I think that most of the people who used to post here have drifted away for various reasons (less free time than they used to have, no new "Gargoyles" stories since the Slave Labor Graphics license expired, etc.). And those who remain may have fallen into a passive approach of "Someone else will probably get a topic going; I'll just wait for that person to make the first move".

So I've been giving some thought to the upcoming season of Young Justice alongside the pictures of what we've seen so far. This has gotten me speculating about the future and what this means. This will be hidden with spoilers just to be on the safe side.

[SPOILER] So we know at the end of Season 2 that the team would be working side-by side with the Justice League so the chances for the covert missions the team is known for may diminish. I think possibly because of the loss of two bases and the death of Kid Flash has made members of the League a bit more protective of the younger members. However Nightwing may still recognize the need for a more black ops style team which is why he, Artemis, Superboy and Black Lightning are wearing all black gear. Maybe to distance themselves from the League. And that brings us to the Outsiders.
Now if you know them from the comics you know they were formed by Batman as a special ops team separate from the Justice League, well we already had something similar to that with the formation of the team, which is why I believe that this incarnation would be formed by Nightwing as he may not have rejoined the team after he left at the end of season 2. Perhaps it's out of guilt for taking a backseat role as leader while his team took most of the risks and he feels responsible for his best friend's death.
Then there's the matter of the new characters introduced, Katana, Geo-Force, Metamorpho as well as the girl who may be Halo, Lightning, or even Solstice as well as the four-armed guy that could be Forager. If it is indeed Forager that could mean that New Genesis is trying to establish a presence on Earth perhaps to learn why Apokolips has taken such an interest on Earth. These new characters could be added into the Outsiders to help bolster their ranks if the super-human trafficking is directly tied to Apokolips. [/SPOILER]

Again this is all speculation on my part, any thoughts or alternative ideas?

Thanks for the information, Ed. (It reminds me a bit of the theories that there was some sort of major worldwide catastrophe in the early 6th century A.D. - which is very close to the period when, Greg Weisman's hinted, Oberon overthrew his mother Mab.)
