Why did you have Tara say mother of goat instead of mother of God in young justice outsiders?
It started with Brion, not Tara. And, candidly, it started with Brion's voice actor, Troy Baker, who said it once during a recording session, and we thought it was so funny, we used it and kept using it. Then we decided it was a common (translated) expression in Markovia - a less blasphemous euphemism for Mother of God. So, since Tara is Markovian, it made sense for her to say it, too.
1 In Catwoman Hunted Selina is often talking to Holly, is this Holly Robinson
2 Also they talk about someone named Anna is this Anya Volkova, this is the only Anya I could think of and she is a new character, unless I am missing something obvious. Can you please confirm who this Anya is.
1. Yep.
2. Original character.
Really loved Catwoman Hunted any chance you can reveal or share the Lyrics of the Ending Song "Thief in the night", I want to know what the English and non-English part of the lyrics was saying.
I don't know. I didn't write the lyrics. Sorry!
With the release of Catwoman: Hunted (no spoilers) that your state is "canon adjacent," similar to DC Showcase: Green Arrow (also did youâre written for that short film back in the 2010s). Thought if there are any plans to expand the Earth-16 just beyond Young Justice.
What other characters or team that youâre like and anyone else involved in DC that wants to next? Not only youâre guys making no longer Young Justice episodes. You're making the Young Justice Universe.
The list is endless. Whatever they'd let us do. Whenever they'd let us do it.
I know this isn't that uncommon in the fandom, but I am obsessed with the Zeta designations used on YJ. I have a spreadsheet tracking revealed designations, every time they were used on screen, on panel, on Ask Greg, or in promotional material, and a (very rough) timeline of when each number was activated. I even have predictions of who might be the unrevealed numbers. My white whale is the A-series, which by its nature isn't easy to predict. I know it's useless to ask you to reveal the unknown numbers, but I feel like this question is playing fair with the Ask Greg rules: Has the audience been introduced to every individual who has been granted an A-series designation?
And since I have a couple more question slots:
2. Does Captain Atom undergo a significant enough physical change when he becomes Nathanial Adams that he would need a separate designation number, similar to the Marvel family?
3. What name is used for Billy Batson's A-05 designation? Is it William Batson, like how Mal Duncan is designated Malcolm Duncan? I can't imagine the JL computer reading out "Billy" without laughing.
4. Same question as 3, but for Lieutenant Marvel/Freddy Freeman's A designation. Is it Freddy or Frederick or some other permutation?
5. And one that I'm fairly sure will be hit with the SPOILER REQUEST: Are there any C-designations besides Wolf and Sphere?
1. I'm afraid not. I just took a quick glance at the list, and there are at least four characters who are on it who haven't yet appeared. I had to plan ahead, you see.
2. No.
3. It's Billy.
4. Freddy.
5. Yes. I have Cs up to C-07. And honestly, I don't think they'd be all that hard to guess.
How did you cast Jenifer Lewis? She's not commonly seen doing voice over work. Whose idea was it to cast here? How is she?
Jamie Thomason suggested her, I believe. (Though, it's been awhile.) And she was great. I haven't seen her since, so I hope she's still doing well.
How old were Kaldur and Garth when they met?
They're from different city-states, so they didn't meet until Sorcery School, when both were 13.
Consedering klarionâs mind is very chaotic how did he remember the deal he made with savage to return back to atlantis? Did teekl remind him about it?
Sure. Although Chaos doesn't mean he couldn't chaotically remember he had something to do somewhere. And it might as well be Atlantis.
How did Garfield get money to support himself after Garfield permanently stop acting on star trek 3016 in young justice universe?
Garfield has inherited money, and he saved quite a bit from his series. Plus, contracts are odd. You're assuming he stopped getting paid after he left. But that's not necessarily true. He was on medical leave.
1 is child also capable of understanding what teekl says?
2 was flaw capable of communication with child?
1. I don't think she cared enough to try.
2. Of a sort.
Does the Rannian Science Command member seen getting bribed by the Kroloteans in Earthlings have an official name?
Not yet.
Was the reason you decided to have Shiva and not David Cain be the abusive parent who relentlessly trained Cassandra into being the perfect assassin due to her backstory in the comics being too similar to Artemis and Sportsmaster?
Not consciously. Mostly, I think we just found Lady Shiva to be a more compelling character than David Cain.
Hi Greg, want to start by saying I love the world building of young justice and the amount of passion you and the team have towards the shows creation, huge respect! The fact that you even take the time to interact with and respond to fans who feel entitled to have all sorts of opinions is a huge thing in itself and the way you respond and handle situations is admirable! I have a couple questions that im not sure can be answered or would warrant a no spoiler haha. Ive looked through the archive to make sure it hasn't been answered before and I don't believe it has so here it goes:
1. Is the Blue Beetle "Big Bad" of Barts time actually Jaime? Once the Reach had Jaime in captivity they might've killed him off for a new host or maybe actually found a way to put him on mode, so the identity of the human host of the tyrant of Barts time is unclear.
2. Flash´s secret identity seems to be important to him, he even has a different eye colour when in his uniform (blue) as opposed to his actual green. With Jay being a public hero with his name known, surely people must recognise him out of costume? In associating him with Bart as his guardian, it wouldn't be impossible for people to make a connection between Allens and Jay, doesn't this put their secret IDs at risk?
Thank you in advance regardless of whether the questions are answered or not. I love the show a lot and have been enjoying the first half of season 4 so far (especially all of Klarions scenes, the were incredibly chaotic hahaha). Very excited for the rest of the season.
1. IT IS UNCLEAR!! You're the first person that I know of who has noticed that fact. It was left intentionally ambiguous. Jaime assumes, because Bart assumed, that it was him. But I think that's doubtful. Of course, now, we'll never know.
2. Bart's in costume, and the world doesn't know that he's Barry's grandson - especially since Barry's kids are so young. The fact that people know that Jay and Barry are friends doesn't automatically mean that Barry is the Flash. Presumably, Jay has more than one friend.
What you're opinion about the YJ Fandom tent-poles? The Wiki, the Podcast, the Tumblr pages, the subReddit and the Facebook fan groups?
I love the Whelmed podcast, and the hosts have become good friends.
I occasionally make use of the Wiki here: https://youngjustice.fandom.com/wiki/Young_Justice_Wiki, if that's what you're talking about.
I'm not on Tumblr, subReddit or Facebook, so I'm unfamiliar with all of those.
