TODD> Indeed, I pretty much take it as all but confirmed that the Morrigan was just an earlier alias of the Banshee.
I'm kinda curious if Lugh is hanging around on Avalon somewhere. If so, it'd be interesting to see how he reacts to his "son's" rebirth. Maybe playing Jor-El to Mr. Dugan's Pa Kent.

And there's a parallel between the Banshee in "Gargoyles" and the Morrigan in the Irish legends. In the original legend of Cuchulain, the Morrigan tries to seduce him at a point when Cuchulain's busy (fending off an army bent on raiding Ulster to carry off a mighty bull, and having to do so single-handed since all the other warriors in Ulster have been laid low by an ancient curse), Cuchulain tells her that he doesn't have time for this, whereupon she angrily attacks him in several different animal forms, but is driven off each time. When, some time later, Cuchulain is finally killed (in a different fight), she reappears to mourn him.
As Greg Weisman himself commented, this suggests the Banshee's love-hate feelings towards Cuchulain in "The Hound of Ulster" (and which we'd presumably have seen more of in "Heroes of Ulster" had it been made).

Been doing a lotta research on Irish Mythology recently and one thing that really keeps hitting me is just how well it meshes with the Gargoyles Universe. Particularly in regards to the Tuatha De Danann, a mythical race who inhabited Ireland prior driven literally underground by Scota and her descendants.
The Tuatha De Danann (People of the Goddess Danu) were a race of magical shapeshifters often depicted as something between gods and fairies. Originally hailing from various mystical islands where time passes differently then in the mortal world.
Granted, a lot of this is probably due to Irish and Arthurian(later Shakespearean) mythology drawing from the same Celtic roots, but still...

Apparently, the future of the DarkWing Duck ongoing at Joe Books is in question if sales of the TBP don't pick up. Obviously, that would damage confidence in any potential Gargoyles comic.

Tsk, tsk, "Anonymous"; one does not inTENtionally double-dip and typically get away with it around here.

If you've ever taken a road trip through the Pacific northwest, you've probably seen a bumper sticker for a place called Gravity Falls. It's not on any maps, and most people have never heard of it. Some people think it's a myth. But if you're curious, don't wait. Find it. It's out there somewhere in the woods. Waiting.
