No kidding. Having time existing as a particle capable of generating radiation is a BIG (read completely unsupported by theory or observation) leap in real-world science.

Of course, this is comic book science...or perhaps I should say SCIENCE!!!!! Things don't always have to be sensible in the real world; they just have to be consistent within the rules of the fictional universe. That way lies the work (and technology) of one Dr. Anton Sevarius, for example. In the real world, he would make no sense, but in the fictional reality of Gargoyles, he works (if abhorrently so).

I think this explanation works, within the context of Earth-16 science. Like Greg, this isn't my favorite type of time travel, but I think the way it was depicted in the show made sense.

ESG: Never in a point-by-point breakdown sort of way, apart from it being clear that - in keeping with the typical "rules" of the DC Multiverse - time is mutable, based on the actions of time-travelers.

The most we can infer is from the one moment we see explicitly: at the end of "Bloodlines" Bart has traveled to the past, and an instant later Nathaniel's present is altered by all of Bart's actions in said past.

However, he still remembers the "old" timeline. I'll admit, I don't have a good answer for why exactly that is. In a wider story sense this future world wasn't nearly as important as the fear of it, so the season didn't have time to revisit the era and expound further.

[Oh, and if you're confused about Nathaniel's disbelief that the Reach Apocalypse hadn't been averted by Bart's journey to the past, Greg W. has confirmed in the following post that Nathaniel was mistaken. He believed that the Reach had blown up Mount Justice, and so assumed that its still-present destruction meant Bart had failed, when in reality Aqualad was the one who destroyed it in both timelines.]

I shouldn't worry too much about it. "Gargoyles" also depicts stone castles in 10th century Scotland and its take on King Arthur is clearly modelled on the Arthur of medieval romance over that of historical speculation (elements like the Sword in the Stone, the Lady of the Lake, and Merlin, were only added to Arthur's story during the High Middle Ages).

Wikipedia doesn't say anything about the Normans and Scotland prior to William's invasion of Scotland in 1072, for whatever that's worth. And I'm not entirely sure where to look for more in-depth information on Scottish and Norman history, to see if they really did send diplomats to each other a hundred years before the Norman Conquest.

Here's the problem with most fanfic writers: they seem to think Dominique is a second life. It isn't. Demona spelled it plainly in "High Noon." She's a gargoyle. Dominique is just a tool to help her in her goals. She'll use the form because she changes into a human, whether she likes it or not, but Dominique is not another life for her.

I think I might have asked this before, but I can't remember for sure, and I definitely don't remember anyone else discussing this. So...

Did the Normans send ambassadors to Scotland in the late tenth century in real life? I know that it would be another hundred years or so before they invaded England, and England is between Normandy and Scotland, so I think it's pretty unlikely.

Anthony: I was planning to get the Wii U version as well, unfortunately. This isn't the kind of game I like to play on my 3DS, and I rather doubt my laptop can run it to the degree I'd like to (it has trouble running the Steam port of "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle," a GAMECUBE game).

Thankfully, I bought a 360 for cheap off a friend who was looking to sell it after they realized they hadn't played it in 6 months, literally a couple days before the news hit that they Wii and Wii U versions were cancelled.

So I know what the first non-used game I'll be picking up for the thing will be.

The gameplay doesn't look very promising, but that wasn't the selling point from the start. The selling point was that we could see more of the story, which as far as I know is STILL the main selling point. So I will be getting it, for the 360 probably.

Who's excited for "Young Justice: Legacy" in two weeks (plus a day in North America)? Do you plan on getting the PS3, Xbox360, 3DS or Steam version?

Personally, I'll see what the IGN review is and make a decision from there. I'm hoping for a good review. I will probably get the PS3 version out of all the options. I might have gotten the Wii U version; it's a shame it got cancelled.
