I just finished reading a book titled "The Last Gargoyle" by Paul Durham, a fantasy about living gargoyles in the modern world. They've a different set of rules than our familiar gargs (for example, they're magically animated sculptures - who can send out their essence, called "wisps", to walk the streets in human guise), though they're also protectors (here protecting the buildings on which they roost - they call them Domains - and their human inhabitants from nasty undead creatures called Netherkin). (And they call themselves "Grotesques" - to them, "gargoyles" are just the sculptures that serve as waterspouts.) The gargoyle-narrator, Penhallow, lives in Boston, and makes a few uncomplimentary remarks on the gargoyles of New York, looking upon them as a snooty lot (I don't think this is intended as a reference to the show; there really are lots of architectural gargoyles in New York, and I think that's what that passage was alluding to). I found it in the children's section of the library; it's just been published, earlier this year.

Came right here to share the link about the movie. Saw that someone beat me to it. I'm all for it, of course. I hope that Greg W. is involved in any future Gargoyles projects though.

I've read the first two Warcraft books, and although I know almost nothing about the World of Warcraft setting, I enjoyed both.
Trivia: the first book contains an allusion to the line "can no more stop protecting than breathing the air".

Brainiac: I think we might have gotten that high on that one week in 2003 when Greg asked about our top 5 reasons for liking Gargoyles. I'd have to check though, and it's pretty low on my priority list.

I've read Traveler and enjoyed it a fair bit, despite having almost no knowledge of Warcraft lore. But presumably Greg didn't either, prior to doing research for this book, so he clearly made an effort to make it accessible for non-fans who just want a good fantasy romp.
I purchased The Spiral Path as well, but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. It's two or three books down my current list.
And based on what I've seen of his work, both comedy and drama, I would love to see Peele's pitch for the franchise. Assuming that article is in any way accurate, which I won't necessarily without another source.

Perfect sixth, once again.
I'm quite certain there are times in the past that a count might have reached the next perfect number, 28. I doubt it ever reached the one after that, though (496).
