In the "Young Justice" universe, is Bonnie King-Jones the name of Arrowette's mother? Also, why has she not yet appeared on the show?
1. Well, her name is Bonnie. Since we haven't yet seen her, I don't want to make a decision now as to whether she's hyphenated (King-Jones) or stuck with her maiden name (King). But it's clear, she hasn't fully switched over to Jones.
2. We haven't had the space for her yet, unfortunately. As you must know, we've barely had space for Cissie up to this point.
A certain pointy-haired witch boy got trapped in Fate's Tower, yet he could still communicate with the Light. Did he break out of the tower with or without help, or was a bargain made to get him out?
He wasn't so much "trapped" in the Tower as LOST in it, having trouble finding the "exit". He found his way out eventually.
After the events of Season 2 of "Young Justice," what exactly happened to the Brain?
Well, you know Mallah was in Belle Reve...
With Zviad Baazovi's induction into the Light, will his designation be L-11?
The L-Designations are very unofficial. Used for credit and publicity purposes, but never established "in universe".
How does "Young Justice" moving to DC Universe actually allow you to have the characters use profanity?! I mean, in "Nevermore," I heard Deathstroke say "dammit" and I heard Black Lightning say "crap"! I remember one time watching a Season 3 episode of Avengers Assemble, and I could've sworn I heard Red Hulk say "crap" and that was a Disney XD cartoon show.
Um... there was a presumption of a slightly different (though overlapping) audience central target on DC Universe as opposed to Cartoon Network.
I can't speak to or for what goes on over at Disney XD.
Why is it that the "Young Justice" version of the Anti-Life Equation works differently compared other depictions seen in comics and other media?
Um... because they were other depictions in other media?
We took a careful look at what Jack Kirby created and did our best to adapt it to our series. I assume other depictions in other media did the same.
In the Young Justice animated universe, who and what exactly were the Promethean Gods?
No spoilers.
Just wow. Wow, wow, wow. Today was THE day. I am so blown away by what you and Brandon were able to do with the season finale, and the season as a whole. Coming back to such a beloved show comes with a lot of pressure, and I just want you guys to know that I am incredibly grateful for what you have achieved with Young Justice: Outsiders. Getting a chance to return to the world of Young Justice after so many years was a dream come true for the audience.
An eternal thank you to you, Brandon, as well as the entire cast and crew for breathing new life into the show. And you are gonna do it again! I am sure with as long as the queue is, there is a chance Season 4 will already be here by the time you read this. If that is the case, rest assured, I am praying for Season 5!
You guys have created the best ever adaptation of DC Comics, as far as I am concerned. I am so glad that I have gotten to see more of Earth-16, which is something I never thought would happen. Good luck with Season 4 or 5 or whatever project you are working on when you read this. You are a true visionary, Greg, and I am so happy that youâve gotten to tell more stories set in this world.
P.S. Sorry about all the age questions.
Well, I did manage to get to this before Season Four came out, at least.
Thank you so much for the support and kind words. Believe me, Brandon and I and the entire YJ Cast and Crew (across two seasons now) were thrilled we've had the chance to come back to this property.
And nothing to apologize for. Age questions happen. ;)
Mr. Weisman,
I had a question about the roster of the Team and Justice League after the events of âNevermore.â
1. Batman says theyâre folding Batman, Inc back into the League/Team. Does this mean Metamorpho and Orphan have joined the League and Team, respectively?
1a. Is Metamorphoâs designation 37?
1b. Is Orphanâs designation B36?
1. Presumably.
1a. I generally don't reveal designations here at ASK GREG.
1b. Ditto.
Granny states that non-meta humans die from the effects of the Ghost Dimension. We saw several humans effected by this at the Orphanage in "Terminus". My questions are:
1. Did Halo's rainbow aura heal the non-metas from the ghost dimension and are no longer going to die from exposure?
2. If Halo did heal The Team and the Justice League, did she then heal Jaime since he was a non-meta exposed?
3. Since Helga Jace was exposed in "Antisocial Pathologies" and has not been around Halo since, does that mean she is still dying of the anti-life equation?
1. There aren't necessarily lingering effects unless exposure was prolonged, as it was with Dick. But Halo sped up the recovery process.
2. Maybe. But again, his exposure was relatively minimal.
3. No. Again, that was a brief exposure, relatively.
hello Mr Wiseman big fan of your work
Especially Gargoyles and Young Justice
I have one questions
1. are Victor stone and arsenal from young justice cyborgs
1. By definition, yes.
We know that Bruce Wayne is the legal guardian of Dick and Tim in Young Justice, but I wondering if this applies to the E-16 versions of his other kids.
- Was Bruce Wayne the legal guardian of Jason Todd?
- Is Bruce Wayne the legal guardian of Cassandra Cain?
Do we know that Bruce is the legal guardian of Tim in YJ? I'm not saying he's not, but I don't ever remember revealing that, so I'm not saying he is, either. And if I won't confirm Tim, I'm obviously not going to confirm Jason or Orphan.
If M'comm M'orzz looks down on Green Martians, does that also includes his own mother and his Green Martian siblings?
No spoilers.
So, just how did Guy get into the League when Hal and John were so adamantly opposed to it?
No spoilers.
1. When did Pamela Isley become Poison Ivy?
2. When did Victor Freeze become Mister Freeze?
3. When did Jervis Tetch become the Mad Hatter?
1. Team Year Negative Four.
2. Team Year Negative Seven.
3. Team Year Negative One.
1. In "Princes All," we see Batman blink. Through his mask. Multiple times, at the Justice League meeting. Why? One would assume that he simply has lenses in his cowl. Is he wearing white contacts? Is he blinking behind them, and the animation is weird? Was this intentional?
I honestly don't know. I'd have to look at it again.
If Lady Shiva had not interfered when she did, would Ocean Master have actually succeeded in killing everyone at Iris West-Allen's house or would Bart and Mera have been able to stop him?
Without warning, I doubt Mera could have done anything. Bart's more debatable, I suppose, but I've never subscribed to overpowering speedsters to the point that they can fix everything. I think you have to assume that at least 90% of the attendants would have died. Maybe 100%.
In Bowhunter Security Will mentions that Dick was trying to use him as a Wally West replacement.
a) Did Dick chose Roy and Jim as Wally West replacements?
b) If not, was Jim chosen as a Ted Kord replacement?
c) Was Roy Harper chosen as a Jason Todd replacement?
Dick wasn't conscious of seeking a Wally West replacement, so trying to create a one-to-one relationship between the Harpers and various dead heroes doesn't really track for me.
In young justice i see that Trajectory of infinity Inc has a Southern accent to her voice what state in the south call Home?
I don't know that we've nailed that down yet. I have a vague memory of her coming from Georgia. But I'd have to do some research and confer with Brandon to confirm that.
Is Elongated Man considered as a meta human or just a human with powers?
I ask this because even though he has his stretchy powers, when Granny Goodness was explaining the negative effects of the Anti-Life equation on normal humans, we saw the green lanterns (who are normal humans) but also Elongated Man, who seem like he was having problems controlling his powers.
Elongated Man is not a meta-human (at least not on Earth-16). He's a human who takes a "potion" to get his powers.
Hello Greg, big fan of the show. Loved it since the beginning and I'll love it till the end.
In short, my question is about the newer members of the Justice League, the ones introduced in season 3. With your usage of designations, we are able to see the timeline of how the membership grew. From the first member (Superman 010 and the newest member from season 2 (Rocket 26). Now from the beginning of season 3 you showed us that Kaldur, now taking the Aquaman mantle from Orin, became a member of the League after Rocket, with a designation of 27. In the same episode you also show us another new member, Steel, who you gave the designation of 36. It would stand to reason that there is at least 8 additional members that we have not seen. In that same first episode you also showed us 3 other new heroes that were confirmed to be part of the JL (Batwoman, Katana and Hardware). That lead the total of members not known to be 5 members. Later, in another episode you confirmed that the character Fire (although not seen) and the character Elongated Man (introduced in another episode) to be members as well. This now leads to 3 unknown members. Now we also saw a couple of character on the first episode in the planet Rann with the league. This included Adam Stange, a character you introduced in season 2, and the character of Ice. However, you did not state if either of these two heroes were part of the League. And if they were members, that would still leave one spot in the league filled by an unknow character. Many have theorized that this spot belongs to Metamorpho, another character you introduced in season 3, but it is unknown.
So, my questions are:
1. Are Ice and Adam Strange official members of the JL?
2. Was Metamorpho ever a member of the JL?
3. Is Steel the latest recruit of the League or are there other heroes after him?
4. Could you fill the designations between Aquaman II (27) â" Steel (36)
1. Ice is.
2. Not through the first 25 and a half episodes of Season Three.
3. No spoilers.
4. Yes, I could.
Wow. Crazy good episode today! One more week...
1. Is Elongated Man Ralph Dibny?
2. How long has Elongated Man been active as a hero?
3. When did Elongated Man join the Justice League?
4. What's Elongated Man's zeta designation?
5. Is his identity kept mostly secret from his fellow Leaguers, or are some aware of it?
1. Yep.
2. Elongated Man debuted in Team Year Six.
3. Team Year Seven.
4. I don't generally reveal designations here.
5. All are aware.
Why did Ra's al Ghul leave the Light anyway? Was it because he gradually lost faith in their methods, or was there another reason?
No spoilers.
I'm guessing that Black Manta was expelled from the Light because of his role of bringing his son into the Light, but not realizing that his son had been a double agent the entire time until it was too late?
I guess it depends on how you're defining "expelled".
Who was jason todd closest relationship with when he was robin?
No spoilers
