It not like Gargoyles is the first show with bathroom problem. I've heard that in Star Trek the star ship Enterprise only had one bathroom for it's entire crew.

You gotta respect him for treating his characters with dignity (even if it's just something he'd rather just not want to answer). And I did also mention about him talking about the "privacy" of Black Canary's hair colour (there's been versions of the character that wears a wig...). I wouldn't have asked that myself, but some people want to know these things.
Green Lantern's Nightlight

GLN> It's not about it being terrible, it's about Greg being of the opinion the gargoyles deserve a little privacy, particularly in dealing with bathroom habits.

Plus apparently people harp on it a LOT.

Thanks for the link. I'm not sure why it was such a terrible thing to ask, it didn't sound that bad to me. The loft in the clock tower doesn't really look like it could've had a bathroom, but then again I never thought that while watching. There must be more to it than we think.

This was Greg's answer to the bathroom question.

Richard Jackson

I meant more like personal hygiene-related.

I know that Greg probably wouldn't answer excretion questions, although I wasn't specifically wondering about that. I know he also avoids personal questions about characters such as Black Canary, as he was asked if she was a natural blonde, and replied that it was her business, or something like that. The point I'm getting at is, I know how he is about personal questions. But I'm just asking you the comment room, more than what Greg has said himself.

I'm going on a tangent, because it was just a simple question about where they go to do whatever they need to do, not literally about their bowel movement.

Green Lantern's Nightlight

I think Greg Weisman has specifically said he won't address excretion-related questions.

* always clean and everything
Green Lantern's Nightlight

I also wonder about their toiletry concerns. There doesn't seem to be any kind of bathroom in the place above the precinct, yet they're also clean and everything. They wouldn't have to worry about that at the Eyrie Building. It also makes me wonder what they did in Scotland.

@Green Lantern's Nightlight

Yes, I believe Greg Weisman has confirmed that the Mayan pendant wearers sleep, and that Gargoyles sometimes take naps if they're tired.

The recap at the Funko website does not include Gargoyles. I don't think the reveal was true.

Maybe someone was confused when they saw the fan mock-ups.

Inland

Possibly, it's a pretty big jungle.

Anyone else think the Lacandon Jungle could be the location of the Mayan Clan?

Here is its wiki page:

Lonnie, I need to ask you to cite a source. Because I've been Googling this and I cannot find any instance of any Funko Gargoyles toys.
Greg Bishansky

Everything that we basically do in the day, they do at night (even more when they were in the present). We might take a nap, but do they take naps? Especially those that wore the special devices that kept them from turning to stone, they'd actually have to sleep regularly, right?
Green Lantern's Nightlight

Some Disney afternoon pops were announced about a month back or so. The Gargoyles ones were just announced at London Toyfair but no release date given.
Lonnie Machin - [Anarkylantern at icloud dot com]

I imagine that when the idea came around to cook food, the gargoyles quickly adopted that. Assuming they weren't the ones to come up with that idea.

* wasn't Broadway.
Green Lantern's Nightlight

That would've been too easy to do. At least it was Broadway.
Green Lantern's Nightlight

At least that drawing of Bronx chewing on a fire hydrant from one of the early character sketches never became canon. (Thank goodness.)

Hufflepuffs are really good finders

We see Broadway eating some sort of lichen in the rookery in "Awakening, Part One" with no apparent ill effects. I don't know nearly enough about fungi to tell whether that's unusual or not, though.

And in other scenes, Broadway also eats quite a few things that are also safe for human consumption and doesn't say anything about foods that are unsafe for gargoyle consumption.

Ok. So, I have been watching a lot of nature shows and survival shows on Netflix. It got me wondering what a Gargoyles diet is like. I know there would be differences in locations of the clans and things like that, but the type of thing I am curious about are things that would be unwise for humans to eat or drink, be harmful for Gargoyles.

In these survival shows, they constantly boil water to kill unseen bacteria that would make a human sick. I am guessing this does not effect a Gargoyle because of stone sleep, and I am guessing the same for meat that is rotten and berries and plants that are poisonous to humans.

I am guessing that Gargoyles don't keep livestock or grow plants, but are more hunter/gatherers. Do they cook there meat or eat it raw? Do they have several meals a day or not?

What do you think? I don't think we have ever talked about this before and I didn't see anything in the archives.

Adam Carlson - [carl006_1999 at yahoo dot com]

They're doing Nickelodeon Funko Pops. I know people want Disney Afternoon ones.
Green Lantern's Nightlight

Still awaiting confirmation but I heard something about Gargoyles Funko pop figures being shown at London Toy Fair.

7th.

Commitment ceremony? Nice. (Going pretty out there, but nice.)

Green Lantern's Nightlight

Perfect sixth, once again.

I should try for this on the last Monday in August, too. Then I can have the first perfect number on a day with the second.

I may possibly be overly amused by mathematical oddities.

Third.

Thanks for posting the story, Bishansky.
The boar in this story is a "real" mythical creature. And let us give thanks that Demona's anger and jealousy get the better of her judgment - so that she sends it off to battle the Manhattan clan and its allies before it could reach full strength.
