Something that's been bothering me a while... After the events of Deadly Force, when Elisa gets home she stores her gun in a box that can not accidentally or easily be opened, so as to avoid a repeat of the Deadly Force incident. Yet, what good does her gun do her in that situation? If someone *does* break in and attack her, she suddenly has a problem since she no longer has access to her gun. Granted, we've seen that she can hold her own in hand to hand combat, but it would seem that the entire point of owning a gun, protection purposes, is rendered moot by putting it in a hard to access box. Additionally, one would think Broadway learned his lesson about playing with firearms. So, why does Elisa put her gun in a place it does her no good?
The gun isn't in her apartment for reasons of protection. The gun is a tool she uses in her work. When not working, it is stored safely away so that NOBODY can accidentally fire it.
