Hi Greg,

Just wondering which heroes, besides the Zatara's, have lived/fought crime in New York City from Team Year Zero until "present day" on Earth 16?

Thanks for your time, you rock!

Greg responds...

I haven't broken everything down by city.

AQUAMAN Qs CONT...

Also, I'm not asking for any detailed spoilers or anything, but does AJ know any Atlantian magic?..I imagine with his parantage (father descended from the greatest sourcerers of the past & mother is the greatest of the present) he would show a prodigal talent for the art, even at 5 years old...

Greg responds...

Who's "AJ"?

Yove mentioned before that the reason Aquaman doesn't have his "water-bolt" power is because he is not a sourcerer, and only Atlantian sourcerers have hard-water power...now in the comics, the only reason Aquaman can communicate with sealife is because he is a direct decendant of the most powerful Atlantian sourcerers...
My question is, how are these points reconciled on Earth-16? If his telepathy with sea-mamals is not the product of sourcery, why can only he do it (or am I assuming too much)?
And if it is the product of sourcery, even inately, wouldn't it be a simple task to learn such a minor technique as the "water-bolts"?

Greg responds...

You're assuming that there's some connection between telepathy and sorcery, and that's NOT something we've ever connected on Earth-16.

And nothing is SIMPLE when it comes to sorcery.

Why the Justice League keep the Watchtower a Secret?

Greg responds...

Perhaps so that it doesn't get attacked...

Zatanna Fan writes...

Dear Greg,
1)Now that Zatanna is more skilled with magic, is she on the same level as her father Zatara?
2)In episode "Misplaced" Zatanna used a wand to locate Klarion. What it her wand or her fathers?

Greg responds...

1. I'm not too interested in quantifying things. She's more proficient now than she was five years ago.

2. That wand. <grrrrrrr> I don't know what the heck the deal was with that wand. Maybe it helped her focus or something. But she doesn't need it.

Why is superboy only a punching bag for a long time and seems to only hit opponents that cant fight back? Its very strange being how he is suppose to be a more powerful fighter.

Greg responds...

I'm not exactly sure what you're saying here.

Superboy, being the most powerful member of the Team, often takes on THE most powerful opponents. And, frankly, some of them flat-out outclass him. I don't think that makes him a punching bag. Though I do think he can take a punch that most of his Teammates cannot.

If what you're asking is, "Why didn't you make Superboy more powerful?" then I think I've basically answered that before. We did not want our heroes to be over-powered. I don't see what the fun is in that.

Hi Greg!

My questions are related to the Cave layout and refer to the Season One team/time period (especially given that now the Cave is no more - watching the Cave get destroyed in season 2 was truly tragic, by the way, though so beautifully executed).

During "Homefront", when Robin and Artemis are running from the Reds, they end up in what would appear to be the team's shower room. It's pretty huge, which leads me to wonder...

1) Is it a coed shower? (And if I'm mistaken and that wasn't the shower room, then IS there a coed shower room in the Cave?)

2) If so, do the boys and girls take turns (meaning the girls would shower and the boys would wait their turn, or vice versa)? Or are they all comfortable enough with each other that they just shower at the same time and are respectful enough not to stare?

3) If the boys and girls do shower simultaneously, do they wear swim attire (or something similar) when they do so?

I'm just genuinely interested in how you view this particular team dynamic. Growing up in a military family, I'm accustomed to different heads for each gender. However, after watching Battlestar Galactica (the newer series), I found it fascinating that the Galactica crew shared a coed shower room. And, from an economy standpoint, it would probably save a decent amount on space and resources. A very practical outlook, actually.

And I was just wondering what system the Team had in place for this sort of thing...

Anywho, thanks for taking the time to answer my questions and I can't wait to watch more of the brilliance that is YJ:I unfold.

Greg responds...

1. No. There's a men's shower and a women's shower.

2. Get real. These are teens in their full hormonal glory.

3. That seems like an extremely ineffective way to get clean.

Will we see Superboy with a different hairstyle in the series? I know, weird question, but I just love his hairstyle in Teen Titans (which is post pretty similar to Red Arrow's) and New 52 (reminds me a bit of Louis Tomlinson???)
Also, kudos for such an awesome show to the whole cast and crew!!!

Greg responds...

We will see Louis Tomlinson with a new hairstyle. A very large afro or maybe a mohawk.

Of course, I would have thought all this was obvious from watching the show. I mean, dude, note the timestamp.

At what point in the Leauge's history did they fight Starro?
Is that when Snapper first met the Leauge on Earth-16?
Is Starro still alive inside of the block of ice?

Greg responds...

Snapper stood alone against Starro, with nothing to help him except his college beer refrigerator.

Of course, I would have thought all this was obvious from watching the show. I mean, dude, note the timestamp.
