Was Garfield anger or disappointed that M'gann who uses the Megan Morse form did not adopt him as her brother soon after her graduation from Happy Harbor High School ?
No. I think he was with Rita when Megan graduated. She visited plenty, anyway.
1. You said that Demona would have 4 or 5 great loves total. Does that number include the one-sided romantic relationships she's been in? Like the Paris romance with Macbeth and her romance with Thailog, in which only one partner genuinely loved the other.
2. You said that Demona's clan, between 1040 and 1057, often slept at Castle Moray but never all at once. What was the reason for that? Was Demona's distrust of humans a factor?
2b. What was Demona's primary residence during that time?
3. When Demona is human during the day, does she experience any psychological changes due to her being fully human? The human hormones, instincts, etc... do they affect her perceptions/interests/attractions in any way?
4. Between 1040 and 1057, did Demona have anyone other than Macbeth, human or gargoyle, that she was friends with? Was there anyone as close or closer to her than him?
Thank you. :)
1. I don't think I said that. Can you give me a reference? I definitely wouldn't count what we've seen of either Macbeth or Thailog in Paris.
2. Yes.
2b. Castle Moray.
3. Not that she'd acknowledge.
4. No spoilers.
Was every human relative of Garfield Logan dead when Megan Morse became his guardian ?
Marie, if she had any relatives, chose not to leave Gar with them. Instead, she chose his godmother Rita Farr. When Rita died, Miss Martian took Gar in. No one challenged that until years later, when Steve Dayton claimed custody on the basis of being Rita's husband.
Another YJ question, the most important of all:
Is Wolf a good boy?
I think so.
Hoy many years had M'gann been shapeshifting into Megan Mores when she was still living on MARS?
Since 1979 - though her degree of proficiency would have improved over the years.
Hey Greg, might I get the names of the animators and artists for YJ? I would like to thank them for all that they've done for the show.
Check out the credits, dude.
Does young justice invasion Bumblebee know Clark Kent is Superman ?
Probably. Haven't really thought about it.
These questions pertain to Dick and Zatanna, and were not asked, as far as I can see, having looked for these questions.
1. Because Dick and Wally, as well as Zee and Artemis were best friends, in addition to Dick and Artemis being good friends, is it safe to assume the four of them went on double dates when the former couple was still an item?
2. How do you think Zatara would view their relationship?
3. Now knowing that Dick both lied to her about her best friend's death and used her to further the faking of Artemis' aforementioned death (I'd like you to know, I'm NOT saying his actions weren't justified, they were), does Zatanna now look at Dick in a new light?
4. Is it safe to assume the breakup was one without conflict? I ask because they're on oddly good terms with each other(better than my friends, at least).
5. Finally, I've always wondered: did you ever notice the coincidence that both Zee and Dick are or have been performers at some point?
Thank you, have a nice day.
1. I think so.
2. Do you mean IF he was free of the Helmet?
3. I'm not sure about a "new light". She knew him pretty well already. I'm not saying she's happy about all of this. But she understands.
4. Depends on how you define "conflict," I guess.
5. Yes. Not sure it is a coincidence.
With Garfield, the form he uses most has a tail, is that his base form or just a form he likes using the most? if its the latter, would he be able to change it permanantly? for Example, making it so that his default form has wings instead of the tail?
I think you saw that he CAN turn back into a (green-skinned) normal boy in episode 203.
When do you estimate Young Justice: Outsiders will premiere?
I estimate January 2019!
Phew. Hope I get that right. ;)
How long does it normally take you to answer a question on this website?
Uh... I'm not sure if there's a typical answers. It took me nearly four years this time. I've been faster in the past. I may also have been even slower in the past. But I hope not.
Mr. Greg Weisman,
this is not a question, I just would like to recommend three books to you if you want to understand Korean culture and Korean stories. I apologize if this is unwanted information. Maybe I am already telling you what you know.
Barbara DeMick has written Nothing to Envy.
The Cleanest Race by Myers will be relevant because of the Pukhan clan's location...probably. I think.
Most of all, for the mythology,
Ilyeon (2006) Overlooked Historical Records of the Three Korean Kingdoms, translated by Kim Dal-Yong. Jimoondang: Seoul, Korea. ISBN 89-88095-94-4
Ilyon (1972; 2006) Samguk Yusa: Legends and History of the Three Kingdoms of Ancient Korea, translated by Tae-Hung Ha and Grafton K. Mintz. Yonsei University Press: Seoul, Korea. ISBN 1-59654-348-5
Thanks, CuriousKorean. I'm not researching this stuff right now, but it's good to have these recommendations, if and when. I truly appreciate it.
Dear Mr. Greg Weisman,
Korea and Japan have very ancient blood ties and cultural relationships even if often we fought. Our two cultures and philosophies have a lot in common. Buddhism came to Japan through Korea, and Buddhism shaped a lot of bushido although that was not the only part.
Do any connections in genetics or in cultural contact exist between the Ishimura clan and the Pukhan clan?
I apologize if this is a spoiler request.
Warm regards.
The short answer is yes. But beyond that, I'm going to call this a spoiler request. Sorry.
Dear Mr. Greg Weisman,
though I am no longer in Korea I am homesick for my old country and I cherish its old stories and old folk tales. Rhelasia is in YJ but it is not the same because, I feel it is a stand-in for modern Korea, not Korea's past. So far anyways. I am sorry if my personal interpretation is offending you in any way.
the gargoyles wiki and the Pukhan Clan (we now would say Bukhan) archives I read carefully first. It appearing that nobody has to have asked about the Korean clan of gargoyles in more than 6 years.
The specific Korean legends that Mr. Frank Paur told you are not specified. Very few details are given. I do not know what part of my ancestoral mythology is being involved. I have questions about how the Korean clan and its relationships to Korean history and modern Korea happened but I don't ask for them to be asked now.
Please, I am curious to know what Korean legends exactly were related to you by Mr. Paur. Can you at least give us the gist or the theme of the story, or the legendary punchline? Many of the old stories are moral fables.
Or give any information about the Korean clan you feel like sharing, what makes their culture different with regards to other gargoyle cultures.
It is OK if you do not want to share anything. I have one more question but i will make it a separate post in case I break any of the rules by mistake.
My best regards to you and your great work.
Not offended. No worries.
Rhelasia is modeled a bit on Korea, but it's NOT Korea. And there is ALSO a North and South Korea in the YJ Earth-16 Universe.
I appreciate your questions about the Bukhan/Pukhan clan. I don't remember exactly which legends Frank told me about, and I would have - or hopefully some day still will - do research on those before I actually write anything about them. But I haven't done that research yet.
There's more I could share, I suppose, about the Clan, but, as always, NO SPOILERS.
I was wondering if the was more planned for Disney's Bonkers, had it gone the original route with Miranda Wright as his partner from the start?
I even did a video speculating on this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0BxNcKCHQk
I'm sure we had a lot planned. But it was SO long ago...
Regarding Spectacular Spider-Man (I don't know if you still take these questions but I'm gonna try), I've seen reviewers talk about how season one talks about Consequences, while season two is about Change and maturity, I would only like to know if there is some sort of pattern to these themes, like if both of them are part of stages of some sort of human development or anything, and also what themes would you like to have incorporated in the following seasons.
I don't know if this is a previous answered question but after searching through the archives I wasn't able to find one.
Thank you, love all your work and hope you have a good day.
The fact that reviewers talk about something doesn't mean it matches with our intent.
I'd say Consequences, Change and Maturity are themes of both seasons, and would have been themes of any other seasons, had we gotten to make them.
The major theme of the entire series was "The Education of Peter Parker". Individual arcs had their own themes, too. Biology, Economics, etc.
What happen Garfield's pet monkey after Marie death?
No spoilers.
Does Beast Boy know Nightwing was the first hero robin ?
Yep.
In the Young Justice universe do gods such as Zeus and Isis use magic or is it just energy based powers that are their own and is just perceived as such?
Um... what's the difference?
Did Garfield live at mount justice for most of the years of the five year gape between young justice and young justice invasion ?
He lived with his mom in Qurac until she was murdered. Then he lived with Rita and the Doom Patrol until they died. Then he lived with M'gann at Mount Justice until that blew up. Then, after he was rescued from the Reach, he lived briefly in Bludhaven in Nightwing's temporary base for the Team. Then he lived with his step-foster-father Steve Dayton somewhere in Los Angeles. Then after they had made some real money on Space Trek 3016, they moved to Brentwood. Then he legally became an emancipated minor and moved to the Premiere Building in Hollywood.
How old Aquaman and Mera was when they became husband and wife?
I don't seem to have nailed down in the timeline exactly what year they were married. Sorry.
1) As of Invasion, is Miss Martian able to read peoples minds without them being aware of it? Was it a lack of skill that prevented her from doing so in season one, or is it just not how her power works?
2) Can J'onn read peoples minds without them being aware of it?
1. Her ability to read a mind without the other person noticing is totally dependent on who that other person is.
2. His ability to read a mind without the other person noticing is totally dependent on who that other person is.
What are Brandon's responsibilities on YJ, specifically? What does his job consist of?
EVERYTHING.
In theory, I'm in charge of Writing and Voice. He's top dog on Design and Direction. We both cover post.
But Brandon and I are full partners in every sense. We both break the stories together. And we both write individual episodes. I story edit every script, whether it's written by Brandon, one of our freelancers, or myself. But Brandon gives notes on every script.
We both supervise voice recordings. We both supervise boards, animatics and all designs. We both do post-production together. Because I'm color deficient, Brandon handles Quantel without me. But the rest we do together. Brandon can also draw, so he does some frame corrections and other improvements I could never do.
Plus, he's smarter than I am. He's irreplaceable. I'm largely irreplaceable. Largely.
Hi Greg. When Uncle Ben appeared in Peter's mind to help him fight the symbiote, was that Peter's mind manifesting as someone he loved, or was Uncle Ben really helping Peter from beyond the grave?
The former.
(Or so we've been led to believe!!!!)
I remember reading your mini run with The Amazing Spider-man.
Would you be open to doing a one off comic. I'd love to see you do something with Superman and Batman in the comics, like a fun one off. Like Max Landis does
"mini run"? I wrote half of one issue. That's VERY mini.
I'd love to do more comics work for the big two. I haven't been invited.
