Speaking of Scrooge McDuck, I've been re-watching Ducktales (2017 version) and noticed a few things with the actors. Susan Blakeslee sounds eerily to Tress Macnielle and Robin Atkin Downes looks like he's channeling Jim Cummings as Falcon Graves. Wonder if that was on purpose.
Also, hilariously enough Mark Beaks is a none-too-bright tech CEO when his actor Josh Brener plays a similar character in Silicon Valley, though he's even less bright in that show.

I've just read the two latest volumes in the reprints of Don Rosa's "Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck" series (Volume Seven, "The Treasure of the Ten Avatars" and Volume Eight, "Escape from Forbidden Valley"), and would like to recommend these (along with their predecessors, Volumes One to Six) here. They're a lot of fun (and might be all the more timely thanks to the "Duck Tales" revival), and contain a few familiar elements to "Gargoyles" viewers.

Probably the biggest one is in Volume Eight, in a story where Scrooge Mc Duck, Donald, and Donald's nephews go to Finland in search of the Sampo, a wonder-working object from the Finnish mythical epic, the Kalevala. During their quest, they hear about the chief figure of the Kalevala, Vainamoinen, who had a magic harp called a kantele, described specifically as his "conduit" - and they use that precise word - to exercise his power (and recovering Vainamoinen's kantele becomes crucial to the quest for the Sampo).

There's also a story featuring King Arthur - here, Arthur is depicted as more the "Arthur dux bellorum" of historical speculation, but with some hints about the origin of many familiar elements of his legend (such as the Sword in the Stone and the Holy Grail).

(Rosa was the same writer/artist who produced "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck" - reprinted in Volumes Four and Five - which contains a couple of other elements familiar to "Gargoyles" fans; one of Scrooge's ancestors gave shelter to Macbeth at his castle during the "civil war of 1057", and Scrooge encounters Australian legends while searching for gold in Australia.)
