In many retellings of how Jason Todd died, his mom Sheila Haywood often gets left out. Do you know why this is?
I feel like a lot of nuance in Jason's character and murder is lost when Sheila is removed from the narrative. Him dying while trying to save the mom that betrayed him added so much depth and sadness to his character that I feel is lost when she isn't a part of the story.
I'm not asking if she exists on Earth-16 or was there when Joker killed Jason because I know that would probably be a spoiler (though I am curious how YJ will handle Red Hood!) I just want to know if you know the reason Sheila is barely in any adaptions of Jason's murder? Is it just to make the story less complicated?
I just find it frustrating when writers and fans alike blame Jason for his own murder by saying he was too reckless and angry and didn't follow orders when he actually died a hero trying to save someone.

Which Young Justice credits style do you prefer?

Just music
An animation loop with music
A mini story in the credits with no music

Hey, Greg. My friend A.H. with the screeners just gave me the titles and loglines of the final episodes:

"Ego et Superego"
"Zenith and Abyss"
"Over and Out"
"Death and Rebirth"

And I have some questions..... but the most important one: why aren't these titles unwords though?? What a missed opportunity.

Anyway, just dropping by to brag about my inside knowledge. lol

Invitation to Kneel Before Zod confirmed!!! Wish I had figured it out first. lol thinking is hard!! lol

Greg, I have a very important question for you. Did the Metropolis Monarchs, indeed, run away with it in their game against the Gotham Knights? Or did the Knights slaughter the Monarchs?

Dear Greg,

I just started watching “Gargoyles” and I’m already hooked.
Have you ever considered reviving the show?
I know I’d like to see it air again.

1) Gretchen Goode's line in "Nightmare Monkeys" about "father and son" going through time and space has always been intriguing. Is Paul Sloane the biological father of Garfield Logan?

2) Regarding designations A-08 and A-09, are these characters that we have seen in the show, or are they characters that we have not seen yet (like A-06 Freddy Freeman)?

3) Wonder Woman seemed very unhappy with Batman in "Agendas" for making young Dick Grayson his sidekick as Robin. But then two years later, Troia (her little sister) joined the Team. Is there more to this apparent change of heart by Diana than what has been revealed so far? (I suppose this will get a NO SPOILERS...)

4) Lt. and Sgt. Marvel seem like odd additions to a covert team (certainly Sgt does anyway, since she's in a costume that isn't exactly subdued or subtle). Not asking for an in-universe explanation for why they joined the Team, but what was the rationale from yourself and Brandon Vietti? The obvious explanation would seem to be that as the Outsiders didn't exist at the time, the covert team was Lt. and Sgt.'s only option. But was this the reason that you both chose to go that route with those characters?

5) Would yourself and Brandon Vietti ever consider a backwards time skip or are you resolute about bringing the show forward in time for now? This is probably going to get another NO SPOILERS response, but what can I say, I'm curious as to what you might say to this.

Hi Greg!

1) Can you please confirm whether Mary Bromfield is a member of the Sentinels of Magic as of "Odyssey of Death!"? She wasn't standing alongside Khalid and Traci. I know that the ending of "Kaerb Ym Traeh!" strongly implied that she was leaving, so just making sure.

2) What made yourself and Brandon Vietti want to do a darker take on Mary Bromfield here? What sort of material influenced you both? I know that there is the Black Mary stuff in the comics around the time of Countdown and Final Crisis, but of course the character has had many more appearances in the comics, so I'm just curious.

3) Was the general idea/arc for season 4 (Superboy being sent to the Phantom Zone) planned by yourself and Brandon Vietti from early in development? I ask because you've said that you originally had a five season plan and that nothing in your plan has changed, so that would suggest that the premise of Phantoms was always part of your plan.

4) You have said that you will only reveal designations when they become fairly obvious and/or defunct. At least, I think that that is what you have said, although I am paraphrasing. With that in mind, are you able to confirm that Wonder Girl now has designation D-02, and that Geo-Force had D-06 and that Cyborg had D-08 (before he joined the Justice League)? We know that Beast Boy is D-01, that Blue Beetle is D-03, KF is D-04, Static is D-05 and El Dorado is D-07, so it seems logical that Cassie would be D-02 (having been a founding member of the Outsiders and longest active superhero of that group's founding unit after Garfield Logan), while Brion would be D-06 (as the "newest superhero" of the group's founding unit) and Vic would be D-08 (since we know from Tod Donner's broadcast in "Overwhelmed" that he joined before Superboy, Forager and Terra).

Was the creature that Chameleon Boy (and then Ma'alafa'ak) turns into when Lor-Zod infiltrates Bio-Ship in "Rescue and Search" a Martian creature? I ask because I found it very interesting that Chameleon Boy's version was smaller and greener while Ma'alafa'ak's was larger and grayer.

Hi greg
I wanted to know more about martian shape shifting so I hope you could answer my questions.
1-does Martians gain abilities of animals or creatures they mimic? I know turning into superman wouldn't give them strength, heat vision, ... but they can gain abilities that are based on physical body. right? If yes does Turing into a dog give them dog's Enhanced sense of smell?
2-i also read somewhere that a martian only changes apereance and would never truly become a dog as beast boy does. They would only be a martian shaped like a dog. How true is that?
3- as you mentioned before Martians can't change mass so if they turn into an elephant (which normally weights above 4 tons) what would happen? Would they become a weak elephant or something?
4-you said that Martians have relatively high mass because of their large natrual Form, so why when Megan was impersonating as a little girl beast boy who was carrying her didn't suspect anything? Couldn't he understand that she is much heavier than she should be?
Sorry for my long questions and thank you for giving us such great show.

1 in the young justice comics we see ultra humanite working with the brain. My question is before ultra humanite became a member of the light was he just an agent for the light as a whole or did he specifically work for the brain?
2 did ultra humanite mentor Helga before or after he became a member of the light?
3 was ultra humanite and Gretchen's quarrel the first time two members of the light had a conflict with each other?

while it's admirable that you and brandon want to increase representation and tackle social issues you need to remember to tell a good story first - people want to be entertained not lectured - addressing social issues in superhero media works best when it's more removed from the real world politics i.e. X-Men being an allegory for the civil rights movement while still managing to be good fun with action, Kamala Khan being muslim and a child of immigrants is part of her character and part of why she feels like an outsider but we're not hearing about islam and being a first generation American every five seconds, her powers also being kinda freakish adds to the narrative, and btw she was created by a white non muslim woman and the comic is critically acclaimed so none of this woe is me i'm being criticized for being white bs please - you're being criticized because it's bad - some of these kids are so starved for representation that they'll heap praise on anything they can get in hopes that they can get more, that doesn't mean it's good...

Can you stop acting like the bad animation we're getting is the industry standard these days? Because we can clearly see that things like Invincible, Arcane, and Ex Machina look just fine, Young Justice is clearly not using its budget wisely, the still images look cheap and take people out of the story, there are frequent cases of characters not talking when they should be because you obviously couldn't afford to pay the voice actor - if you're forced to do this, maybe that's a sign you've got too many characters, as has been pointed out to you countless times? We could get back to the animation quality of the first two seasons if you reduce the cast, stop adding new characters, have a more focused storyline.

You've made it clear that you care about plot and story more than characters and that you don't give a damn about characters getting balanced screen time (your words, not mine, I distinctly remember you saying "balance be damned" on here when people complained during season 2) but are you aware that the majority of people who consume media feel the opposite? We care about characters, characters drive the plot, we get angry when the plot forces characters to make decisions that don't make sense. Star Wars doesn't have the most original plot in the world but it's endured because we love the characters. This show is treating the characters as so disposable plus you keep ignoring everyone who says they want to see more of the season 2 cast because you claim the plot doesn't involve them. You tell people to be patient or say no spoilers when they ask for more info but you have yet to follow through on a lot of characters. It's annoying.

i want to thank you for teaching me an important life lesson. i spent so many years pining for young justice to come back and lamenting its cancelation when i should've just appreciated it for what it was. i had such high expectations for what you guys would've come up with but the revival has been so disappointing that it's soured the entire show for me. i can't even enjoy the older episodes knowing the direction the universe ends up going. i used to hold the diversity in such high-esteem but the crap you guys pulled with halo made me lose all respect i had for you. i should've just let it be and enjoyed the fanfiction that was a thousand times better. lesson learned.

Hello Mr. Weismann, I'm a big Superman fan and love your work on this show. Time is short, so I'll keep it brief.

1. Did Pa and Ma Kent adopt Conner? Was it a formal, legal adoption?
2. Was it public to Smallville? How did they react to Clark finding his little brother, who is 16 or 17 years younger than him?
3. Does Conner have a dual identity, like Clark does, or when he publicly announced himself at the UN summit it was also as Conner?

I really liked your post about Brandon Vietti and Olympia. And she absolutely made the episode for me. Her own voice-over explaining that Vandal Savage prefers not to kill anyone who might still be of use to him rivals Secret emerging from her grave and Soranik Natu's explanation of the Kaizer-Thrall for "most blood-curdling moment in YJ," in my humble opinion.

So I wanted to ask, what are some other cool moments or aspects or reads that other collaborators have brought to the (aired/published) series that made you think, "Wow, this part of YJ would never have been this good without them?" Artists, voice actors, sound people? I get that there's probably not a lot of room for improvisations, though. It's just fun reading about people complimenting the people they work with!

Dear Mr Weisman 1. Is Vandal Savage (the earth 16 version of course) ever content with anything in his life? or does his hunger for more kingdoms to rule (as seen in the 3 long yarns that He and the Phantom Stranger and Nabu all told) Never end? 2. How did Soranik Natu react when she heard the news about Tomar Re and does she get along well with P.F.? ( my nickname for female Forager to avoid confusion) 3. I have skipped Aqualad's arc for personal reasons but have herd of Mera's new role as high Queen of Atlantis however with her other duties to both the Conservatory of Sorcery and helping to care both her and Aquaman's son Artur does she feel overburdened at times ? 4. Did Nika Fluttermen have much trouble with the bug noises for her role as P.F. (aka Purple Forager) ?

Hi there
How did miss martian grew 4 arms in order to help her in combat? As you already mentioned they cannot alter their mass so her muscle mass couldn't have change so how did she grew 4 more arms?
Is it safe to assume her arms were getting weaker as her muscles had to be separated between all of the arms?
