Hi Greg.
1. When did Artemis Crock and Jason Bard started dating?
2. Are Artemis and Jason still dating by the end of Season 4? Please, I beg you, don't ruin another boyfriend for Artemis. She deserves happiness and I think Jason is really nice, funny and sweet. They make a very good couple! And Jeff is excellent as Jason's voice, I love him.
3. Is it true that by the end of Season 4 Jason doesn't know about Artemis's double life as a hero?
4. If Jason still doesn't know about Artemis's Tigress alias and the hero stuff, what's the reason for Artemis not to tell him? They haven't been dating long enough for him to know? Does Artemis think she's protecting him by not telling?
5. Is Holly (Jason's dog) a Boxer? At least she reminds me of a Boxer. But if she is of no specific breed that's nice because dogs of no specific breed deserve love too.
Thanks Greg for taking the time to reply to these and thank you for giving Artemis a nice boyfriend like Jason. When I saw Artemis was dating someone in Season 4 I got really scared. I misjudged Jason (not knowing who he was) and the moment I saw him I thought he could be an a$$hole and I don't want that for Artemis. I also love he has Holly and his a dog lover. It's so cute that now Brucely has a potential girlfriend? Besides, couples with pets are very cute.
Honestly, I've been missing Stephanie Lemelin and Jason Spisak hyping Wally and Artemis's romance :'( But seeing Artemis and Jason on the show makes me happy and I hope if there's more Young Justice in the future I get to see more of them together and happy.
Have a good day and hope you're doing well :)

Hi, Greg, got some questions for you:

1.) With so many of the Gargoyles’ voice actors always working with you in other works, like Young Justice, do you guys ever get together on a regular basis and reminisce about the good ol’ Gargoyles days? I’ve been listening the Voices From The Eyrie podcast and it really warms my heart to see the voice actors come back as guests to discuss the episodes. I certainly hope we can have them back if Gargoyles gets revived.

2.) We know that spoilers are off limits to the fans, but have you ever shared any secrets about your plans for Gargoyles with the voice actors?

3.) Gargoyles are GENERALLY monogamous, you once said. Does that mean we might see gargoyles practice polygamy someday? If so, is this largely influenced by cultures who normally practice it where the gargoyle clans are located or is this something that evolved over time by adapting more progressive views?

4.) Switching gears to Young Justice. I love Kaldur’s arc! His relationship with Wyynde is so beautiful, and I love that La’gaan has found two great loves and has started a family with them! I’m curious to know if Kaldur and Wyynde would also be open to adding Dolphin to their relationship, since there’s a lot of chemistry between the three of them during the arc?

Hi, Mr. Weisman,

Years ago, at the CONvergence 2014, you mentioned that gargoyles' mating rituals involve "lots of flying" and feats of strength. I wanted to ask if it's possible to go more into details about how it works. FOR SCIENCE.

1.) Would you say that their mating ritual has some resemblance to that of birds' courtship/mating rituals? I've read some studies how different types of species of birds often use types of dance, flying displays, and etc. in courtship and mating dances. For gargoyles, are the feats of strength something the male primarily does in the ritual, similar to how male birds would do a dance to attract females? Or is something both males and females do? Do gargoyles do an elaborate air dance as part of the "lots of flying" bit, and do variations of said dance exist due to different cultures?

2.) For gargoyles that have less humanoid anatomy, such as Zafiro with him resembling more a serpent, would their mating be resemblance of how snakes mate?

3.) You mentioned a long time ago in another ask that gargoyles also "imprint" on each other, such as how Iago imprinted on Desdemona, and Desdemona and Othello imprinted on each other. If two gargoyles (whether it's male or female) ever try to court the same potential mate, and said potential mate is undecided about who to choose, has there ever been cases where they ever try to settle the matter in a duel, or is fighting over a mate is strictly forbidden by the clan (to prevent hostile infighting and death due to the high death rate in gargoyles society if it ever gets too out of hand) and enforced a strict policy that the matter must be settled peacefully (e.g. it must be the female's choice)?

4.) An old ask also mentioned what would happen if an affair is discovered among the clan, what would the consequences be, but was never fully addressed. In that ask, you mentioned that due to customs that cheating/divorce is highly discouraged, but emphasized that affairs DO happen, if even if they are rare. But the consequences wasn't addressed in the ask. So, in the cases that affairs do happen, are the gargoyles participating the affair are banished from the clan or are types of punishment are dealt upon them?

Hi, Greg! Big fan of “Gargoyles” here, and have for the last two decades! Still keeping my fingers crossed we can a comeback on the show someday soon.

The show established that a lot of the mythical creatures we see in the show are part of Oberon’s Children, such as Puck, Banshee, the Weird Sisters, Raven, etc. and etc., and I’ve been waiting all these years to visit feudal Japan during Brooklyn’s (my fave) TimeDancer adventures. When I heard that we will meet the Ishimura Clan of the time period, and where Brooklyn will meet his mate Katana (who I desperately want to meet properly), it made me think of “Inuyasha”, which is set in feudal Japan, where demons and spirits (yōkai and yūrei and yōsei) exist. Gargoyles being the inspiration for tengu, a type of yōkai in Japanese folklore, has already been established in the show. This might be something you can’t answer because it might be too spoilery, but here’s my question:

During Brooklyn’s TimeDancer adventures, will Brooklyn encounter any of Oberon’s Children? And, if so, will meet any in feudal Japan?

As an Asian fan growing up on your show, one of my favorite things was seeing how myths and legends and folklore was weaved into your show. Growing up on anime also made a huge fan of Japanese folklore. I can’t begin to express how happy it made me, years ago, that my favorite character Brooklyn will finally find love in a Japanese gargoyle, who (judging from your hints in the past) will be strong, witty, courageous, and a perfect match for him in every way. I’m wishing you all the best, and I’m rooting for “Gargoyles” to return someday soon and for the fifth season of “Young Justice” to be renewed! :)

Did J’ann M’orzz and M’att M’orzz receive A-designations (A-53 and A-54 perhaps?) for their Earth presence in “Death and Rebirth”? I know you don’t love revealing designations here, but you once did just that for the A-designation status of Blue Devil, B’arzz, and the Runaways due to their involvement in “Endgame”, so I figured I’d shoot my shot.

Hi, Mr. Weisman, long time of your works, especially "Gargoyles", ever since I was a child. I've been following the Voices of the Eyrie podcast since the first episode dropped, and I love hearing the behind-the-scenes stories of the episodes with you and the other voice actors. :D

"Gargoyles" huge comeback in recent years thanks to being added to Disney+ and with the recent action figures line being produced. #KeepBingingGarhoyles also helps with supporting the series. All these achievements are incredible, but still no word from Disney to continue the series. As time goes by, and none of us are getting any younger and the old cast and crew reaching into their golden years, I became more and more worried that "Gargoyles" will see a proper continuation. So, my question is this:

With all of the achievements "Gargoyles" has gotten and its passionate fanbase clamoring for its return, is there a spark of hope that we may see "Gargoyles" return in the near future?

#2. What are the names of Mary Bromfield's parents?

#3. What are the names of Freddy Freeman's parents?

Mr. Weisman,

You have previously mentioned that...

#1. As Shazam, Billy Baston's adult form is a 24-year-old (whereas Billy's normal form is currently 20 years old).

#2. As Sergeant Marvel, Mary Bromfield's adult form is an 18 year-old (even though Mary is 20 years old in her normal form).

But how does that even make sense for both of these characters? I mean, were your previous response for both characters' alter-ego ages actually half-hearted answers? The reason I am asking this is because I was under the distinct impression that both characters' adult forms would be at least 33 years old; which would be the age equivalent of an average graduate student. If this is not correct, than what are the CORRECT ages for both characters' alter-egos; assuming the age range is between the 30s to 40s?

Hi Greg!

I was wonder if I could ask about the decision to give Dr. Fate 3 hosts rather than just giving the mantle to only Khalid Nassour? Khalid is quite literally the only prominent brown character DC uses in their comics at the moment, and to have his role & importance be diminished is rather disheartening; especially as a brown individual myself. I hope this comes across more as of a question rather than an attack, as I honestly can't thank you enough for even just putting Khalid in your show. I just genuinely want to know why Khalid wasn't given the role of Dr. Fate to have as his own completely.

Was there likewise a legal reason for the decision to no longer use the end credits theme from season 1 and Invasion? I loved that end credits theme and was sorry that it wasn't used again when the show was brought back for seasons 3 and 4. Mr. Weisman,

One common factor in nearly every version of the DC Universe is that the circumstances of Jason Todd's death usually somehow involves the Joker, and Jason becoming the unfortunate victim of one of the villain's traps that ultimately leads to his tragic death. That being said, is that also true within the Earth-16 universe as well; even though we may never potentially learn about the full circumstances of Jason's death?

Mr. Weisman,

Exactly what year was Krypton destroyed in the Earth-16 universe? In "Over and Out," Lor-Zod claimed to his parents that Krypton was destroyed EXACTLY 40 years ago; thus placing this event in the year 1980. However, Superboy and Aqualad previously confirmed to General Zod that Krypton's destruction happened OVER 40 years ago; meaning this event happened PRIOR to 1980. If Lor-Zod's statement was true, this creates contradictions to Superman's origin story in Earth-16; since he was born in 1977 and arrived on Earth in 1978. Please clarify on these conflicting facts regarding Krypton's destruction.

Hello Greg.
I'm reading what you've been answering and when you say the majority of the fans are happy with how you've been handling the show (Young Justice) for the past two seasons (and that's why you're not making any major changes in writing) I find it quite hard to believe, being honest. Not because I believe you do not get praise for the show, but because when I look for people's opinion on the last two seasons and if they want the show to be renewed for a fifth I mostly find fans complaining, disheartened and disappointed. Just now I read someone on tumblr saying that after 2 seasons they've come to terms with the thought that it would have been better if the show didn't come back.
And I don't want to agree with that statement but right now I can't not agree completely either...
The pandemic must have made things difficult for all of you, but I think the time it took the show to come back from Invasion to Outsiders was a problem. The writing and storytelling hasn't been as great. Seasons 1 and 2 are excellent, Outsiders imo was bad for the most part. You keep incorporating new characters when there's still plenty between the original and season 2 characters. The storyline/plot of season 3 was all over the place according to most people I've encountered and I can't say it was too compelling. And I know my vague comments might mean nothing to you, I just feel bad for all the pessimism I see. Which is getting to me.
Season 1 was excellent in terms of character arcs, plot in general, twists and turns, surprises, revelations, climax, cliffhanger, everything. Season 2 was different but it was still really good. Seasons 3 in comparison was disappointing. And while season 4 is slightly better than 3, I might see why people are not happy with how the show is going on.
I know this is a silly question to ask, but why hasn't the writing been as good as season 1 lately?
My impression is that if people want more episodes, it isn't because they want more of what you're doing now. If people want more episodes and still hope there's a season 5, they want the show to go back to it's glory days when the plot was focused and the characters (the OG Team, mainly Dick, Kaldur, Artemis, M'gaan and Conner) were united. Fans keep giving you opportunity and chances but from what I see they are disappointed because what you are doing isn't enough.
Some might be fully content, that's why you keep going like you do. But the others (fans who have been with the show since season 1) are left hoping and waiting.
I don't know what I'm doing writing this.... I guess I'm just sad and I feel you should hear not just the good but the bad as well.
I guess it's all useless since you are happy with what you're doing. And that's what matters ultimately.
The show has become frustrating I guess.
