No kidding. Having time existing as a particle capable of generating radiation is a BIG (read completely unsupported by theory or observation) leap in real-world science.
Of course, this is comic book science...or perhaps I should say SCIENCE!!!!! Things don't always have to be sensible in the real world; they just have to be consistent within the rules of the fictional universe. That way lies the work (and technology) of one Dr. Anton Sevarius, for example. In the real world, he would make no sense, but in the fictional reality of Gargoyles, he works (if abhorrently so).
