Of course, GargWiki is only as reliable as its citation link from Previews World. But I updated the page's date knowing that at least when it comes to my comic shop in Phoenix, that's the site they refer to whenever I ask them about the status of the Cinestory.

And for anyone that has been following the other Joe's Books properties, I've yet to see even an advertisement for the Garogyles Cinestory in the Joe's Books comics I buy (like Darkwing Duck) or peruse while in the shop (for example, I just saw an ad for an upcoming second Gravity Falls Cinestory . . . but naturally, its not like one has to do with the other).

Previews World has it listed as May 17, 2017. Walmart has it listed as October 28th. Target: October 25th. Just a bit all over the place.

The 2017 release date was listed on the Gargwiki page, it's that one I trust the most.

So in an effort to get a conversation going, I was going over Gargoyles' current Rogues Gallery and something popped up to me. Jackal and Hyena are a pair of sociopath/psychopaths, Wolf a murderous brute like his ancestor. Sevarius is driven by his own twisted views of science, Thailog has general megalomania and something of an Oedipus complex. Demona has her "kill all humans" and Castaway's "kill all gargoyles" but Coldsteel seems to be a bit of a mystery.

It's said that he had made some kind of deal with the Archmage and that unlike other gargoyles was never truly good and honorable so he never had a stepping off point for turning to villainy. He seemed to lust after Coldfire/Desdemona but that may have changed as of late. So unless I'm missing something or some bit of his backstory has yet to be revealed I'm just going to have to assume he's evil for evil's sake.
