As a fan of the original Milestone books, I have alot of excitement seeing them in animation after all these years.
1. Was Virgil ever mentored by Holocaust or even knowing each other?

I'm not clear what you're asking. Do you mean in YJ? If so, then no. Virgil becoming Static predates Leonard becoming Holocaust. But if you're asking whether Leonard and Virgil had some kind of relationship before either got meta-powers, the answer is NO SPOILERS.
