunday that the Gathering ends on. DOH! But, I don't need to be at the other con until Monday. SO, I should be good to go.

I just need to square away details (plane tickets to the other con) before I can commit.

Can't believe it's only a month away. That thing crept up so fast.

Hi guys,

The Gathering T-shirts are about to go for printing, and, due to budgetary concerns, and the fear of being stuck with a bunch of shirts nobody wants, it's going to be a fairly limited run.

So, to insure you get one, or if you want to avoid the sales-tax mark-up at the con, or you can't make it to the Gathering but you still want one or both of the of the shirts, ORDER NOW at gathering.gargoyles-fans.org

The designs for the Gathering shirt can be found here:

http://www.kantharasloft.com/temp/tshirt-g2003-small.jpg

While the design for the Othercon shirt can be found here:

http://imaginatorcentral.com/ic/index.html

Go to Art, then Requests, pick the 2003 directory, and it's in the middle of the first page, the one titled "Livin Large:Othercon"

Thanks, and I hope to see all of you in New York in (checks Patrick's post) 35 days.

Hi! I just watched the Atlantis movie, which is basically three of the TV show episodes put into a movie. Greg Weisman is in the production credits and there are several Gargoyle alumni in the film. I liked it and it left me wondering what the show would've been like if it hadn't been canceled. Has anyone else seen the film yet and if so what are you're thoughts?

BATTLE BEAST - Ragnarok (not *the* Ragnarok; no definite article) was the end of the world in Norse mythology, a cataclysmic battle in which the Norse gods under Odin and their enemies, such as the frost giants, the fire demons of Muspelheim, the Fenris-wolf, Jormungand the Midgard Serpent, and Loki, would fight each other to the death - literally. The Fenris-wolf would devour Odin (but then be slain by Odin's son Vidar who would bring his shoe down on the wolf's lower jaw, then grab hold of the upper jaw, raise it with all his might, and riiiip....), Thor and Jormungand would slay each other, Loki and Heimdall would slay each other, Tyr and Garm the hound of Hel (a Norse version of Cerberus but with only one head) would slay each other, and Surtur the fire demon would burn first Frey, and then everything else, to ashes. (Fortunately, a new and better world would arise after the conflagration, ruled over by a few surviving gods such as Vidar and a resurrected Balder.)

sorry for the double post, but i just went and read the recent questions answered at Ask grg and had a thought or two:

first off, how cool would it be if greg wrote a Gargoyles novel(s)!!! that would rock my world!

second, i never thought about it before reading Greg's most recently answered question, but Hudson is really a rookery father or grandfather to EVERY survivor of the Wyvern Massacre. from Demona, Goliath, and the rest of the Manhatten Clan (minus Bronx) to the Coldtrio, to the Avalon Clan.

I watched "Atlantis: Milo's Return" last night (voice directed by Greg Weisman). Keeping in mind that the "movie" is actually three episodes of a planned TV series, it was really good. It left me wanting to see the rest of the series.
The action/adventure style and the mythology elements would have made this show the closest thing to Gargoyles since Gargoyles.
Also, with Greg Weisman voice directing, there are some familiar voices, including Morgan Shepperd as "Odin".
Has anyone else seen it? I'd recommend it. It's not Gargoyles, but like I said, it's the closest thing yet.

SILVERBOLT - I doubt that Disney would revise "Gargoyles" in the way that you envision; they're not that stupid. Any such "high-schoolization" would only antagonize the fans of the original series, upon whom any revival of "Gargoyles" would depend.

Although your comment does remind me of that twisted little creativity demon that I had once where Disney brings back "Gargoyles", but opening with the Quarrymen wiping every last gargoyle on the planet (except for Demona, who becomes overcome with despair at being genuinely the last of her kind, and consequently shoots Macbeth, dying herself thereby), and the Illuminati, realizing too late that without the gargoyles, the organized crime syndicates and "super-villains" such as the Pack are getting out of control, set up a team of humans in gargoyle-style armor similar to Xanatos to become crime-fighters, these humans being the new "gargoyles".

As to the Arthur bit: I don't think that he's going to try ruling the world, just New Camelot in Antarctica. (Of course, we do know that the Master Matrix that's the power source for the entire planet in 2198 is in New Camelot; I wonder what the rest of the world would have thought about New Camelot being the country that would control the Matrix. I'd have almost expected the Master Matrix to be in a neutral region unclaimed by any country myself.)

In his latest batch of answers today, Greg commented that Demona is her own worst enemy. Whenever I read that, I get a little creativity demon of Brooklyn, the Canmores, Macbeth, and possibly Thailog replying "Not while we're around, she isn't!"

Todd wrote-
Also, the Lady of the Lake says to Arthur, "This is not Britain, but a larger stage. But the world needs a leader...." This speech of hers may also indicate that this time around, Arthur's not going to be just handling matters in Britain. (And indeed, we already know that he's going to be setting up New Camelot in Antarctica rather than in Britain.) Maybe Arthur's being awakened by an American was symbolic of his larger role in the modern world, no longer confined to just one little island.

You mean Arthur's gonna rule the world? YES! Brits are taking over the world again! But no more deloratations of independence this time ok?

As for the "too easy" part, Elisa did have to make her way past a couple of animated suits of armor and a collapsing bridge. And I would argue that Arthur was needed. After all, the Avalon clan needed all the help that they could get in stopping the Archmage.

Eh, I'm sure they would have won anyway.

One side thought: can we be certain that Elisa wasn't meant to awaken Arthur from his sleep? After all, we know that in the Gargoyles Universe, the past is immutable. Of course, "the past" is a relative term; from the point of view of people in 2198, 2003 is the past. So logically, all time in the Gargoyles Universe should be immutable; hence, changing the future is no more possible than changing the past. Maybe Elisa was meant to be the one to wake up Arthur all along.

Good point, good point, only one problem... gargoyles 2198 ain't gonna happen!

Do you honestly think Disney is going to bring a show that was original and enjoyed by people and had good writers and animators?!

Sorry if I'm being disrespectful but the only way they're gonna bring back gargoyles if it involves the gargoyles as babies versions of themselves OR if they completely re-write the show to involve the whole series set in a high school run by the villainous principal Xanatos who decides to turn the castle into a music department but secretly wants the teenage gargoyles for some evil thing that requires the use of gargoyles.

However the leader Goliath is discovered by safty patroller Elisa Maza and a new series of adventures begins leading to an epic crossover with Disney's Filmore!

Oh I can be evil thinking such things! >:(

But what I say is true... have you noticed that cartoons these days feature things to do with "kids facing problems in school"? Everyone is doing it! WHY? can't they think of anything but showing High school problems? Ok things like Doug and Recess are fine, those are okay. But its things like Filmore and Pepper Ann and LLOYD IN STUPID0 SPACE which cross the line into just there for making money! GAH! Doesn't Disney know what they are doing is wrong? Don't they ever listen to the public?

I just noticed something from the Silver Falcon. The date on Matt's appointment book was listed as the 27th, a Tuesday. [I know it's not the 22nd, because the next day listed was the 28th, a Wednesday.] In 1995 (the year for that story), the only day that was both a Tuesday and the 27th was June 27, 1995. SILVERBOLT - Actually, Arthur being awakened by an American (and an American of non-British descent at that) might have been significant. In the episode "Pendragon", there was a strong indication that Arthur's modern-day role would not be primarily British. For one thing, Excalibur turns up, not in Britain, but in New York City. And, judging from Arthur's repeated musing over that event, it's clear that there was more behind it than just a handy plot device to allow Hudson and the trio to take part in the adventure.

Also, the Lady of the Lake says to Arthur, "This is not Britain, but a larger stage. But the world needs a leader...." This speech of hers may also indicate that this time around, Arthur's not going to be just handling matters in Britain. (And indeed, we already know that he's going to be setting up New Camelot in Antarctica rather than in Britain.) Ok, I was thinking about King Arthur today and some questions kept popping into my mind about the show.

Okay this one may sound kinda silly but didn't any of you think that waking Arthur was too... easy? It's kinda weird how it seems anyone can wake him up, I mean Elisa lied through her teeth to wake him up and the spell believed her. And (no offence) it's amazing how an American could do it, I'm not saying they can't, but... I would have thought that only someone from the same country could do that, and he could only be awaken for a real threat.

Elisa may have screwed up the future by waking him up because Arthur said that he had been woken up centuries too early. (though with the state of the country at the moment maybe Arthur could be a better ruler than Blair)

well those are my thoughts about that anyway, I don't know what you guys think of this.

Yep, just verified I have the correct answer.

Vash - <while those that require playing a scene frame-by-frame on your VCR are a little absurd.> You can catch the correct answer to my question without watching frame by frame, it's just tough. <I guess it's hard finding things of medium difficulty.> Well, I figured my question about the sequence of attacks on the Gargoyles during Hunter's Moon part 1 would be fairly easy because you could guess the answers out because everybody knows how it ends. One of the more interesting things is remembering a certain quote from Reawakening that turns out to be false during Hunter's Moon. Can anyone guess who said that quote I'm thinking about and what the quote was?

D'oh! Lost my spot to Gabe.

I agree that some of these questions are a little silly, while those that require playing a scene frame-by-frame on your VCR are a little absurd. I guess it's hard finding things of medium difficulty.
