Well the thing is I'm thinking about the touch ups that the service we were talking about does. If they can bring Wingless' betamax tapes to DVD quality video, then we'll just have to do a little video editing at the commercial breaks, and put the DVD menus together. If we convert the betamax ourselves, then we'll have to dub the audio with your high-quality videos, which is going to be a lot more work, and from what I've been hearing, it won't be possible to remove the station's logo. So it seems to me like using the service is the best option.

There are, of course, other options we were discussing too, but I just wanted to get a head count to see if this was a possibility.

I can't imagine why Demona would have slept with Macbeth. She always left before dark, and she did have Thailog to go home to.

Honestly, I disagree with what Hudson once said about Demona. I don't think that she's capable of anything. I think there are a scant few lines even she would never cross, and sleeping with the enemy is one of them.

I once wrote a fanfic satirizing fics where Demona reforms in Angela's lifetime. I was always meaning to work on another that satirizes fics where she fraternizes with humans. Maybe someday I'll revisit it, I just need to conquer my own misgivings.

I'm not surprised that Demona took the abstinence route - she definitely wouldn't want to do that with a human! (And, since Macbeth no doubt got a divorce as soon as possible after the "Sanctuary" adventure, the marriage must have never been consummated. In any event, though, the Disney XD has always run "The Goliath Chronicles" here as part of the normal run, to my knowledge at least. Indeed, as "Hunter's Moon, Part II" is airing tonight, they should be just on the horizon. XP

Masterdramon: My reason for asking is that they ran "Turf" the other night, long before running the Avalon or the Gathering eps. It will be intersting to see if we actually get "The Goliath Chronicles" episodes at all-since they didn't air when Family channel was airing the episodes back in 1999-2001. They haven't aired in Canada since their oriinal run(for good or bad). ^_~

Battle Beast: For much the same reasons (that, and how damn well-written the whole thing is, even moreso than many of Shakespeare's other works of the period IMHO) Othello happens to be my favorite of his plays in terms of simply reading them; unfortunately, I've never actually seen it performed.

One of my greatest regrets in life is the lack of Shakespeare performances I've been able to see in my formative years, but unfortunately, spending those years in Hawai'i rather limits one's options in that regard. XP

I saw Othello: The White General of Venice last night. As you could guess from the title, they did not use a black person as the Moor. I was dissappointed by this; It made keeping track of all the performers a little more difficult.

Don't get me wrong, the man who played Othello was still amazing, and it was an all around great experience. I had seen a traditional Othello years ago, when I was in grade 9 (1998?) and that was great.

Greg sure knew what he was doing when he used Othello for the Cold Trio.

I like Othello because it is the one play with no kings, fairies or twins... just simple lover's jealousy and an evil villian.

Iago may be one of Shakespeare's greatest villians... he uses plain and simple jeallousy to get what he wants, and loves every minute of his treacherous deceit, yet in the end he fails to win.

I also found out the main playhouse in Edmonton is doing A Midsummer Night's Dream, my favourite of all Shakespeare's plays. I can't wait to see it in April. (yah, it's a ways off...)

Next Week I get to see The Twelfth Night. I have seen it before, but It should be great again.

If you're talking about Demona in the midst of the centuries-long depression and outwardly expressed self-loathing that will doubtless come to pass after Angela dies without reconciling, then I think the possibility exists. Once that occurs, I've always imagined Demona spending a good few decades letting her crusade lapse and engaging in a variety of self-destructive behaviors, with the caveat being that she can't die from any of them. I could buy (from her perspective) bestiality being one of those behaviors, alongside heavy substance abuse.

Of course, she'd ultimately learn little-to-nothing from the whole affair and deny any of it ever happened, but little-to-nothing is still an improvement over nothing at all.

Todd: I'm not sure I could see Demona doing that in the gap between 1057 and 1994, but I definitely find it a conceivable notion between 1997 and 2198. Whether she wishes to acknowledge it or not (and she sure as Hell doesn't), Demona has been shaped more than any other gargoyle on the planet by human culture, and while I'm quite pleased that society as a whole has loosened its sexual mores in recent years, Demona certainly seems the type to take such cultural shifts a bit...far...

Wingless: Since I've been TiVo-ing "Gargoyles" off of the U.S. version of Disney XD for years, I believe I'm qualified to answer this statement. No, our version does not air the episodes out-of-order for the most part (though "The Price" and "Kingdom" still occupy their incorrect slots from the original airing order, funnily enough).

One other curiosity, though, is that is lists "Possession" (the most recently aired episode as of today) under the "The Goliath Chronicles" subtitle, despite it very clearly not being so. An incredibly minor complaint, I'll admit, but it's still a little jarring. XP

Scary thought time: Demona's frustration gets the better of her hatred for humanity out of sheer desperation, and she starts assaulting humans (who don't survive it, of course - though their fate wouldn't be much better if they did; imagine one of the survivors saying that he was raped by a blue-skinned bat-winged female living gargoyle, and finding himself at best being made to take a breathalyzer test, at worst shipped off to the nearest institution).

It's not just Puck who has played fast and loose with rules and agreements; the Weird Sisters used their alliance with the Archmage as a loophole to get back to Avalon in spite of their 1001-year banishment.

I think the Children of Oberon are pretty chaotic by nature, although Puck and the Weird Sisters are the only ones I know of who altered their agreements.

A couple of straggling points from CONvergence I haven't mentioned. From the sex in animation panel, Greg confirmed that Demona and Thailog had sex and that Demona's centuries of craziness was spurred in part by sexual frustration. That may have have been a joke.

In the Gargoyles panel, Greg said he's contacted Marvel and they're currently not interested in doing Gargoyles. There is at least one Marvel editor that is a fan, however.

From the entire weekend, I found Greg to be a bit more open about something going on between Lex and Amp than before. He confirmed that Lex has a crush and that we'll have to read future comics to "see where they're going."

I talked to Greg about Mecha-Nation at the signing and he said they lost the artist after #1 and they've had to find someone else. That's the cause for the delay.

Greg has said in the Ask Greg archives, numerous times, that Owen (as Puck) knew Demona from before Awakening (which also explains how Demona knew that Owen was Puck), and that it was Owen/Puck who introduced Demona to Xanatos.
