geeez, i'm gone for a few days and everyone gets all crazy! why do we have to have this big fight when we should be celebrating! Vinnie needs to learn to play nice, but everyone else needs to learn to get over it. if Vinnie wants attetion, THEN STOP GIVING HIM ATTENTION! let him do his countdown, ignore him. its a free country, Vinnie can post if he wants and what he wants. we are ALL counting down in our heads anyway. Vinnie, you need to learn to be respectful, and maybe be original, but besides that, i don't have a problem really.

geeez people, we have a few days to go before one of the biggest events in Gargoyles history of the last ten years and all everyone can do is start trouble or fight. i'm ashamed of several people's immaturity. can we please get over this? what would Greg said if he saw us bickering over a COUNTDOWN!? pathetic.

I have to full-out agree with D. Taina over here. It may be just a countdown (heck, I only noticed it about two months ago), but it is a tradition (coming from a large family, I know what it means to keep tradition), and Patrick DID have it going first. I'm not saying that we can only have one, I mean, sometimes it's fun to have more than one person doing it. I was actually planning on doing a countdown for the next Gathering, but I don't visit here everyday, and since Patrick's gonna do it anyways, I'm gonna leave it to him!

But I really hate to see so many people arguing about this. Vinnie, go ahead and do your countdown, just stop bashing other people, I'd hate to see you get kicked off the board.

And I really don't like to see everyone go and 'gang up' on one person. I'm not defending or teaming up with anyone here, and I hope no one gets angry at me for posting this.

We're all Gargoyles fans here, and a lot of us are friends IRL (can't say I am... but I hope to one day be!). Let's just drop this whole argument, finish counting down the last few days, and buy the DVD like crazed lunatics come December 7.

And just on a side note, to all you college and university students, good luck on your midterms! (I know I'm gonna need it)

Vinnie: You know, it's not helping your credibility if in every single one of your posts you insult somebody, like Crzy Demona and Patrick with your "you snooze, you lose" attitude. And now you insult the entire comment room? It's fine to have your own countdown, but come on, now you're just crossing the line.

If you keep this up, you're going to turn everyone against you. You've already been called a spammer and a troll and one of TGS' administrators has already given you a warning. Is having your own countdown really worth all this?

All this arguing about a countdown - a COUNTDOWN, for Pete's sake - may seem silly to you, but it's very important to us. It's tradition, and that's something Gargoyles' fans value very much because we're like family here. Do you really want to mess with that?

And what's all this about fanaticism? Why do you think we're all here?

Come on, you're a nice guy. Don't do this.

Patrick: I feel the same way Patrick, there is nothing which can sway me from finishing my countdown either. BTW I'm not in competition with you and I'm not doing this to annoy you that's just an unpleasent byproduct of the CR's narrowmindedness.

Jennifer "CrzyDemona" Anderson: Oh get off your highhorse because you have absolutely NO idea what you are saying! But then that's what this Cr is all about. ;)

You know, I don't post here often anymore because I'm, well, busy with life and I've had some health problems that have made following a discussion and posting comments that are actually coherent a strain. I lurk a lot, but I don't post much.

But something that Vinnie -- who's apparently new here -- obviously doesn't realize is how many of us are friends IRL. This forum's a great connecting place for people who share like interests and common ground -- this fandom's one of the friendliest, most welcoming I've ever known.

Yeah, we're here for fun. This _is_ fun for us because we're friends, by and large, and we like hanging out with each other -- online, mostly, but IRL too. Some of us have been friends for more than a decade. Couples have met through this forum and gotten married. I just completed a book several months ago with Tigris, who I met here when this website was still on the humberc server -- what, eight, nine years ago? I've made some _very_ good friends (*bats eyes at Abram*) here. I've travelled cross country to hang out good friends I've met here. (*Waves at Pogo*).

I could go on and on about what this fandom's done for me, but I've got livestock I've got to feed yet, I'm afraid, so I'll have to cut the longwinded ramble short.
But -- bottom line for me -- this place is indeed fun. But don't underestimate fun. People here are important to me and you need fun in your life. *shrug*

<<Fanaticism is never a good thing!>>

Ah... let me count the ways that fanaticism has benefited my life.... ::GRINS::

Troll... err... I mean... Vinnie is only doing this to try to get attention. He's so desperate for it, that he will annoy people just for 5 seconds of someone speaking to him.

I really think we should all just feel sorry for him... I mean, most of us have real people to talk to. He just has a comment room full of people to yell at him and nothing more. It's rather sad. Even in the middle of this comment room, we have family, many of us are best of friends. ... and he has nothing. Not even a small amount of respect from strangers on the net.

Siren - DUDE! I want one of those foam finger things!!!

There must be something to be said for fanticism, or I would keep coming back to these boards or going to the conventions. It's the people who treat this fandom like some kind of pit stop in the Romper Room of online trolling that I feel sorry for. You really don't know what you're missing in terms of the friendships and connections you could have made.

At this point, nothing is going to sway me from completing the countdown to the DVD, or starting up a countdown to The Gathering 2005 once it is over. To again quote Yogi Bera, "It ain't over 'til it's over." >:)

Countdown -- 9 days until Patrick's original countdown (accept no substitutes) reaches it's zero mark and gives me the signal to buy my Gargoyle sets. It's the default gift to give on my Christmas list this year.

As Patrick has been kind enough to start the countdown several months ago with a very admirable and long standing dedication, I plan to hit the "buy" button at Amazon soon as he's hit the countdown touchdown *^_^*

Yay, Patrick!

Only nine days until Gargoyles season one comes to DVD this December 7, 2004!

Jennifer "CrzyDemona" Anderson: Maybe you care a little bit to much. Fanaticism is never a good thing!

Alex Garg: Oh, don't worry about me. I've long since realised that Cr's like this are not forum for intelligent debate. They're only for FUN!

Vertigo1: So now the traditionalists speak out. I find that Cr's like this only care about tradition when it suits them, the rest of the time they're tearing tradition down.

Vinnie, don't get (further) on Jen's bad side. Really. You're crossing a very fine line that divides trolldom (having crossed the line that divides righteous stubbornness and trolldom) from masochism. While events like these are great fun for the rest of us to watch, often turning the comment boards into cyber Coliseums hosting gladiator matches, having come close to the line myself I feel morally obligated to tell you that the experience will not be fun for you.

Gorebash>Thanks. My daughter and I donate a lot to that shelter several times a year. When we do the seasonal closet and toy clean-ups. And when I buy the latest DVD if I have the earlier release of the DVD or the VHS of that movie I donate it there. Women's shelters are a great place to donate. To me, even better then Salvation Army and Good Will. Those mothers and children come out of abusive homes with nothing but the clothes on their back. They need clothes and toys all the time. And it all stays in the community and not sold elsewhere.
And donating to places like the Boys/Girl Clubs, YMCAs, libraries, etc will open the gates to new fans. Some of those kids may not have cable and thus no Toon Disney. May not even ever heard of Gargoyles ever. That way when they are older and doing better in life, they can find places like here perhaps.

In other news...
I started yet another new hobby (I got one for everyday I think)...making custom My Little Ponies. Yes, you heard right. Search Ebay, they have a lot of great examples. I am currently just putting the finishing touches on a Last Unicorn pony. I plan to keep that one. But I plan to make an identical one to sell on Ebay. The next I plan shall be a Demona one...yes, once again, you heard right, a Demona My Little Pony. I doubt Demona would be amused ;) When that's done, I'll post it. :)

Gorebash>Purty much when the site opens you will see some of the following.
1)The monthly comic book. (I'm hoping to have it all up by mid december, I would of had it all up dec first but my grandma past away and it was really tragic)
2)More random sketches leading up to some of the animated shorts etc. and comic book concepts(P.S These animated shorts are just parodies so it's not like the cartoon or anything like that. example the first one is the cowboy beabop intro done with the gargoyles characters. I've seen snipits of it it's really neat)
3)some pictures of us at comic con.

More stuff will go up as the site moves along. You can blame partly me for having it up so late i'm the html editor etc and I get really busy updating. I know Tom who runs the site mostly will have some surprises and things for the gathering attendees in the dealers room.

As far as pannels I'm not sure yet about that I'm sure there will be something of the sort like that helping people get into the comic bus etc and tips. If you have anymore more questions email me and I'll get you in touch with tom.

Shara: Any inside info on what kind of stuff we might see when the site opens? Will there be a comic or maybe a couple panels of one at least? And when will the first animated feature go up? I'm really interested to see what comes out of the site.

Just a "oh yeah, i should have included that" for those who don't know what "Child's Play" is, the website is: http://www.childsplaycharity.org/

Give it a peek. I'd have put the link in the link field for this post but I got something else to offer on this post-turkey-day. Nothing Gargoyles related. Just a quickie music vid I put together out of boredom this morning. I figure it's time to start sharpening those video editing skills and maybe get an entry or two into the Gargoyles music video contest for the next con. Er... there will be one, ja? Feh, no worries. I want the challenge of putting one together with SP's "We Only Come Out At Night" which would have to be handled very delicately as there isn't any hard-core rock bits to throw in some sweet action.

Anyways, the video is edited together bits from the two x-prize flights by SpaceShipOne. WMV9 via Movie Maker (sorry Mac/Nix ppl) because Premier isn't on this machine, and the thing was done put together on a whim. It's nothing big, just simple cuts in sync with tempo/sound changes in the song. The song is "Flying Through The Either" by Helios Creed. Enjoy.

I personally don't care who's doing the countdown but I don't see any reason for more then one person to do it. Patrick has been doing it since it was announced I believe, that's all we need. Repeating it after someone already announced it is kinda like SPAM.

Anyways...

Gorebash>I plan to donate a copy to the local woman's shelter. Kids are always going in and out of there and they probably could use something different. Most of the movies at the shelter are very much kiddie fare, so I am sure some of the older kids would love to have something like Gargoyles to watch instead.

VINNIE - Isn't the countdown Patrick's job?

I sometimes wonder if Greg really regrets that "Titania's whisper" scene; the fans just give him no rest over that!

Thanks for the link to the DVD menus, Kris (although I hope that the little super-hero guy in the lower corner isn't going to be in the finished version); they look very good.

And happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Just remember, this is a day for being grateful for the good things in our lives, not just an excuse to eat so much turkey that we wind up being mistaken for the floats in the annual parade for today. (I know that I'm grateful for my kitten Obie, and also that Greg's given us six new episode rambles in the last month, including the one for "Pendragon" - among other things.)

Did you guys see the gorgeous DVD menus yet for the Gargoyles set? Check it out, all of them...

http://www.dvdtoons.com/news/699

You may commence with the squeeing (my favorites are the first one and the one with Broadway flying away from the castle shaded in red). I love how Disc 1 is all Scotland scenery and Disc 2 is present day New York.

We're still all set on ordering from Amazon on December 7th to make the biggest impact, right? And pick up another copy or two from the store that day if we're too impatient to wait for it to be shipped? That reminds me, I should write a review to add to your guys' numbers. Was the "150 Reviews" goal something you all made up, or did Greg request it?

Oh my god, Greg's been doing assessments of all his episodes from beginning to "The Journey" ? As good as we'll ever get to all-episode commentary. Good to know I'll have lots to read once I'm finished with the Season 1 episodes (I'm one of those viewers who's a huge fan and has followed this site on and off for a few years now, but hasn't re-watched any of the series since their original airings and is pretty sure he missed a bunch of eps, non-Goliath-Chronicles ones even!).

Thanks to those who provided and linked to MLP info, much appreciated. It's funny how it includes a whole bunch of episodes and retails for $50 to $60 US, but stuff like the original Transformers, that can sometimes only contain like 19 episodes (I'm glaring at Season 1 here), retail for $80 to $100. Luckily deals can be found (or price stickers can be switched. Heh, maybe that's a bit evil, but HMV ripped me off once in a the past. And really, all their prices are jacked up above most other outlets').

Happy 21st BattleBeast (your name reminds me of those miniature action figures from the late `80s/early `90s. I loved those things, didn't have nearly enough of 'em). Speaking of aging, I spotted a white hair on my head yesterday. I'm only 22, man!

Check out Ask Greg's Latest Responses:

Aves writes...

I've asked you what Titania told Fox, but I know now that you're probably only gonna answer it to your kids on your deathbed. So, I have a somewhat related question.

Was there actually something in the script? So did Kate Mulgrew actually say something? Was there something to whisper? Or was it just "Pst pst pst" so that you could establish some mystery for all those characters.

Now, the problem is, if the answer is no, I highly doubt you'll tell us, to keep the mystery that scene was meant to establish. But, if it is, you might tell us just "yes." But, having just written this, you might not tell us one way or another even if it is yes. I wonder, then, why I wrote this.

Greg responds...

There was nothing specific written in the script.

So all these years, the fans have been arguing about what was NOT written in the episode.

I'll vouch for the rain and wind..

It's rained here since Saturday (at least)... now its windy. heh. :\

It was warm outside today, too.. as opposed to sometime last week when it was cold. It was also warm yesterday.

Hey everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving to all Americans! Enjoy yourselves while you eat your way to a turkey-induced coma! (I know I did for our Thanksgiving)

Todd -- Snow already? It's a week before December, I live in the frozen north, and the worst I've gotten is flurries that last for no more than 30 mins! Talk about your global warming.

Anyway, the reason I'm posting is because it's so close to the release of Season 1 (December 7th can't come soon enough), I thought that it'd be good (and fun for me) for me to go around (run around) posting up flyers around my campus. The reason why I'm telling you all this is because with my hectic schedule right now, I don't really have the time to make up a flyer. So if there are any of you out there who are willing to make one, and can send it to me, it'd be great! Besides, I'd like to have a reason to run around my campus looking like a lunatic... it'd be for a good cause! :D

Man, I think _I'm_ the one that needs a life... running around campus like a raving lunatic, AND enjoying it.... I seriously need a hobby.

I hope that everybody here's done their Thanksgiving dinner shopping by now (or at least, everyone who lives in the US). And I hope also that everybody who's travelling to relatives' homes this year has a safe journey (the thought occurs to me all the more this evening since there's a loud icy wind outside and actual snow flurries - the first snow that Obie's ever seen, so needless to say, she was very intrigued by it).

Kris> My Little Pony: The Movie was released in theaters and then to VHS. Also shown on TV several times. That is NOT included in the MLP release currently. What is included is 2 TV specials "Rescue at Midnight Castle"...also once called Firefly's Adventure. And "Escape from Katrina".
The movie itself took place between Escape from Catrina and the "End of Flutter Valley" mini-series which is on Disc 1. Battle Beast is correct, it is the one with the witches who create the purple Smooze and set it loose on Flutter Valley. The Smooze destroys Dream Castle and the Moochnik gives the ponies Paradise Estate.

M*A*S*H SEASON 7 ON DVD DECEMBER 7TH!!! MY FAVOURITE SHOW! IS THERE ANYTHING BETTER COMMING OUT THAN THAT?

Seriously, it IS my favorite show. I have Seasons 1-6 already, so I can't wait for this next one. (Of course, I will be buying 3 Gargoyles too.)

Kris> The one I am thinking of is the one with the Smooze and the Flutter Ponies... Do remember that one?

Siren> I found MLP on Amazon. It's funny because I can get it CHEAPER WITH CURRENCY CONVERSION than from my local A& B Sound, Future Shop, Best Buy, Wal Mart or Blockbuster. But I AM GOING TO BUY IT TOMORROW. (Or order it, I mean.)

"release the DVD of the previous season just before the next one starts"

That's what they're doing for my most recent obsession (no pun intended), Monk. The second half of Season 3 starts in late January, while Season 2 comes to DVD January 11th.

I love Monk :) :) If you guys haven't seen it, Season 1 episodes are playing on USA Network at 10pm Eastern Friday nights. It's a hilarious show. Click on my name to go the website to find out more about it.

Anyway. For my fellow American friends: have a great Thanksgiving. And if you're traveling today: have a safe trip and may you arrive at your destination safe and sound!!! :)

Re: Busy December 7th

I'd love to own Carnivale, but it's one of those really expensive HBO sets. Even ordering it off of Amazon, it's still pricey. It'll be an eventual purchase, but not in the same week when I'll be getting 24 Season 3 and Gargoyles.

I don't remember My Little Pony being my favorite cartoon during any period of my childhood, but I think it was a must-see for a while there. There's nothing wrong with a guy liking a supposedly "girly" show, obviously. I was a big fan of Jem as well. She-Ra too, though I'm not sure why that series sometimes gets painted as a girl-aimed series when it's just as action-adventurey as He-Man or Thundercats, just happened to star a female lead.

Battle Beast said:
>Lets hope they put out the movie soon enough.

Isn't the movie included in the Season 1 DVD set? I always get a bit confused about this. There were two or three TV movies...and an actual piece titled My Little Pony The Movie? Did it make it to theatres? What I'm thinking of is the pilot movie, "Rescue at Midnight Castle", which I remember being my favorite of the Pony material 'cause it was pretty dark and all medieval-y. I know that's on the DVD set for sure (on the very last disc for some reason, even though it kicks the series off. If I'm remembering right, it introduces the human characters that're featured throughout the rest of the series).

Gargoyles may be one of the later things to make it to the floor. I know when I was hunting for a DVD-A on the release date, it didn't make it out to the floor in Best Buy until 7pm. Why? It was released the same day as Nelly's dual albums.. and some other stuff... lol. So it wasn't a priority to get it out :D

That seems to plague every fandom in existence... it's not just Gargoyles. It's the overall laziness of our society. Laziness because of convenience. It's more convenient (and quicker) to ask a question... but it takes time for that to be answered, and/or to look for that answer.

Gorebash and Greg are still working on this problem, but it'll likely be some time until the solution becomes installed, since Gore (who does the programming) doesn't have much leisure time to work on it.

Fortunately, the current rate of questions isn't quite the deluge that it used to be (and currently, we don't have the option of closing the queue since Greg's re-embarked on his episode rambles and wants the queue open so that we can post our own episode rambles in response; currently, he's at "The New Olympians"). The last question in the queue was posted on Sunday; none were posted on Monday or (so far) on Tuesday.

The search function hasn't solved everything, unfortunately, for one simple reason: you have to use it, and I suspect that many of the question-submitters simply haven't thought of using it. The real problem is not so much with "Ask Greg", as with the fact that many members of the fandom are apparently too lazy to look things up themselves.

Ah yes... once a year it comes around. No, I'm not talking about Thanksgiving or the start of the Christmas shopping season. It's the annual go-nowhere discussion of how to fix "Ask Greg." This is a topic that has been argued for so long in the online fandom, it's become akin to the "Tastes great!" / "Less filling!" debate. It probably stands just as much a chance of ever coming to a resolution, too.

Just two weeks to go until G-Day. There are 14 days left until the spell is broken and they live again! Gargoyles Season One comes to DVD on December 7, 2004!

I was wondering...

I still check "Ask Greg" at least weekly, typically more often, even though I have dropped out of the fandom in every other way... I love it that much, as we all do. However, according to my calculations, the average number of new questions submitted per day equals the number per day that are answered. (And that's an optimistic comparison. Realistically, the responses lag behind the new submissions slightly.)

If new questions were not allowed to be submitted, the current backlog could be eliminated in 320 days. But with new questions coming in, it WILL NEVER CATCH UP, EVER.

I know the powers-that-be check in here every now and then. Gorebash, Todd, whoever -- have you ever considered, or tossed to Greg Weisman, the idea of DELETING crap questions? I remember Greg Weisman saying something to the effect of him not liking that idea, initially, because it could discourage fans from submitting. But when they will have to wait, literally, YEARS to get the answer to a question like "What are the New Olympians?" or "How old is Goliath?" or any of the other questions that are redundant, don't you think the submitter will either (1) lose interest and move on, never to check back again, or (2) in the YEARS he has until his question gets answered, look it up?

It just seems like the backlog could be cut in HALF this way, and with the new-and-improved Search feature of the Archives, there's really no more excuse for submitting terrible questions.

I noticed several times, Michael Reaves, popped up as writer for some episodes of My Little Pony on the Season 1 DVD. Ironiclly enough, they were the best, most exciting, and somewhat "darkest" episodes of MLP. Like Return of Tambolon. Which is about a magical evil ram that comes back after 500 years of banishment to enslave the ponies. Among many other great episodes. A few more degrees and we'll get to Kevin Bacon ;)

According to an earlier post by Greg Weisman on the subject, Kalais and Xetes are Boreas's sons. (Their names were borrowed from Greek mythology, where they were the sons of the original Boreas, the god of the north wind, and had wings - which explains why the New Olympian Boreas has wings. They signed up on board the Argo for the Quest of the Golden Fleece, and were particularly helpful when the Argonauts stopped by the palace of King Phineus, who was being plagued by harpies that were constantly stealing his food - Zeus had sicced the harpies on Phineus since Phineus could see into the future and had publicly mentioned a few things that were supposed to happen that Zeus didn't want mortals knowing about. Kalais and Xetes drove the harpies off, and the grateful Phineus gave the Argonauts some good advice on continuing their quest for the Golden Fleece.)

Demonskrye: I wondered that too about Romeo + Juliet aspect of New Olympians. I considered Ask Greging that, but I figured S&P wouldn't let him to that, so it's kind of moot.

One other thing about the NOs spin-off: In some of the Ask Greg replies, Greg talks about Terry as though he's teenager-ish, but in the reel Greg shows at the Gatherings, Terry's 20-something. So I wonder this, has Greg since "revised" the show as he did Gargs 2158 (into Gargs 2198)? I don't recall reading anything from him about that, but I'm guessing the Ask Greg replies are newer than show pitch. Anybody know for certain? Or should I enter it into Ask Greg?

Since we're past the weekly top ten...

"Deadly Force"

(possible spoilers? It's on the AvMists archive... heh..)

I had never seen it as I started watching Gargoyles when it was on Toon Disney... back in 99ish area. I know I had played the board game before (loved it.. I think I won, too.. heh) in like 94 or 95... sometime. Anyways..

I applauded at Hudson's line about how hard it is to tell if something's fake or real on TV anymore.. it seems to apply more NOW than it did when this ep originally aired. Odd, eh?

I liked the ep... I don't see why people don't like it (people being the programming heads). It gave me a bit more story/history with Dracon (Though I can tell it's been a while since I watched an ep, I was messing names up like crazy... like how I pronounced them...).

I liked how Broadway went from careless to overly anti-gun... He saw what happened when he shot the gun, how it hurt Elisa. How it PHYSICALLY hurt her.. he heard what the docs said when they found her on the gurney. In order to prevent any more people getting hurt, he started attacking people with guns... took me a bit to make sense of why, but I'm glad he did, as I think he found the mellow-point at the end of the episode.

The end of the ep? very nice. Both Elisa and Broadway saw mistakes they made, and would rectify those mistakes, in order to prevent anything else from happening.

Overall, very nice..

(and yes, I realize this is SHORT! haha!)

10th!

Haven't posted in a while, I've realized. It sure is dead in here, as some of you guys said earlier.

Amazon.com Gargoyles reviews: 121. We just need 29 more reviews in 15 days to meet our goal of 150. We might not make it, but that's okay. We're only 4 reviews behind Buffy Season 7, which was just released last week. :)

In other news, yay for Thanksgiving Break and getting a week off of school. And the chance to be at home and do nothing productive (although I SHOULD get some homework done, so I'm ahead when I return next Sunday).

Is this 6, 7, 8, or 9? Well I'm guessing 6 and that's it for me.

5th, and I'm reposting L&O/Gargoyles Fanfic project in it's current state. I didn't get any feedback on what direction to go. It's not much, and forgive me that I end up doing the story piecemeal. Inspiration for my stories tends not to come in a chronological fashion.

"Gargoyles have been public knowledge for nearly 8 years and people still think they are out to get their kids, after all they've done for this city?" said Fin.
"Lot of good Christians out there, gargs can't help if they look like the definition of evil from the Bible, turning to stone in the day doesn't help to dispel that belief either," replied Stabler, just as Benson came in with a folder, tossing it on the desk.
"Autopsy just came in on the victim, raped and crushed windpipe, DNA testing confirms that it wasn't a human who raped her, so our walking sculpture isn't clear, found some hairs on the body that they are trying to identify…".
"Great, now we just have to convince the millions people on this island that an innocent gargoyle just happened to take his daily nap at the scene of a brutal rape and murder," quipped Munch as Captain Cragen comes in.
"We've got the famous Detective Maza who wants to speak with our guest when he wakes up in about an hour. Benson, Stabler, go with her and see if the gargoyle witnessed anything…"

Sunset

"I've never seen a gargoyle wake up before, something to tell my kids when I get home," said Stabler, watching Elisa Maza stand anxiously outside the observation window watching the last rays of sunlight filter through the barred windows of the room over the solitary stone figure. Benson held her breath as the first cracks started to spread over the gargoyle's chest and work their way over the entire body, ending at the eyes, which glowed with white fire. The creature began to move, shedding stone skin everywhere as the mirrored glass they were behind shook with his roar and the remaining fragments exploded in all directions. Benson exhaled, looked around and noticed that the hallway was filled with officers jockeying for a look into the room. "Alright, show's over, back to work," With a few dejected sighs and impressed whistles, the crowd dispersed. Maza quickly let herself into the room before the gargoyles could try anything.

The scarlet beaked figure looked over to the door and looked immediately relieved. "Elisa!" he said, "Where am I? It was dawn and I tried to hide in a dark alley for the day…" But Elisa waved him silent. "It's ok, Brooklyn, you picked a bad place to sleep, you were found near the body of a girl who was raped and strangled, the tests show that whatever did this to her wasn't human, to make matters worse, a media van showed as SVU was moving you, and labeled you as the killer. There are threats of Quarryman revivals and even religious fanatics demanding your destruction on grounds that you are a dangerous animal,". Brooklyn looked down at the floor. "And here I thought being under the Endangered Species Act was a good thing,"…
