I've been quite enjoying season 7 of AT myself. Stakes in particular was a hell of a ride. If I have a critique, it's that I thought
Marcy getting revamp and PB getting the Candy Kingdom back felt a little rushed. I would have liked seeing both of them in their respective new status quos a bit longer. Not that it isn't fun seeing them both restored to their former glories.
Here, too, when they came, they found the Huns, whose warlike fury had swept the earth like a living flame, till the dying peoples held that in their veins ran the blood of those old witches, who, expelled from Scythia had mated with the devils in the desert. Fools, fools! What devil or what witch was ever so great as Attila, whose blood is in these veins?

Princess Bubblegum's first name has been known to be Bonnibel (shortened as "Bonnie") since the second season. She's been referred to as such dozens of times, so I'm not sure why you're treating it as some kind of new thing.

Otherwise, I'll just say I disagree completely. Season 7 has been knocking it out of the part so far, with an exceptional level of sophistication in the writing and a high degree of interconnectivity with previous material.
"Varmints" has probably been my favorite overall, so far.

I liked season 6 quite a bit, but there were a great number of episodes I have no interest revisiting. So far, season 7 hasn't had any of those. If this bodes for the season as a whole, I'm quite looking forward to more.

@Masterdramon - My review of Adventure Time Season 7 thus far -
Season 7 kicked off on 11/2. They aired one episode each day from Monday (11/2) to Friday (11/6) to form some sort of mini arc with the King of Ooo, now the Princess of the Candy Kingdom, at the center of the story for the most part. All of a sudden Princess Bubblegum's first name is Bonnie? I wonder if this is a reference/joke on that fact that Princess Toadstool in the Mario Bros series is more commonly referred to as Peach now. I'm not a huge fan of the King of Ooo as a character, and I don't really care about him. I care more about others who weren't showcased. Overall, I'd give this arc a 2/5 stars.

There were no new episodes 11/9-11/13.

On 11/16, they changed the opening theme song to center on Marceline who is the focus of this arc. It's subtitled STAKES. Parts 1 & 2 aired on Monday, 3 & 4 aired on Tuesday, and 5 & 6 aired on Wednesday. The last two parts (7&8) aired last night, and I've yet to watch them. There is a hint of Kill Bill in this arc as Marceline hunts each of the five vampires on her "list" that once gave her her powers. With Marceline at the center of this arc, I was really hoping for more musical undertone, but it's been very minimal. I'm enjoying the structure of this arc better than the first, but some of the beats are falling flat and it's pretty predictable. Without seeing the conclusion, I'd give this arc a slight edge over the previous one. 2.5/5 stars.

New episodes after that? Good question. I'm not a fan of the sporadic schedule.

And that's a wrap. Congratulations to Aidyn_ for the winning bid of $511.00!

Three and a half hours until a certain significant (to this room) silent auction on Desert Bus for Hope goes live. Best of luck to any who try for it.

@Algernon84 I think it *was* Patrick Stewart as Goliath. Also Xanatos too.

Since no one else has brought up Vrai Kaiser's latest (http://vraikaiser.com/2015/11/13/protectionthe-cage/):

"Also there's something about a jalapeno. I don't wanna talk about it."

Not a fan of the classic joke, I take it.

Another (mostly) 90s show is getting a reboot. MST3K has hit its fundraising goal with weeks to spare: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mst3k/bringbackmst3k

Shout! Factory had to buy the intellectual property from Best Brains before Joel Hodgson could use it for Kickstarter. It's hard to imagine Disney selling Gargoyles for any sum but this shows the concept has precedence. The difference here is Shout! has been making money for years selling dozens of DVD volumes of old episodes: a business already had a vested interest in the IP.

Thanks for the heads up on the Robot Chicken/Gargoyles sketch. It's the first one after the opening credits, so you don't have to suffer though the rest of the show! :)

I like this question and answer. So officially Marina Sirtis can't seduce herself with her own voice. If anyone could, I thought it would have been her.

KingCobra582> "How many of you guys saw it?"

I hereby invoked my Fifth Amendment rights and decline to answer.

(Seriously though, I recorded it; I'll move it up on my viewing list.)
