I think that the TMNT trailer looks unimpressive, and the large-scale property damage (in a TMNT movie??) makes me think it'll be like any other Bay-led schlock, whatever his role is. But I do confess to getting a chuckle out of Mikey removing his mask.

I've been thinking about what spoilers I'd want from Greg. I've never actually posted anything to Ask Greg, but ages ago I made a list of what I would ask. Here are some things from that list:

1) Who is Tom's father. (This was asked previously, and I inferred from Greg's non-answer that he knew who Tom's father was.)

2) Fang is the only one of the original four mutates whose feline DNA came from a species that cannot roar.

3) What's the Green Knight doing nowadays? (I had a plot bunny about the Green Knight being affiliated with the Pukhan Clan, what with their shared interest in justice.)

4) Alex's middle name is Fox. What are the middle names of some other characters?

5) What was the approximate date (e.g. to the nearest millennium) of the supernova that created the Space-Spawn?

6) What do the main sides in the Space-Spawn conflict call that conflict?

7) Are both of Oberon and Titania's children (with each other) beings from folklore/mythology rather than original creations? (Probably an obvious question, but at the time I had assumed they were original for some reason. Now I'm inclined to think that Morgan le Fay is the daughter, but I can't remember why.)

8) In "The Price", why didn't Xanatos just make the sword on his replica Hudson statue a part of the stonework? Sometimes the sword turns to stone too, thanks to the Spell of Humility.

9) When did the Illuminati start announcing their rank as a method of greeting? Presumably it was after 975, since the Norman Ambassador didn't greet Xanatos like that.

10) Was the metal from Coyote 4.0 (i.e. from the Cauldron of Life) melted down and re-used for Coyote 5.0?

The Wind Ceremony I'd really like to see Demona respond to (though I don't think she'd be invited at all) is Elisa's (since she'd probably be given one when she passes on; the gargoyles see her as part of the clan). Can you just imagine what she'd say about Elisa - a human, and especially *that* human - getting a Wind Ceremony? It might be her biggest outburst ever.

I'm cautious about asking for spoilers, after reading "Bad Guys" #2, where nearly all the big events (Yama's exile, Hunter's recruiting him for the Redemption Squad with the threat of exposing the Ishimura clan to the world, Sevarius breaking Fang out of the Labyrinth's prison) had been already revealed at Gatherings and "Ask Greg". If Greg gets to tell more "Gargoyles" stories again someday, I'd like to read them without as much revealed beforehand.

But I've been wondering a bit about Knight's Spur, the London clan's country home, lately. We saw in "Clan-Building" that it's a stately home (probably late Stuart, from the architecture) - one that was most likely built as a human residence. How long has the London clan been living there? Was it originally the home of a human family (obviously a wealthy and aristocratic one) - presumably a family living alongside the gargoyles? What became of it? (There's no sign of any humans at Knight's Spur in the present day, apart from Macbeth and King Arthur, both of whom are clearly visiting and don't live there.) Not to mention the ramifications of the name, evoking a chivalric age. (We know that the London clan has at least one link with King Arthur even before Griff met him at Westminster Abbey; they were the custodians of the riddle about Excalibur. I wonder whether, if there *was* a human family at Knight's Spur, it was descended from one of Arthur's knights.)

I've been wondering about the Illuminati leadership in 2198 as well, since Masterdramon brought it up. We know from the comics that the present-day Illuminati have apparently been anticipating the Space-Spawn invasion - or at least, some catastrophe around that time - especially since that was evidently the event that King Arthur was supposed to be awakened for (and Falstaff's remark that the Illuminati are trying to save the world strengthens the likelihood that their original goal - still active in the present day - was to thwart the invasion). But we know from Greg's piece on "Gargoyles 2198" that the Illuminati are taken off-guard when the Space-Spawn show up, so apparently they've lost that piece of information. (And they then proceed to team up with the Space-Spawn - unless this is a plan to take them down from inside.) I wonder if the Illuminati lose their link to the Holy Grail at some point between 1996 and 2198 (maybe connected to their clashes with Goliath and his clan, King Arthur, and the Redemption Squad).

Angela's wind ceremony would likely be dangerous for Demona to attend, anyway. I've suspected that, by the time of 2198, she's well known as kind of a gargoyle version of Osama bin Laden. With all the battles, with a spotlight now shining on gargoyles after "Hunter's Moon", I find it hard to believe that we can make it to 2198 with the general public at large remaining ignorant of Demona's existence and the danger she poses...

... Gargoyles customs or not, I don't think that by that point, she could step foot into an event like a Wind Ceremony for Goliath's daughter (and we know he'll be well known) without being captured by human authorities.

Here's the problem with most fanfic writers: they seem to think Dominique is a second life. It isn't. Demona spelled it plainly in "High Noon." She's a gargoyle. Dominique is just a tool to help her in her goals. She'll use the form because she changes into a human, whether she likes it or not, but Dominique is not another life for her.

I think I'd want something that was more of a tidbit. I wouldn't want to ruin anything for myself or just raise too many more questions. So, for me, it'd be something like "How many eggs are in the 2018 Manhattan rookery?" or "Where did Jade and Turquesa go after leaving Avalon?"

Beyond ruining the surprises to come or raising tons of more questions, finding out something like Xanatos' last words may also be useless without context.

Demona's words at Angela's Wind Ceremony is good. If she is even there and chooses to speak. We don't even know when that might happen. Angela could live well into the 2150s.

I was looking at the entry for today on the Old Farmer Almanac's web-site, and one of the historical events given for March 24 was the first performance of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" by Tennessee Williams. It gave the cast list for the major characters, mentioning alongside "Maggie the Cat" a character called "Big Daddy" (played by Burl Ives). Looks as if Maggie wasn't the only Tennessee Williams reference in "Gargoyles".

(I remember an episode of "Bonkers", for that matter, with its own Tennessee Williams reference. In it, an extremely cultured toon lizard was offered a role in "Night of the Iguana", which he accepted, thinking it was the Tennessee Williams play; to his horror, it turned out to be a B-movie in which he was supposed to play the monster.)
