The Phantom Stranger's voice reminds me of Rod Serling's. Were you going for this?
Not consciously. And not particularly likely. Certainly, Brandon Vietti and I never discussed going for that with either voice director Jamie Thomason or actor D.B. Woodside.
1) In "Inhospitable", we specifically see Beast Boy depositing his saliva into the Bio-Ship. Not long afterwards, Bio-Ship goes into the "mating cycle" (of sorts... I'm just referring to it as that, although I know that it's "more like cell division") and Baby is born. Did Beast Boy's DNA (which was present within Bio-Ship) affect the process of cell division and Baby's birth in any way? Did it have an effect on it? (By the way, I loved the Mars arc -- it was a joy to finally delve into that aspect of M'gann's background!)
2) We know that Troia joined the Team in Team Year Two and left in Team Year Five. When did she first debut as a superhero or heroic figure?
(I think it's fair game to ask this since questions about when, say, Stephanie Brown debuted as Spoiler have been asked and answered. In Troia's case, the basic question has to be re-worded because as far as we know, her original name was Troia, just as Superboy was Superboy before he was Conner Kent or Kon-El, so it's not as though I can ask when Donna Troy debuted as Troia. So I'm asking when Troia became a "hero".)
3) In "Agendas", Wonder Woman seemed quite hostile towards the idea of Batman indoctrinating a young Robin into crime-fighting, even citing his age (nine years old at the time he debuted as a hero) in a manner that suggested that she disapproved. Something must have changed since she had to deal with Troia being a member of the Team for a few years (whether she liked it or not... obviously we the viewers do not know) and then later took on Cassie/Wonder Girl as her protege. Did Troia's origin as a hero help Diana to overcome her worries/concerns about taking on a young apprentice?
1. I'm thinking no. (Frankly, this is an idea masquerading as a question, and I really should kick it. But I'm feeling generous.)
2. Depends what you mean. She wasn't a public hero like Kid Flash or Robin. She was a Team operative like Superboy or Miss Martian.
3. With Troia, it has to do with her origin, and I'm not offering spoilers on that. With Cassie, she basically pulled a nicer version of "Get on board or get out of the way." But having had Troia as a protegee already, probably helped.
1.What on earth is wrong with Barbara ? Why was she acting so petty and showing attitude towards Zatanna in S2E18 ?
2.Was she jealous because Zatanna is Dickâs ex or something ?
1. I honestly don't know what you're referring to, and I have to think you're reading something in that isn't there.
2. As shown in our companion comics, Barbara is definitely not jealous of Zatanna.
1.Did Barbara lose her virginity to Dick ?
2.Did Zatanna lose her virginity to Dick ?
3.Did Dick lose his virginity to any of them ?
1. I think so.
2. I think so.
3. I think he lost it to Zatanna.
But this is me answering without consulting Brandon, so I reserve the right to change answers if, when talking with him, we decide differently.
1. How long has been Barbara waiting for Dick to â be ready for her â ?
2. Did she dated any other guy while she was waiting for Dick ?
3. If she did, was she serious with those guys or would she have dumped them as soon as dick came to her ?
4. When and how did he fall in love with her ?
I mean in seasons 1 and 2, he really didnât seem to have any sort of feelings to her, and then suddenly they were together and living in the same appartement in season 3. It seems a bit forced tbh.
1. Since their early days at Gotham Academy, depicted in Season One and in our companion comics.
2. Sure. Including Jason Bard, as established in Season Four.
3. I don't want to over-simplify, but in fact, she did dump Jason for Dick, as established in Season Four.
4. I think he's had a thing for her, at least a little, since they played Seven Minutes in Heaven on his 14th birthday (also shown in the comics).
It's only forced because (a) you aren't, frankly, paying a lot of attention to details, especially but not exclusively from the comics, as indicated by your questions above and (b) time passes where you don't get to see them. That's part of the conceit of the show. Life goes on. You don't get to see all of it. But when years have passed, you have to assume that stuff happened that you missed. You know, like Barbara being paralyzed, for example.
Has anyone ever been kicked off the Team before? (aside from Arsenal)
Kicked off? No, I don't think so. Even Arsenal wasn't kicked off. He was benched, and then he quit. Lieutenant Marvel and Sergeant Marvel removed themselves from the Team, and others resigned for one reason or another. But none were booted.
When exactly did M'gann and Conner start using telepathy as their main way of talking to each other? By season 3, itâs become their main source of communication, but when did that start happening exactly? Obviously after they got back together, but why did they start doing it? Or had they started talking more through telepathy prior to their break up?
I think they started in Season One, actually, when they were hiding their relationship from the rest of the Team. And it gradually increased over time. I don't think there was a MOMENT when it began.
Dickbabs seems forced and itâs so boring, you shouldâve had kept him with Zee.
#BringbackChalant
I don't think it's forced or boring. But your mileage may vary.
(And no spoilers for the future, but I will say that literally nothing about your post makes me want to change course. If anything, it makes me want to do the opposite of what you're requesting.)
#HumanNatureIGuess
Was the Brain still human when he joined the Light?
No.
When did Robin, Livewire, Stargirl, Looker, and Windfall join the Outsiders?
Robin/Tim Drake joined the Outsiders sometime between September and November of Team Year Nine. The other four joined in December of Team Year Nine.
What do you think the best Young Justice term is: crash, mode, noted, or whelmed?
I don't think it's a competition.
You've revealed here that Batwoman, Elongated Man, Fire, and Magog all debuted as heroes in Team Year Six. Would you be willing to reveal the order within that year that they debuted?
Nope. That would give away designations. And we try to reveal those within the show (or comic) organically.
When exactly did Conner and M'gann find out the Team knew about their relationship? We know that one by one everyone gradually found out throughout the first season, but when did they realize everybody knew? Did someone catch them in a moment or did someone slip and make a comment about their romance in front of them? Or were they simply oblivious and felt they were ready to confess their relationship only to find out everybody already knew? Also what day and month exactly did they officially reveal their relationship? We know that by Image they were no longer keeping it a secret so obviously before that.
I'm afraid I can't remember if we ever solidified that. Once Wally found out, it became kinda moot, I suppose. So I guess, I'll leave the details of their awareness over when and how they realized that everyone knew to your imagination.
In the Episode âInvoluntaryâ during Prince Jâemmâs birthday celebration, I saw a type of Martian Bird! I have three questions about it!
1) do you have a name for it?
2) if so would itâs name start with Maâar? (since many animals on Mars start with Maâar, like Maâarphin Beast and Maâarzuu Beast)
3) Would Gar shapeshift into that?
1. We just called them Martian Birds. Not too original.
2. Because Ask Greg has trouble with certain special characters, it's hard to see what exactly you're asking in this question, but, yes, it would likely follow the same type of format.
3. Didn't he? Can't remember. But, yes, if he felt like it or needed to.
The song that M'gann sang in the Torch song comic about her expressing her sorrow and regret as well as her love for Conner. Do you ever wish or plan to actually make an official soundtrack of that song. I would love to actually hear it play.
There are no plans to make a soundtrack to include that, unfortunately. But you CAN hear it here:

1. Do M'gann and Conner ever do anything special on Valentineâs Day?
2. Do they have a yearly tradition like how Wally often forgot the holiday with Artemis?
3. Also what was their last Valentineâs Day together like since they left in February at the start of season 4?
4. Was the holiday hard for them in the season 2 episode Salvage since they were broken up? I know she was still with Lagoon Boy at the time, but did she miss Conner and secretly wished she could have spent the day with him?
1. I'm sure they do. Valentine's Day would mean a lot to M'gann because I'm sure there was a Valentine's Day episode of Hello, Megan.
2. I'm not committing to anything specific at this time. But see above.
3. They would have celebrated Valentine's Day in Team Year Ten before leaving for Mars. Can't or wouldn't say it's their last Valentine's Day together, but that's as far as we've taken the series, so far.
4. I'll leave that to your interpretation.
1 Child referred to klarion as brother do the chaos Lords consider each other as siblings?
2 if the answer to 1 is yes does this also count for the Lords of order?
1. Sometimes. Depends on their mood.
2. Generally.
A) How does Ollie even afford to be a vigilante in Star City if he is lower middle class? How does he make up for out of pocket expenses like healthcare or his weapon storage vaults? Does he have an inheritance that he is using for his vigilante activities and a small earning (as you mentioned) from somewhere that he uses for his day to day expenses?
A.1) How is the loss of one of his Vaults in episode 5 not a huge loss for him?
B) I thought that Roys trust fund (that was set up by Ollie) was used up in the search for him by Red Arrow? How does he suddenly have a trust fund?
A. Ollie owns his vaults and didn't lose them when he lost his fortune. Otherwise, he's spending a big part of his income on supplies. But you'll notice he can't afford upkeep on Arrowcars or Arrowplanes, etc.
A1. Who says it's not?
B. Roy's trust fund wasn't used up. It wasn't touched. Will refused to use it once he realized it wasn't his.
In which state is Geranium City located?
I don't recall if we ever made that determination.
Since when did Arsenal have a trust fund? Did he pick up financial acumen from Ollie in addition to crime fighting skills?
You don't need financial acumem to have a trust fund. Ollie set it up for Roy way back when Ollie was rich. Ollie isn't rich anymore, but that has no effect on the trust fund. That money is still there. And once Will realized that he wasn't the original Roy, he didn't touch any of it either, saving it for Roy.
Why did Artemis used her first name as her superhero name when she first became a superhero during Season 1 of Young Justice?
Cuz it makes her sound like the Greek goddess of the hunt, Artemis, which is a pretty cool name for a super-hero. (People ask this one all the time, but no one ever asks me why Zatanna uses her first name. Hm.)
Mr. Weisman,
Could the Earth-16's version of Match be regarded as a combination of both Match AND Bizarro from the comics since Earth-16's Match can visibly age; whereas Earth-16's Superboy cannot?
That was our intent, yes.
1. Did Tim initially join the Outsiders to try to get back with Cassie ?
2. Did they broke up because of the Batmanâinc thing ? ( I know it seemed pretty clear in season 3 but I still want a confirmation )
1. Not soley.
2. Confirmation, though I think it was symptomatic of issues they already had.
In Catwoman: Hunted, does Barbara/Cheetah have an African heritage? She mentions her mother was a Urzkartaga follower and that's an African deity (in the comics) and Barbara's skin tone does also seem much darker than in the comic.
Yep, on her mother's side.
Hello, love young justice and where the story is going! Love how real Beast Boy's mental journey is.
I know it was a long time ago, but you and Denys Cowan pitched a Rocket series that had the general Rocket/Icon dynamic.
1) Did you pitch the series after Milestone shut down/the run ended or was it in the middle of the run? Do you remember the pitch for the show?
2) Why was Icon your favorite Milestone comic? Why was Rocket your favorite character? Did you read the other Milestone comics?
3) Icon talked about race, class, abortions, and a lot of real world things that people still do not like to talk about. I know you pitched this show to Nickelodeon, so what was the age demographic? Kids? Teens?
Was there any talk about watering down these issues to make them more kid friendly? How were you planning to show their dynamic and the themes of the comic while airing on a kids network?
4) My last question is are you reading the Milestone reboot comics?
I know all of this was forever ago and it makes sense if you do not remember any of it. Thank you so much for your time and for what you do. I and many others really appreciate it/you!
1. After.
1a. Not any details, no.
2. Rocket just popped for me. For a time, I read every Milestone book. Then I sorta stopped reading comics entirely for over a decade, from about mid 1996 - late 2007.
3. I can't remember.
4. I am so far behind in my comics reading, that too keep track, I've just been reading stuff on my iPad alphabetically. I'm on the Fs. But I will get to the new Milestone stuff eventually.
