While I'm not much of a DC Comics reader (my taste in comics runs more towards Carl Barks and Don Rosa's "Donald Duck" stories, "Peanuts", "Prince Valiant", and the "Doctor Who" comics put out by first IDW, then Titan Books, than conventional super-hero comics), I recently discovered, and rather like, the "Gotham Academy" series. And I wondered yesterday whether its characters might show up in Season Three of "Young Justice", now that we know it's going to be made.
I do know that Greg Weisman hasn't read it (because somebody asked him about it at "Ask Greg"), and it seems to have come out after "Young Justice" ended (temporarily), so it wouldn't have featured in the brainstorming plans he and the rest of the production team might have had about Season Three before they learned that the show wouldn't be renewed after Season Two - and I doubt that those would have changed much. Which makes it less likely that elements from "Gotham Academy" will have a prominent role in the third season.
I certainly don't see Olive, Maps, and the rest becoming members of the Team, even without those factors. But I wonder if it's possible that they could wind up making cameos, like Wendy and Marvin in the first season of "Young Justice". (Just don't ask Greg about it; I'm sure it violates the "no ideas masquerading as questions" rule.)
