Nope, Stana was definitely a Chip pick.

One I certainly didn't object to, but he gets the credit there, LOL.

I think the only one of "your" characters I picked was Jamieson Price for a certain Five in the Society, and that was really just as a "Lupin the Third" ref. ;)

MASTERDRAMON> <<For the most part, the "rule" for Age of Gargoyles is "if you create the character, you get to pick the voice" - though for certain characters we put it up for discussion amongst ourselves. It makes the "Credits" pages a fun and dynamic mix of our varying interests, both shared and diverging.

Hence why a lot of my characters tend to be voiced by folks who do dubbed anime (Wendee Lee, Patrick Seitz, Kari Wahlgren, etc.), LOL.>>

You suggested Stana Katic for Tamora the Goth, I believe. A choice which I find to be perfect. I loved her on "Castle". And she's probably the best Talia voice actress we've had, yet (though I don't imagine Tamora with that accent).

Todd>> Yep. Exactly what I was going for. I really wanted to dig deeper into the Scottish roots of Merlin for AoG, for obvious reasons.

As for the Fics: Cycles takes place right before the fic where they found Merlin and is a Pendragon/Heroes of Ulster crossover fic, it also introduces one of the major characters you saw in Masterdramon’s “Assassins”

The Madness of Merlin takes place right after the fic where they found Merlin, and leads into “Prey” which is Arthur’s first encounter with Morgana le Fay since his awakening. The events of “Prey” lead directly into “Assassins” which in turn lead directly into “Quest”.

TODD> Chip's Pendragon is really good. I often raid it for characters and plot devices myself. :P

I've read some (though I'm not certain now if they're all) of the "Pendragon" stories - definitely the one where they found Merlin. I'll need to reread them as a refresher, though.

"Scottish brogue" seems especially appropriate for Merlin, since the earliest versions of the Merlin legend made him a mad hermit living in a forest in southern Scotland. (Well, technically Merlin; in those accounts, he had no connection to King Arthur, and the only feature that carried over into the more familiar version of the story was his ability to see the future - which, during the Middle Ages, Merlin was far better known for than for being King Arthur's wizard.) Which would certainly also fit the strong role Scotland plays in the Gargoyles Universe.

Todd>>Indeed, Capaldi was my choice. I envisioned his Scottish brogue and cantankerous attitude as perfect for my vision of the wizard, and I’m very proud of the choice. I’m also a little disappointed that you didn’t read any of the lead into Assassins. Cycles, The Madness of Merlin, and especially Prey really seem like they’d be right up your alley. I hope you go back and read them before you start on Quest For the Holy Grail. I’ve laid down a lot of pipe for the Quest.

Thank you, Todd! I've really appreciated seeing your reviews for this entry trickle in, and hope that you'll give a look to more of the entries in our sprawling, shared saga - by myself or by my learned colleagues.

And on that note, I can't take credit for the VA choices for characters like Merlin or Mycroft Holmes; those were all long since selected by Chip in his own fics, and I'm simply honoring his choices. He has a bit of a running theme of "Doctor Who" actors serving as voices to the Pendragon cast, which makes a lot of thematic sense - though it's not a franchise I'm all that much invested in, personally.

Finished reading "Assassins". I was amused at a few of the "voice actor" choices at the end, such as Peter Capaldi for Merlin (though I should have expected it, given how often the Doctor's evoked Merlin).

I forgot to mention it in my review at FanFiction.net, but I was touched by the tribute to Notre Dame at the end, as well. It seems especially appropriate for a "Gargoyles" fanfic.

That "Gargoyle's Quest the TV Series" mash-up t-shirt on Redbubble made me smile. I might have to get that.

I saw a couple Gargoyles t-shirts on eBay that claim to be officially licensed and even have the Disney logo on the t-shirt tag, but... are they? Like https://www.ebay.com/itm/362496580897 which... that's not the right color for the Gargoyles text.

Which then sent me off on a search for an 'official' source on the shirt. Which lead me to:

There are some awesome custom/fan designed Gargoyles shirts out there.

A perfect sixth for this, the day Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (a spiritual successor to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night) officially comes out.

I wouldn't expect me to be playing much else during the coming weekends.

Deplorable and loving it!

Oh, Toy Story 4 comes out this week.
The same week I have my annual Disney Movie Marathon coincidentally.
